The property is very private with two ponds for fishing and swimming, sandy beach, swim raft, firepit, large open lawn and wooded walking trails. The property is located right down the road to the best snowmobile, ORV and atv trails. The lodge is 10 min from town and offers many amenities including golfing, rafting and canoeing. Partial house rental may be available, contact me for details. The lodge offers a large living space, huge kitchen with island and dining area. There are 3 main floor bedrooms and 2 bathrooms including large tub. Recently finished basement has game room, second living room, 5 additional bedrooms and 3rd bathroom. There are also multiple decks and barbeque grill.
- Sandy beach, with swim raft for all. - Large lawn open area for young ones to enjoy freedom ride their toys like the parents do. - Nature trails throughout the property for walking and observing nature (sorry no riding machines on trails)
- We do use the property and barn on occasions to perform farming tasks while renters are staying here. We wouldn't use the home or interfere with the guests as the farming is done of the main house property.

Another successful stay at this wonderful home! This is the second time my entire family (adult children, their spouses, and my 9 grandchildren) have stayed at this wonderful home. Updates have been done which further enhanced the experience.
This house was unbelievable..........we were there for a Funeral and this house was able to let our 3 families all stay together. 8 Bedrooms..............We had a great experience and Duane was Great to work with.

Joe and his group were great guests. Took great care of the home and communicated very well. I would rent to them any time. They cleaned and left the home in great shape.
This property has something for everyone.. very clean house nicely groomed property each member in our group had their own bedroom with a Queen to a full bedroom. I heard Zero complaints from our group. This was our 2nd year staying at this property. We will be back.
Overall we were very impressed and had a great stay at the lodge. Our only complaint is the dishes in the cupboards were dirty, we had to re wash everything before we used it. One suggestion we also have is the shower/tub combo is very slick and could use some sort of grips on the bottom, bathing children in the tub and some of the adults with mobility issues had some trouble. Duane was a great host and was very responsive to any questions!

