Peaceful Lake Retreat | Private Dock/Grill/Gazebo

This charming 2-story lakefront house has the best of both worlds: The quiet seclusion of cozy wooded surroundings PLUS! the enjoyment of our private dock and gazebo on the lake. Our beautiful 2,238 square foot lake home is nestled on a quiet, protected-water cove on Lake Murray, South Carolina, which makes it hard to believe it is only 3 miles from grocery stores, fine-dining and fast-food restaurants, a public library, and shopping. Columbiana Centre Mall is a short 6 miles from the cove. If you are interested in quick outings away from the peace and serenity of the lake, the Plex Hi-Wire (a family fun and sports center) is 3 miles from the house; Frankie's Fun Park is 6 miles from the house; Congaree National Park is within an hour's drive; Harbison State Forest is approximately 7 miles from the house; Sesquicentennial State Park is approximately 24 miles from the house; Riverbanks Zoo is 13 miles from the house; and, Downtown Columbia is approximately 15 miles from the house.

You won't want to leave the comforts of our lake property, though! Lake Murray is renowned for water sports, swimming, boating, and fun! Feel free to bring your own water toys for the lake, or you can arrange to rent boats, jet skis, etc. from local vendors. If you have your own boat, our private dock is available during your visit with launch at the Lake Murray Dam, just 4 miles from the house!

Enjoy the natural wooded surroundings on the lake path. Don't be surprised to see deer, huge turtles, ducklings, and multiple species of birds. As a lake property, you may see a few southern bugs and insects, as well - just keep the screen door closed so they don't see the light on and come visiting!

Our roomy, comfortable home sleeps 8 people, with 4 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. Each room has a ceiling fan for your comfort. The large Master Suite is on the first floor, with a king bed, walk-in closet, and handicap accessible private bathroom. Bedroom 1 upstairs has a king bed. Bedrooms 2 and 3 upstairs have a connecting doorway, which is perfect for parents and children. Bedroom 2 has a queen bed; bedroom 3 has two twin beds. The upstairs bathroom has double sinks and full shower/tub. We have many amenities we hope will make your stay with us pleasant and easy, including linens, bath towels, soaps, paper towels, and toilet paper.

The kitchen opens into an eat-in area that looks out onto the lake. We have stocked the kitchen with cookware, cooking utensils, dinnerware, flatware/glasses/mugs. We also offer amenities such as a coffee maker, blender, dishwasher, toaster, microwave oven, refrigerator w/ice maker, etc.

The Living Room is a perfect gathering place with a flat screen TV with Roku so that you can enjoy the apps you subscribe to like Netflix, Disney, HULU, Amazon Prime Video, etc. We also provide wireless internet, board games and puzzles for the lazy evenings. We have a collection of paperback books to enjoy, as well, while lounging on the dock or enjoying the breeze in the gazebo. The Living Room looks out over the back porch and the lake.

The back patio faces the lake and has a table and chairs for outdoor dining. An outdoor charcoal grill is available for your use during your stay. The gazebo, at the dock, is also a perfect spot for coffee to watch the sun rise or supper as the sun sets on the lake.

We are located an easy-to-find 4 miles off of I-26.

So that your well-deserved get-away is exactly as you hope, please know that our vacation lake home is on a lovely quiet cul-de-sac on a private road and the 3 other families on the cul-de-sac are permanent residents. As such, our home is best suited for groups and families who are looking for a relaxed gathering rather than a party-house atmosphere.
