One of our best in 20 years. Accommodations were awesome. Dock, beach, WiFi, spacious kitchen with everything you need. Linens, and ac! It was a lot of fun. Thank you Cowans!
A wonderful location, private and very quiet. Meticulous, kitchen stocked with cookware and utensils.Lived the kayaks and canoe!Would recommend to friends. Thank you .
The location of this house is absolutely amazing!! The rooms were clean (and a bit dated but that was fine). The towels and sheets provided were great. There was a new sponge, paper towels and toilet paper available. The only downsides were there is a spiral staircase to a dorm type of room on the top level with a majority of the beds and no privacy doors, which made sleeping arrangements difficult to sort out. Also, the spiral staircase made it impossible for one of our guests (currently using a cane) to get to that level. The bunk beds are very, very small and would only accommodate children (which we did not have). On the upside there were lots of noodles, toys, chairs, etc. in the garage and a dumpster which made dealing with trash very easy.

Liked: Check-in, location
Great location on Jordan Bay. Plenty of parking, but house was a disappointment. Terrible oder when we arrived that persisted through the night. We initially thought it was the shag carpet, but smell was worse in the garage and persisted there throughout our stay. Wiith the house fully opened up or with the air conditioner on the smell was not noticeable in the house itself. The sliding screen doors to the deck did not work properly and were impossible for the younger children and a constant challenge for the adults. All the beds were comfortable and we found everything we needed in the kitchen. The garage was well stocked with a variety of water flotations, games, etc. If the issues with the house were corrected we would rent again.
Despite poor weather, the week did not disappoint. Steve was quick to respond to an issue. The house sits in a quiet cove. Would definitely would return for a third visit.
My family and I had the best time staying here for a week. The home was spacious enough to share with my adult children and their partners. The lake was amazing as only Sebago is! Property and amenities as described. Would love to return.
This is a beautiful property. The house is charming and the grounds have lovely tall shade trees with a charming patio overlooking Sebago Lake leading to a small private beach. Our whole family had a wonderful time!
Stunning views from a very large deck/patio. The private dock and beach were terrific. We used all of the water toys and equipment. This is a great vacation spot, and everything was better than advertised.
Thank you.
We had a great time on the lake. We loved the outdoor space and spent the majority of our time either on the waterfront or in the water.
Steve was on time with all communication, and everything was as promised. Check in and check out was a breeze. We would highly recommend.
This was a lovely older home, with beautiful landscaping on a large lot with lovely tall trees and a large sandy beach. It was located in a quiet cove and was very peaceful.
The location is amazing, located on the cove and close to town. The amenities were perfect - canoe, kayaks, dock, life jackets, beach games, etc. The house is big and had everything we needed for two families of 4 - we could have comfortably fit more. Owner’s communication is excellent. Would book again.

Wonderful vacation!
Took me a while to write this review, but now that I'm looking for a rental for this summer I'm remembering how amazing this house was. Private and spacious, it fit our family & friends perfectly, allowing everyone to have their own space as well as bond together in the family room/outside. The water area is wonderful as well. Thank you!
The location of this property is ideal for those who want a bit more privacy. We prefer to go into touristy areas, and go home to the quiet lake house and listen to the loons! The amenities were good including the Weber gas grill, great deck/patio area appointed with patio tables and comfy outdoor chairs. Having a spot to swim in your own yard, Adirondacks, fire pit, and privacy makes this rental a perfect getaway. The house was well appointed, comfortable beds and enough room for an extended family or larger groups. While the kitchen and baths are older, they are clean and provided what we needed, including a blender for our watermelon mules! The things we felt would be helpful would be nutcrackers for lobsters, although there were a few great lobster pots, and up to date house and area information. We weren't sure what was expected of us upon check out (strip beds, towels in washer, etc) However, it really was a bonus that linens and towels were included! We had the most relaxing week. In fact, we found we rarely went anywhere as everything we needed was there!
