The "tree top" suite is the highest room in our retreat, a unique house designed by its owner specifically for hosting on Airbnb!
You will have direct access to its private, open-air balcony where you can enjoy your morning coffee amongst trees as tall as 100+ feet. The suite & common area has everything to make you feel at home, it can accommodate two people with a queen size bed, has a large closet to store your belongings, and a spacious bathroom with double sinks. The bedroom comes with your own remote-controlled heating and cooling system (mini-split) so you can regulate the temperature to your own preference.
We are 15-20 minutes drive from Raleigh downtown, 14 minutes from Cary (only 7 minutes to Crossroads), 5 minutes to Lake Wheeler, even less to Apex. Free parking on the premises, the area is very safe and far from the main road with a gate at the entrance and a small bridge you will drive over to get to the house.
While staying with us, you will have access to other areas of the house, you are free to use our kitchen (espresso coffee and tea at your disposition), you are welcome to hang out in living room area with the fireplace, eat in the window room, enjoy any of the balconies around the house (there are a few), and relax in the "bonus floor" below the kitchen floor - which comes with a large flat screen TV, an iMac, books & games.
We do have a small, very friendly mini dachshund named Sherlock (he’s in a few of the photos) who stays in the house but is restricted to the main floor only.

Very lovely home with lots of points of interest from the treetop room to the not quite finished but amazing hobbit room to friendly hosts and sweet Sherlock, the dachshund. The home is secluded on the lot by many very tall trees and yet is just 10-20 minutes away from all the hustle and bustle of the city.
I would caution that if anyone isn't in great health and unable to walk steep inclines however. The driveway up to the home is steep and could pose a challenge.
Overall a wonderful experience. Thanks for letting my mom and I stay and experience such a beautiful home!
I really enjoyed staying here for my long weekend in Raleigh! The house is great and the room is very cozy. I love that it feels secluded and quiet but still only a short drive from downtown Raleigh. I would definitely stay here whenever I’m back in Raleigh.

Comfortable and very homey. Getting from the parking area to the home is somewhat challenging but the owners are accommodating. Enjoyed their little dog!