Thank for the feedback. This is the first we have gotten this feedback. We will address this as part of our check.
This was our first large family vacation. We all loved the property and had plenty of space for being together and separate. Enjoyed the large kitchen, basement, and front and back yards, both ponds and the trails through the woods! Even had a fire and played cornhole our last night. We stayed home all day on the 4th of July and grilled and swam and played in the yard. Enough bathrooms for the 13 of us. No closet and limited cabinet access was fine, since it was expected. Loved using the board games at night. We would stay again!
This property is what the doctor ordered. Family never left except for getting groceries. Grandchildren loved the swimming pond, the downstair fun area and the 70 acres to explore. There was so much to do that the TV never got turned on.
My only negative is that there was not storage for our dry goods. Though the kitchen has plenty of counterspace, a majority was taken up with our groceries. My suggestion would be to put a baker's rack in the room with the safe. This is right outside the kitchen and would be within reach.
To top it all off, my grandchildren want to know when we are going back to this house.
This was a great place to spend our Christmas. Duane was a great host starting with his communications of the house rules and detailed additions that we could bring for extra comfort. He also explained how to enter the property so that it wouldn’t be any confusion. We arrived to the beautiful property in the middle of a winter storm and the drive away had been plowed for access to the property. The residence was well maintained and appeared freshly cleaned. We had 15 adults (two at 16&17) and 3 kids (1-6 years old) in our family and had plenty of space. The bedrooms were great and the shared spaces (kitchen, living room, dining room, & game room) were all big enough to be in comfortably while enjoying each other’s company. Both the upstairs living room and basement gaming area had 50” plus smart TVs with cable. This allowed us to watch football, basketball, and Christmas movies of course. The residence also provided a variety of board games, though we had brought our own. I had a couple of questions regarding the smoke detector and additional snow removal before we left and Duane responded immediately with answers to my questions. Overall we had a great time and will return to experience more of what the property and local area has to offer.
Overall, we had a great time. We were a large group, which included our kids and grands. For the last 8 years, we have booked various properties in Northern Michigan for a family getaway. Duane is a great host, the property was beautiful, and the size was great for our group. I have to say that for the price point of this property, we found it rather minimally supplied. Also, the chained and locked kitchen cabinets were rather off-putting. The bedrooms have no storage. Closets are locked, no dressers or dressers full of hosts things. Bathrooms desperately need updating. Very inadequate bedding, no extra blankets, no extra kitchen towels. Not even minimal things like salt, pepper, ketchup, laundry detergent, etc. These are things we have always found at other properties. That being said, we had a great time, Duane was good to work with, and we would recommend the property for a large family event. You might just want to lower your expectations a bit if you've stayed at other properties. I think it's important to have a welcoming atmosphere when you go to a VRBO, we sort of felt like we were intruding on their space. Thank you for having us!
Overall this is a fantastic property! The owner was very friendly and reasonable to work with. We comfortably fit two families (4 adults and 6 kids), and I think even 3 families would have enough space to spread out. We never ran out of things to do. We were lucky to have beautiful weather to enjoy the swimming pond, but even in colder months the basement game room would be plenty to keep kids busy for hours. The finished basement (looked to be recently renovated) was absolutely amazing.
A few points that would have made the stay more comfortable: very limited starter supply of basic items. We got 4 garbage bags, 4 dishwasher tabs, one roll of paper towel, and no shower supplies (shampoo/conditioner/soap) , or band aids. We had to go to Dollar General (less than 10 min away!) to get these items. I’ve never had to provide my own garbage bags or dishwasher tabs at a VRBO property, especially one in this price point. But with two families cooking every meal there for 5 days, 4 dishwasher tabs definitely was not a realistic amount ;)
Lastly, none of the upstairs bedrooms had dressers (and the closets are kept locked), and the basement bedrooms had dressers but were filled with the owners belongings. So all 10 of us lived out of our suitcases. Definitely need to get a spot for guests to put their clothes.
There was also no linens or a ladder for the bunk beds, which wasn’t a problem for us because we didn’t need the bed space, but just a note in case someone reading this is counting on using it.
Thank you for the stay!
Duane was super helpful in booking the property and answering questions. Was able to accommodate our entire party of 20. Was available and helpful to answer any questions we had. The kids loved the swimming pond and the trails in the woods. Would definitely stay again.
We enjoyed our stay at the kenoLodge. We had 20 people and there was plenty of room and plenty of things to do. The kids enjoyed the swimming pond/beach area. Everyone enjoyed the fishing pond. Shopping and dining was 25-30 minutes away. Really the only negative was the water pressure in the showers and smell of the water from the well. Everything else was great and I would consider staying here again in the future!
The property was just as described/shown. The house was clean, comfortable and in a great location for all of our activities. The owner was responsive with communication and we had a wonderful stay. The large yard was perfect for games and bonfires. I would definitely book here again in the future!
lots of room so everyone could have some space when needed. The swimming pond was our kids highlight. My grandson caught an 8 inch bass in the fishing pond catch and release but exciting.
We had 16 in our group. 6 adults and 10 kids. Plenty of space. Host helped through the whole process and answered any questions. Loved the swimming pond, trails on property, and the 8 bedrooms for space. Isolated yet close to groceries and other amenities. We to day trip to mackinaw and surrounding lake attractions and parks.
We had a great stay at Keno Lodge! Duane is so easy to deal with and the house was exactly as expected. Our entire family had a great time. Thanks Duane!
The house was very spacious with lots of bedrooms and entertainment areas. My family enjoyed all of the outdoor space, swimming pond and fishing pond. The owners had excellent communication and replied quickly with their responses. They were very concerned with making everything excellent for us. The only inconvenience was the very slow to almost nil internet. Overall we all had a great week and would highly recommend this listing!
this property is very nice for family's. there are many things to enjoy on the property and well as the closeness for daytrips. property mgr gave us plenty of area locations
We had a wonderful time ! House was amazing, relaxing, lots to do with all ages.