Our group of 12, (6 kids aged 8-16 and 6 adults) enjoyed our time at this property over the July 4th week. We have stayed together on the Western shore of Sebago Lake for many years but quickly became fans of Jordan Bay due to how quiet it is.
We have two boats, and were able to use both the dock and the mooring, the kids swam to the property's floating dock, and the big, shady backyard and deck provided plenty of comfortable space to hang out together. There are plenty of tall, straight trees to hang a hammock, Adirondack chairs around a fire pit for s'mores, and seating for 14 at two big tables on the deck.
While we spend most of our time outside, having air conditioning inside for sleeping was a real treat as it's not typical in many of the camps we've rented before. The kids all stayed together in the upstairs room, which had 4 beds, an air conditioner and a full bathroom. With a few air mattresses we brought they could fit comfortably in that room.
The owner was very easy to reach when I had a question and followed up after our stay to ensure we enjoyed ourselves. Definitely recommend this home for a large group looking to enjoy the lake!
pungent odor the house was musty . I checked the A/C filters and all were disgusting and dirty. I spent the first hours of vacation cleaning air filters. The odor never left the house even after I purchased air fresheners as well as fabreeze. The vacuum was broken and not working. I had to bring my vacuum from home.
The house is extremely outdated and run down.
All the sliders facing the lake including the master bedroom didn’t have any screens so there was no way to open the doors to circulate air without getting bugs into the house. The master bedroom didn’t have any windows that had a screen.
There were dead bugs and cob webs everywhere in corners and inside windows. Mold in the downstairs bathroom window. There is a bowl and towel placed under the toilet because the toilet upstairs leaks.
The listing stated the dock could accommodate a 26 foot boat. It could not. The dock was small and could barely accommodate a canoe.
The dock was also up very high and in little water so was very dangerous.
I called Steve and explained that the dock was very important to us. It was a huge part of our vacation and one of the main reasons we had rented the house.
I have a 5 year old son and my mother that’s disabled so this was quite the disappointment.
We tried to bring the boat in but the dock was so shallow that the motor rubbed on a rock.
I called Steve again to see if there was anything he could do he said the dock guy would be there on Friday to move the dock into deeper water.
The dock guy didn’t show up on Friday.
I asked Steve if he would be willing to refund a percentage as this was certainly something that could have been avoided had someone been monitoring the property.
He said he didn’t agree that this was something they could have changed he said the lake being low was an act of nature and the dock is there therefore he delivered what he said he would.
I expressed that I didn’t feel it was fair since his listing clearly stated the dock could accommodate a 26’ foot boat and this was a huge part of our vacation as we had planned on boating often.
The water level being low happened over the course of the summer.
Steve agreed to a small refund but it was contingent upon us not leaving a review on the property or the house.
I’ve since noticed the listing has been changed and the wording about accommodating a 26 foot boat has been removed.
I would not recommend this property to anyone and we will not be back.
Lovely home, great location! Enjoyed eating our dinners on the deck. Made great use of the firepit.
The house was very comfortable. We highly recommend this property. There were 8 of us and we look forward to returning.
Could not have asked for a better week! We all enjoyed the house and the lake. House accommodations were great. Plenty of room for all of us. Property had wonderful views, quiet and very private. Would definitely stay again.
Excellent property with all the toys to enjoy lake life! Outdoors is like a private park. Plenty of room for up to 10 sleeping and lots of entertaining space and a garage to store bikes and motorcycles. Fires at night with the moon reflecting off the lake was epic.
We had a wonderful relaxing time at Sebago Lake- one of our favorite places to be. Thank you for sharing your home and allowing our family to reconnect!
The property had everything you would need for the lake and the owner thought of everything that you would need to cook and be comfortable. I will definitely return!
We used to own a house on Deep Cove (Sebago Lake) and it was a huge treat to have this terrific, roomy, comfortable house available to rent on the same cove. All of us, from age 8 to age 73, loved our week there.
