Wonderful setting, relaxing stay, overall very positive. The property was clean, well maintained, and well equipped. Minor imperfections: we found the house small and somewhat cramped, given the price, and there were some oddities (very high counters, tiny kitchen space that was a challenge for any real cooking), but none of these things got in the way of an enjoyable vacation. A nice plus is that the the Cape Cod Canal Bikeway is only a short bike ride from the house.
This house is located in a small, private neighborhood on Mashnee Island, which was quite and very friendly. The house has a wonderful view of the bay and was in exceptional condition. This was a wonderful place for our family of 5 to stay, and was very clean, comfortable, and relaxing. We loved this vacation and look forward to future stays. I would absolutely recommend this place.

Thank you Teal. What a nice review. We are so happy you enjoyed your visit! Thanks for leaving the house in such great shape.
Second time we’ve stayed at this property. A beautiful view of Buzzards Bay and the boats coming in and out.
The house was clean and had everything we needed. It’s a quiet neighborhood and perfect for families with young kids.
We had a great stay here and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a waterfront location!
Our family of 5 spent great time for 4 days. Great location, stunning views, you can greet sunrise and sunset from the porch of the house. House has everything that you need: coffee machine, espresso machine, all sets for kitchen. Very spoiling backyard. 5 minutes walk to the beach. Definitely recommended.
We had a wonderful long weekend here. Everything in the house is newly redone, clean, well-equipped, and comfortable. The view is breathtaking, and the upstairs balcony off the two bedrooms is amazing. Though the beach is not that big, it's great to have a private beach and there is also a nice yard. We would definitely return.

Thank you for taking such good care of the house. We are so happy you enjoyed yourselves!
I will say the bathrooms, upstairs bedrooms, decks, outdoor furniture, yard and ocean view are very nice. Check-in was easy. I would suggest though that the code to the door be the last 4 digits of the booking person’s phone # to make it easier to remember. The couches in the living room are not comfortable due to the squishy cushions. The oven needs to be cleaned. A little Easy Off would work well.
Had a wonderful stay here right before Christmas with my husband, mother in law and 2 small children. We drove about 15 minutes to Buzzards Bay to catch the polar express which was the perfect pre holiday festive activity for the kids. House was very clean and well stocked. Neighborhood is lovely and quiet. Views cannot be beat. Private beach right outside the door. Would love to come back in the summer!

We love that you had a few days of family enjoyment before the holidays. I’ve seen the Polar Express train going out of Buzzard’s Bay and wanted to try it! Please visit again. Happy 2024!
Great representation on the VRBO listing. The home was spacious enough for 7 and the kids loved having their own bedroom. The upstairs bedrooms were very nicely appointed, clean and had all linens stocked. The living space was clean and the kitchen had plenty of glasses and items for cooking. The neighborhood and beach were absolutely stunning, it was so relaxing to sit out on the back deck with coffee in the morning. I would love to come back again, this place was wonderful and the manager was quick to respond and easy to deal with.

Dear Patricia. Thank you for the nice comments. We are thrilled you enjoyed your stay. And most definitely welcome you back anytime! Thank you for taking such excellent care of the home.
My husband, myself, and 3 teenage girls spent a week at the house. The accommodation were just as noted in the description. The newly renovated bathroom was beautiful. It was a peaceful and beautiful location. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had all the amenities, although be advised the vintage oven runs hot, but worked just fine. Groceries were relatively close. We especially enjoy evening dinners out on the back deck watching the bunnies and listening to the ocean.
This was the first time the property actually exceeded our expectations. The home is beautiful, in pristine condition, and the renovated bathrooms were just amazing. It was so nice having that mudroom area which made for a wonderful sitting room. Also, the garage is full of stuff for the beach, games, etc. and that is genuinely the cleanest basement I've ever seen so doing laundry was a breeze and not creepy. Moreover, and most importantly, the location was perfect, the beach was beautiful, the neighborhood was extremely friendly. The yard space was also extremely well maintained and a joy to have the kids play on when not at the beach. Additionally, the owner was more than generous with leaving so many things to entertain everyone, including games. We will 100% book here again. In fact, this may be the only place in the Cape we will ever stay. Loved it. I cannot think of a single flaw. Thank you.
We had a great time at On the Rocks! Perfect views, clean house with everything we needed, and adorable neighborhood. Conveniently close to the Bourne bridge for easy on and off the Cape.
My wife, daughter (2yo), and I just returned from a week long stay and we immensely enjoyed our time together. From time down at the beach, to the back deck and yard, and balcony off the bedrooms, we got the most out of the outdoor offerings. The living room, dining area, and kitchen were the perfect size for us, and gave us enough space to move around but not so much it felt distant. All told, great stay and would recommend to others. We also loved the beach wagon and accessibility to the residents only beach area where it was less rocky. Also, the island is wicked cute and we walked around every day. A lovely little community. The one thing, which is minor, is the shrubs are a bit tall/ almost out of place? They obstruct the water view if you're sitting on the grass, but not from the deck. Though I wouldn't say it detracts from an otherwise beautiful home with a beautiful view. Thanks for the memories! And last minute request to arrive two days early, that was awesome!
My husband and I had a wonderful get away to “On the Rocks!” It was our first time on Cape Cod, and this home served as a great home base. The area was so quaint and relaxing and was exactly what we were looking for! Thank you for allowing us to have such a great stay!
The property manager/owner has great communication! The property is so beautiful— the view is seriously breathtaking!
