Cedar + Pine Cabin is the perfect base camp for exploring the natural beauty of the Central Upper Peninsula. We are close to Lake Superior beaches, Lakenenland Sculpture Park, the Ojibwa Casino, Marquette , AuTrain River, Munising and the start of the Pictured Rocks National Lake Shore.

Enjoy a truly Nordic experience with our private wood-fired sauna. Da Sauna is the perfect way to relax and refresh after your upper peninsula adventures.

There is direct access from the property to the North Country Trail, ORV trails, and Snowmobile trail 417. The owners are happy to offer advise on local trails and sites of interest.

Escape to Cedar + Pine, tucked in the forest across from Lake Superior, it is the perfect basecamp for winter lovers and outdoor adventurers. Surrounded by cedars and pines, this warm and welcoming cabin offers peaceful privacy with all the comforts of home.

After a day in the snow, unwind the Nordic way in your private wood-burning Finnish sauna. Let the crackling fire, cedar aroma, and soothing steam melt away the cold and revive tired muscles.

Cabin Features
The screened in porch welcomes you and provides a sheltered space to share a conversation or a meal. There is an ample entry way to gear up or down from your latest adventure. The dining room seats 6 comfortably and joins the kitchen and living room. You will find the kitchen is well appointed for preparing your favorite meals. When you are ready to wind down, the living room provides the warmth and comfort you need. A built in book case holds many entertainment options including internet connected TV, books, board games, and a small collection of children's toys. The master bedroom has a queen bed and a small seating area attached perfect for reading or completing a puzzle. The second bedroom has a queen bed and the third bedroom is furnished with two twin beds. The bathroom has a combination tub/shower and holds the washer and dryer.

Whether your seeking adventure, a family getaway, or a quiet retreat, this cabin blends rustic charm with modern comforts, plus a one of a kind sauna experience.

The driveway is private and offers ample room for snowmobile/ORV trailers.

Pottery studio in separate building on site. Owner/artist may privately access the building as needed between the hours of 10am-4pm.

Perfect Home Base for Exploring the UP

Quiet haven

This review is easy…a perfect 10! The cabin is fantastic…clean and well appointed. The location can’t be beat…between Marquette and Munising allows you to easily explore the entire area. The hosts are the best…incredibly nice and responsive. Erica even offered to send us a watch charging cable we left behind. This is our 2nd time staying at the cabin and we’ll definitely be back!

Loved the cabin!

The cabin was cozy and had everything we needed! The little touches like the welcome letter, flowers from the garden and the donuts were a nice surprise to see when we walked in. We will definitely be back to see more of the UP and chose this spot to stay again!

Perfect Location, Accommodating Cabin

Wonderful location to explore both Pictured Rocks and the Marquette area. Nearby Lake Superior beaches are beautiful and perfect for kids. The cabin was well equipped and surroundings were peaceful. Perfect location, cozy home with all the amenities!

We enjoyed our time at this property, so clean, cozy and felt like home. Stocked with all the essentials and more. The location is close to Marquette (10 minutes) and Munising (25 mins) and the owner shared about a beach nearby that was warm enough to swim. We loved this home and will definitely stay here again, thank you!!!

Great cabin

The cabin was very confortable and had everything a guest could possibly need. Erica was great to work with and very attentive to any question we had. The cabin was in a perfect location to serve as a base for us to make day trips in both directions along the UP. We highly recommend the cabin and would love to stay there again some time!

We love this cabin and have stayed here several times! It’s the perfect location near Munising and Marquette. It’s is well stocked and very cute and clean! The owner is always available and accommodating. We’ll be back next year!

It was the perfect location to travel between Munising and Marquette. The house was very clean and equipped with everything we needed. Beaches close by for swimming and watching the sunset. The host was helpful and easy to reach if we needed. We would love to come back in the future!

The cabin was just a s pictured! It was super cute and we couldn’t think of anything else we needed for our stay. It is conveniently located between Marquette and Munising. We would definitely recommend this place if you are heading to the UP. We are actually planning another trip in a couple of years and are hoping this place will be available!

I have stayed at numerous VRBOs and this is on the top of the list. The owners are fantastic and made us feel like it was our home. They knew we were dropping off our son for college and went above and beyond to welcome us to the town. We will look to book again and aagain when we visit the college over the next 4 years!!

Perfect Location

We loved this cabin in the roads. 10 minutes to Marquette. 20 minutes to Munising. Super close to multiple beaches! The house is super clean and the owner has made it very comfortable and cozy in the home. We didn’t have a chance to cook out or have a fire because we were running around all the time! Next time we will stay longer and relax!

Home away from home

Cedar + Pine Cabin was the perfect place to stay for our family. The property was very inviting with all of the comforts of home with beautiful artistic touches. It was clean and cozy and had everything we needed. The cabin is close to a lot of the points of interest in both Marquette and Munising. Or maybe you just need to unwind and enjoy putting a puzzle or three together or have family time in the large living room… I highly recommend this property! 10/10 for sure!!!

Loved this place

Cedar Pine cabin was exactly what we were looking for — cozy, comfortable, private, and close to everything we wanted to do in the area. It was a central home for dining in Marquette, checking out frozen waterfalls in Munising, cx skiing at Forestville, hiking to Lakenenland (a must!) and recovering from NYE festivities. The decor was beautiful, the water tasted GREAT, soft beds, super clean and lots of interesting books and games to play with. Communication with Erica was great throughout our trip — she even left us a New Year’s treat and shared ideas for what to do in the area. 10 out of 10. We would definitely stay here again!

Great home base for seeing the UP

We had a great stay at this cabin! It is beautifully kept-up inside and out. It was clean, thoughtfully stocked, nicely decorated, and larger than expected with plenty of space for our family of 5. Kitchen was so cute and pleasant to cook in with a nice assortment of pots, pans, knives, and utensils. Host was responsive and kind, check out instructions were clear and reasonable. Rainy weather had us spending more time at the house than we’d planned, so we were grateful for the board games and comfortable living space. If you’re coming in summer, be prepared for mosquitos! They were thick but bug spray was provided.

Perfect Getaway
