Enjoy miles of serene hiking trails and discover fresh ponds, woodlands, and the breathtaking view from Lantern Hill’s peak, the highest point in the area. We're nestled along a picturesque country road, providing a peaceful, "away-from-it-all" atmosphere, surrounded by woodlands, gardens, and a scenic open lawn.

Pet Policy
➢We welcome up to two well-behaved, non-destructive pets at an additional fee of $25 per pet per night.

Please note:
➢Pets must be supervised and kept under control.
➢Non-destructive pets only (please crate if unattended).
➢Owners are responsible for pet waste disposal; a $50 fee applies if cleanup is required.

Guest Access

The cottage and its fenced courtyard are entirely private and separated from the main house, which remains closed for Covid safety. Hammocks, firepits, and outdoor lounges are available seasonally, and our hiking trails are accessible year-round. Breakfast is served from 8 AM to 10 AM and delivered directly to the cottage.

Very nice stay!

My husband and I stayed in the cottage with our fur baby and it was perfect. The cottage was very comfortable and very private.

The Cottage

We had a wonderful stay. The cottage was very clean, nicely decorated and the private courtyard was lovely. Our hosts were gracious and very accommodating. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway, this is the place.

Beautiful cottage

The cottage is perfect!

I really enjoyed my stay at the cottage. It’s a separate little house w a fenced in outdoor area. The hosts were very responsive. It’s very clean and parking right out front. We would definitely stay there again.

Incredible place to stay

I absolutely loved this spot. I had such a great time and I actually miss it! I especially love the trails behind the inn. I had no idea that it was Pequot territory. It is really marvelous. Great to walk on. Not too hard, not too easy, tons of history, and a real sense of the sacred nature of Lantern Hill. I highly recommend.

Great stay!

We had a great stay at The Cottage - it was clean, cozy and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay near Mystic. Would love to stay here again in the future and maybe even stay in the main house next time with a larger group :) Overall I highly recommend this stay!
