We absolutely loved our time at this home! We loved how it was tucked away in the woods. The decor was reminiscent of a home my mom owned and so we spent our time loving the memories we shared. The home provided all the necessities we needed for our visit. It's also located convenient to so many hiking and waterfall opportunities! The owners were very quick to respond to any questions we asked. I hope we can make a time to stay here again!

Total Nightmare

This is our 2nd time staying at this cottage. The first year was wonderful. This year, we showed up to a house that was not clean at all. There were mouse droppings on everything as well as an abundant amount of mice. The stairs have a lot of loose boards and at one point a vertical support that was glued into place fell and hit one of my children. The owner contacted me after our stay accusing us of destroying her house, having pets in her home (which we did not) and for destroying a quilt (which we did not) when we left we were greeted with a 300 charge to our account for damage that we did not cause. we tried to messag us.

Absolutely enjoyed our stay! They had condiments for our burgers to grill, they had a cute little set up for wine an s’mores for our kids the beds we’re comfortable, it was relaxing the place was big enough for all of us an we had plenty of room, they was very helpful an the place is such a beautiful an cozy homie feeling! We enjoyed every min of our stay! Thanks so much!!!

Girls Get away

This property was just what we were looking for. We are seven ladies who attend the same small group within our church and we came here for a retreat. The house has a warm, cozy feeling. The kitchen had all the things we needed to cook our own meals. The porch was our favorite. The beautiful rocking chairs were perfect for some quiet time on the porch.

Quiet Rest

Lovely property. Great host! Super quiet and relaxing! We loved the rockers on the front porch!!! My only complaint is there is not anywhere to take the trash on Sunday. The facility is closed. Lugging trash in a packed vehicle is super inconvenient, especially not being familiar with the area.

Family holiday vacation

We had a wonderful stay! We love the out of the way places for outdoor activities. We went hiking in nearby Pisgah Nat'l Forest as well as around the cabin. We had deer right outside the cabin roaming around. Nearby Brevard is a quaint little town with shopping and dining enjoyed by all. The cabin was just perfect for us. Thanks!

Family Fall Break 2019

The house is a little difficult to find and driveway can be challenging but the challenge is worth the adventure. My grandchildren, ranging from 4 to 12, wasn't ready to leave. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway, this is the place.

Beautiful home in the middle of the woods.

This home is a perfect getaway if you are looking to stay in a quiet and secluded place. If you are looking for luxury, granite and the town within reach, this place is not for you. It was perfect for us for a relaxing and cozy vacation. The owner made excellent communication with clear directions and warning about the driveway. I would recommend this property for nature enthusiasts!

We loved the wrap around porch with rocking chairs across the front. It is quiet, safe and in the center of 10 acres. I love to wrap up in a blanket early in the morning and listen and watch the world come to life.

What makes this property unique

There are 5 State &/or National parks in Transylvania County with over 250 waterfalls. Fishing is just 5 miles from the home. Wonderful Smokey Mountains. Plenty of shops in Breverd 45 miles from Asheville, NC.
