Great location for a family to settle in for a quiet rest after touring Newport. Loved the multiple bedrooms and bathroom on each floor plus the kitchen and back patio worked for our mealtimes. I would recommend this location to friends. Simple and affordable.
First time to the Rhode Island beaches and we really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean, well equipped. Perfect size for our family of 4. Easy access to a private beach, quiet neighborhood. Shops, restaurants close by.
We loved how the house is a nice enjoyable walk to many points in Bonnet, but is also right next door to the area's key shopping (like Roche's Market and several pharmacies) and other businesses, as well as right next door to St. Veronica's Chapel and it's 8:30m Sunday "last chance" Mass.
Impeccably clean, perfectly organized, great for family and friends travel. We brought 2 of our teen daughters and their school friends, and everyone had a fantastic time! Beach walks are breathtaking, a quaint bakery is within a walking distance, and don't forget to check out magnificent Vanderbilt mansions within 30 min driving.
On the positive side, location was good, beds comfortable, and the back deck was great! However, we arrived to find none of the beds had been made, something we had never encountered in the 15 years we’ve been renting VRBO’s. We were also missing pillowcases and only had two dinner plates. ( The cleaner was called and came over with the missing items.) There was no “ welcome book” with instructions of what to do with the trash, etc and no recommendations of what to do and where to eat in the area, something every other rental has included. Finally, the lawn badly needed mowing. All in all we enjoyed our long weekend but wouldn’t return to this property.

We want to thank you for your comments and for staying at our property. As the first guests of the season, we do apologize for the missing items in the house but were happy to deliver the needed items within just a couple of hours of your bringing them to our attention.
As for the bed linens, our cleaner always leaves them at the end of the bed folded neatly to let the guests know that they have been al freshly laundered and we do ask the guests to make up the beds with those linens upon arrival. As the property is 4 bedroom, there have been a number of instances in the past where just one bedroom is occupied, and all the linens get rewashed unnecessarily which from an environmental standpoint, we look to shy away from and hope are guests are understanding as well and this is the first time it has been mentioned, but the point is well taken.
The grass is cut every Tuesday by a professional landscape company and given the property's sun exposure and the heavy rains the prior week, the thick grass grows quite quickly but we will certainly entertain the idea of having it cut twice per week in the spring season.
A guest entertainment book is a great idea for those looking for suggestions of how to spend their time. Thank you for the idea!
We had a great time. The house was clean and well appointed. We had about a 5-minute drive to Kelly Beach. The owner communicated well. Would stay again. Thank you Neil!
Very clean and easy check in. Gave lots of restaurant recommendations and was quick to respond. Upstairs shower could use a bit more pressure and local beach was drop off only and over a mile away but other then that it was a great stay!
Had a fabulous time… enough room to spread out while staying with family, LOVED the back deck for morning coffee and/or entertaining (the neighboring duplex’s deck is on the side of the house so the deck is private), neighborhood beach ~1 mile away. Owner is accommodating and prompt with responses!
