Beautiful Log Cabin on Lake Murray

This beautiful log cabin on Lake Murray is located minutes away from Dreher Island State Park and a short walk from Buffalo Creek Grill & Marina. It has a fully equipped kitchen which includes refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, stovetop oven & microwave, along with 2 coffee makers. We've also added a full size popcorn machine, soft serve ice cream & cotton candy machine, for kids of all ages. Enjoy the days or evenings on the covered back porch while cooking on the propane grill and taking in the beautiful view (often Bald Eagles are spotted across the cove in the trees). Relax around the fire pit making smores or enjoying an adult beverage. The property has a private boat dock with plenty of room to accommodate 6 cars & a boat trailer out front. We've provided a pack and play, a high chair and a children's gate for the steps, if needed. There is also a playset for children in the front yard. There is a pull out couch in the loft area for extra sleeping space. This cabin is minutes away from Chapin which has several dining options. If it's a rainy day there is a pool table and juke box for your enjoyment, along with several board games and a computer with internet access. We also have Cornhole so you don't have to pack your boards and bags. We also provide a backup propane tank for the grill, just in case.

My Dream Home Away From Home

This is a beautiful log cabin on a beautiful spot on lake Murray! This place has the true feel of being at home! We stayed on the boat most of the time and enjoyed Na’cho Margaritas. It is an awesome place on the lake if you like being around locals! I have nothing negative I can say at all! The cabin made the stay incredible!

Lovely Home, Great Location

My family thoroughly enjoyed staying at this property for our summer vacation. The location on the lake is beautiful and the water was calm - great for skiing and wakeboarding. Our teenagers enjoyed the unique amenities that the house had to offer. Overall the house was very clean, had everything we needed, and was spacious and comfortable. Would recommend this property to others.

Great spot for any age!

It wasn't warm enough to swim but lots of fun things for the kids to do! Soft serve ice cream maker was ready to go, treats ready to munch for the kids, a cool upstairs loft, and a very friendly Muscovy duck who hung around the property. He didn't get the cookies, though, just bread crumbs for him! Will come back - really great place.

Awesome Place to Stay!

We went for a weekend but wished we could've stayed longer. Check-in was a snap, the house was clean and well stocked, the location was awesome (quiet yet less than a mile from the boat launch and a restaurant), and the hostess was super responsive. I highly recommend this to anyone wanting a relaxing weekend in a quiet location. There is no food delivery but if you are a member of Instacart, you can get groceries delivered from a couple of different grocery stores. Even the neighbors next door are friendly. We will definitely be back!

UofSC graduation stay

We rented this property for a few days before my son’s graduation from USC. We enjoyed every minute. The house had everything we needed. Host was extremely responsive. The jukebox and pool table were huge hits… but the covered deck was where we spent the majority of our time… relaxing and laughing and enjoying the beautiful views of the lake.

Perfect Lake Getaway for the Family

We loved everything about this sweet cabin! The owner was so sweet and responsive with any (small) issues we had. The neighbor and his dog were so very friendly and welcoming. This cabin offered plenty of room for our family of five to spread out...and plenty of entertainment when we wanted to come together! Countless games of pool were played, cotton candy made, ice cream made, puzzles put together, games played, cards played...and many, many hours on the beautiful Lake Murray! We brought our tritoon with us, and putting in (just a short drive away) and docking were so quick and easy. We definitely plan to return to this cabin any time we are visiting family in the area again!

Wonderful property

I can’t say enough about this property and the owner. She was responsive to every question I had. The experience at the home was top notch. This started at arrival with beautiful flowers, a welcome sign and cookies! It was such a nice touch. There was so much to do! In the days that we just wanted to sit and relax, the back deck was perfect! We were able to see many beautiful sunsets. We also enjoyed cooking in the incredible kitchen. No hot water, jet tub didn’t work, boat ramp in photos but no access, ss pans instead of non stick, tv installed but not hooked up nor smart tv in game room and house wasn’t as clean as expected. Issue prior when porch roof flew off and damaged satellite which should have been replaced prior to arrival.

Fabulous Family Fun

We had a wonderful time staying here! We gathered to celebrate my daughter's graduation from USC and the house provided the perfect meeting place for her friends to visit. The lake view was magnificent and offered beautiful sunsets each day. We sat on the dock and swam. We all enjoyed the popcorn maker, the ice cream maker and the cotton candy machine!! Made a fun time even more festive. The pool table was a big hit as was the jukebox. So much to enjoy!! For me, the back deck overlooking the lake was my favorite place to gather. The large table was perfect for us to have meals and enjoy being together. Thank you for a fantastic time! We will be back again.

Last Minute Thanksgiving Getaway

At the last minute we wanted to meet family in a central location to enjoy the Thanksgiving weekend. We all enjoy the water so Lake Murray was our first choice location. I messaged Patrice to inquire if a short stay was an option and she responded quickly to let me know the cabin was available. Patrice was wonderful to work with and I highly recommend her! The cabin was a disappoint in that the wonderful outdoor space was extremely dirty. The amount of pet hair, spider webs, and the condition of the furniture was unacceptable. The weather was exceptional during our stay but the inability to enjoy the outside space impacted our opinions of this rental. I wish I could upload pictures so owners are aware of the condition of the rental. With very little effort (and some deep cleaning) this could and would be a wonderful place to stay.

My husband and I live in Teay's Valley WV. Our daughter and son-in-law live here in Chapin with our 2 grandsons. After the birth of our first grandchild, the only place we would vacation was here on Lake Murray. After 4 years of renting a home for a week, 3 or 4 times a year, we decided to buy a place of our own. We learned a lot over the past few years about what we enjoyed most about the different places we rented and people we rented from. Our intentions are to take everything we've learned from our experiences and apply them to this beautiful lake house. We've tried to create a place that you will feel right at home the moment you step inside. Everything you think you will need is probably already provided, unless you forgot your bathing suit, flip flops & beach towels. We are just a message or phone call away if you have any questions during your stay. Clean linens and bath towels are provided for you upon arrival. A washer & dryer are located in laundry room on main floor. We grew up in the 70's so the juke box will lean heavily toward that era. All 4 tv's in house are smart tv's with "direct tv" hooked up to 65" living room tv.

Why they chose this property

After months of looking at homes all over the lake with our realtor and not finding the "perfect" house, she called us and told us about a house that was about to go on the market. She sent us a video and the rest is history. If you choose to stay here you will see why. Log cabin does not do this home justice. It is that and so much more.

What makes this property unique

The private boat dock just off the back porch are perfect for the fishermen or water skiers in the family. The off road parking area in front has enough room to easily accommodate 6 cars/trucks plus a boat trailer. A high chair, playpen & baby gate are there if needed, along with a swing set out front. The ice cream & cotton candy machines are nice but my favorite is the popcorn machine. My guess is other places may have a pool table but I don't think you'll find a "free play" Wurlitzer jukebox in any other lake homes. We've added a few little "extras" for your enjoyment both during your stay and for when you return to your own home. Something to remember "Almost Heaven Lake Paradise" by.
