Our country barn house is in a hidden gem location. We are far enough from the city that you can see the stars at night without the city lights but only a 5 min drive to I-25 for a quick access to all your city needs. Fountain creek runs along the back side of our property which also being in wildlife. It’s not uncommon to see a flock of wild turkeys, deer, antelope, or to hear coyotes. We are close to Fort Carson as well as a couple trains. For the most part it’s quiet but every now and then you may hear a train or fort Carson training sounds. Both bedrooms are open spaces but still semi private. One of the bedrooms is in the loft. The second bedroom is on the lower level and is open to the living room. If you have a party of 4 and don’t want to bed share the couch in the living room can be made into a bed. We do live on the property but in a completely separate house that is away from the barn-house. We have a zero contact check in.

The location was quiet and peaceful. The house was open and decorated in
Wonderful stay very comfortable very cozy easy access to all the different places that we wanted to visit while we were in Colorado. Thank you so much. It was great!
Great place to stay if you are looking to just relax. Not alot to do on the property but if you have a car there are lots of hiking trails near by, shopping and much more. The town of Fountain has a few good places to visit.
This was a great base camp for exploring the area. It was clean, comfortable and we enjoyed watching the train go by. We visited 7 Falls, Garden of the Gods, Cheyenne Mountain State Park and Manitou Springs. The view of snowcapped Pikes Peak from the windows was amazing. We could have easily have spent a week in this area exploring!
Great stay. Clean and spacious and private guest house! Wonderfully bright and comfortable! Everything is organized and there was nothing needed that wasn’t already there! We’ll be back!! Michelle is an excellent host!
We loved the little barn house! It was clean quiet! I would stay there again!

My brother and I thought it would be neat to stay in a renovated barn/house on some open land. However we were a bit disappointed with the property. 1) The barn is next door to the host’s home, and backs to other houses. It is not out and away in a field. There is a storage pit behind the barn with a derelict car and camper. The outside seating was dirty and there were a lot of wasps swarming the front entrance area when we arrived. There was no soap provided for showering. 2) The furniture looks neat but is uncomfortable to sit on. 2) Trains: The train tracks run near the road in front of the property, and it ran by blowing its horn 3 times between 1am and 5am. Ear plugs are suggested for light sleepers. 2) Watch your step. The main floor bed is on an elevated floor which is dark wood over brick tile. I woke up in the middle of the night, half asleep, not noticing the step, and fell onto the brick tile floor catching myself on the chair. My brother slipped down the carpeted stairs from the loft, injuring his side (shoes are not allowed and he was in socks).
Nice location for us as it was in the middle of what we wanted to do. Outside of the city enough to have some quiet and privacy. Host responded quickly when had question about checking in. We had a great time!
Nice place to visit with family and relax. Takes a little bit of time to figure out how to keep the temperature comfortably adjusted. We’ll visit again.
This beautiful property was an oasis for me and my wife. The fireplace was on and the snow was falling. Such a wonder filled experience. I thought the nearby train track would cause some problems but, oddly, the trains provided texture which was fully appropriate and appreciated.
The Country Barn house was amazing! Other reviews are right—pictures don’t do it justice! Perfectly clean! We loved opening the windows for a breeze at night. The mini split does a good job of keeping it cool during the day in July. Bathroom has a regular sized tub with wall shower head and handheld shower head. Hot water was great! Bathroom has a closed door. Upstairs loft bedroom is open to below, and nook sleeping area is open and adjacent to living room, up one step from that level. It was nice to lay the living room futon down to watch Netflix! Kitchen is well-equipped, although we always ate out. The barn feel is just amazing! Light and airy! Beautifully decorated! As others mentioned, the sounds of the train passing by across the street was not bothersome, but neat! They went by about 1-2 times a day and at night. Barn house is next to owner’s house. We were greeted when we arrived, shortly after a hail storm. He was nice to come and check on us, but we had complete privacy from that point on! Note: there are lots of little grasshoppers in the yard during the summer. We didn’t mind it at all, and only a few got into the house. But if you are particularly sensitive to the little jumpers, be aware that this is their property too! :) We will definitely love to visit here again in the future! What a GREAT PLACE!!!!!
Nice property with good distance from the city. Beautiful dark surrounding area makes it easy to see all the stats at night time. Host was very hospitable.
The overall experience of the house was good. It did smell like smoke when we walked in. We opened the windows and that helped a little. I was very disappointed by the smell. Our daughter wouldn't even stay in the house. She wanted to leave immediately. She stayed with her friend at her house.
