A cozy cottage ,with all the Mentone feels. Close enough to downtown but secluded for a peaceful mountain get-a-way. Plenty of games and wonderful brow view. Will book again.

We had a wonderful stay. The house exceeded expectations from the listing. We will definitely be looking to schedule another trip to stay here and enjoy Mentone and all the surrounding trails and falls.

Our family had a wonderful time at the Cottonwood Cabin! The location and sunset view were fantastic. Small thing - the Google nest monitor was glowing in the upstairs loft at night and that made it a bit hard to sleep. I probably could’ve asked the hosts to turn it off though.

Our favorite place in the area to stay

We've been here a few times now and we'd come back every summer and Christmas if we could. Clean, well stocked, incredible views, style and charm by the boatload. Perfect place to relax and enjoy Lookout!

Gorgeous views from a gorgeous cabin! This is an adorably authentic, rustic cabin with all the modern conveniences. Relaxing on the back porch was just what these girls needed! The host was wonderful in taking care of every need, even one that popped up unexpectedly! ;-)

Such a wonderful place to stay and enjoy so many things! The tin roof, the view of the valley, the train passing by at least 3 times a day. The quietness of nature and the sounds it brings. The porch is my favorite part of the house. This wonderful place has everything you need and specious! Beds are very comfortable. It is just a fantastic place.

Anniversary Getaway

We were looking for a relaxing getaway to celebrate our 19th wedding anniversary. This place was wonderful. The cabin is a great mix of old style with modern touches throughout. The outdoor space in the back is just awesome. The view is amazing. We had a great time here and hope to come back soon.

Cottonwood Cabin in Mentone, AL

Nice views, but moths and ants in cabin were bothersome as well as scurrying mice noises at night making it hard to sleep.

Apologies that a wooden cabin on the edge of a mountain isn’t your cup of tea. Our home is clean and comfortable.. Your insinuation that it’s not is, well, ridiculous. You were here for 21 days….We’ve never had evidence of mice but the squirrels do run across the roof some mornings and if you’d communicated with us AT ALL, we would have told you that…Our reviews prior to yours speak for themselves. We came to celebrate our 9-year wedding anniversary, and everything was absolutely perfect! Cottonwood has easily become our new paradise — truly a home away from home. We’ve already started planning our return trip because we’ve enjoyed every single second here. From the breathtaking views to the peaceful relaxation, this has been the time together we so desperately needed. We’re not ready to leave and know we’ll be homesick for Cottonwood the moment we do. Until we meet again!

It was so perfect. Location great and view and we loved the little cabin. We did have trouble with latching the garbage can. Could never find a latch on it. Also it needs an overall DEEP clean. A lot of heavy dust under chairs, furniture and a few spider web from rafters. I have asthma and my husband has cancer and this is the only improvement I could say about the property in general. We would love to come back again.
