A beautiful lakeside home with everything you need for a perfect, relaxing vacation. Kayaks and canoes, a swimming beach a few minutes walk down the road, and a comfortable, well-appointed and spacious home to relax in. 2 decks overhead the lake great for reading, eating and relaxing.
I went with friends for seven days, and the property and location had things for every one of us to thoroughly enjoy. We enjoyed kayaking, reading, relaxing around the fire pit, and visited a nearby farm for good produce & strawberry picking. We drove to Mt. Washington peak and hiked on Mt. mansfield. The cabin had everything mentioned in the details and Teresa was very responsive before our arrival.
This is our second year staying in this home while we attend an annual event of friends and family directly across the pond. It’s the perfect sanctuary at the end of the day. I absolutely LOVE this home- everything from coffee on the porch to the fully equipped kitchen and the extra cozy beds is wonderful! I run a VRBO property in Rhode Island and I am extra critical of other properties- this one however gets an A! The owners are also incredibly nice and easy to communicate with!
Our family loved this place. It was exactly as listed. Location was perfect. We loved playing on the pond, at the fire pit and hiking the mountains. We would love to stay here again!
Peaceful and calm cabin close to white and green mountains
It was a perfect getaway within driving distance from Boston. The top floor deck and campfire place in the front were our favorites both for a hangout and watching stars in a pitch dark clear sky.
Best Minnie vacation ever! Teresa was excellent and promptly responsive to messages . Large country charmed home in beautiful location . So close to NH where we were visiting family. Would love to book again !!!
This was our second stay at this home. We had so much fun, we came back again the next year. We stayed a little longer and took more advantage of the dock, kayaks, and canoe. Had a wonderful trip!
My family and I loved this house. The house is beautiful. We took one of the kayaks and the canoe out each day and paddled around the pond. We had a great vacation and would definitely stay here again.
A very relaxing getaway, kayaking on the pond was a real treat, long walks, and fire at night, and a very comfortable house with all the amenities a person needs! The host was very quick to respond to any questions I had! Love it and would definitely stay again!
The property was tastefully decorated, and we loved the knotty pine walls. The master bedroom was beautiful, and we loved the views of the pond from the deck. The home had a very rustic feel to it, which we also loved. Very nice place to stay, with all the feels of Vermont.
Beautiful house with multiple porches, a fire pit and comfy and spacious indoor space. Super easy communication with hosts--they were incredibly responsive and nice, would definitely stay again!
My husband and I loved our stay. The cabin was gorgeous and the location was lovely. Peaceful with a great view of the pond. The house itself was clean, well appointed and the bed was so comfortable. Teresa was a great host, quickly answered any questions we had and the check-in/check-out process was a breeze.
My family and I stayed at this home this past weekend while attending an annual gathering of family and friends at a camp across the pond. This home was everything we could have hoped for and more. It was a perfect retreat away from the crazy flooding and rain that pounded us for most of the weekend. Staying in this house and enjoying the beautiful views from the front porch made the rain seem not so bad! The outside fire pit is awesome! The kitchen is well equipped and the beds are as cozy as clouds!
Property was clean, master bedroom is gorgeous, kayaks were fun, nice fire pit, lots of utensils, plates, cups etc, and other kitchen items, gas stove was great, host was super responsive and kind. Basement w 2nd bedroom could use carpeting or tile, knives were super dull w no sharpener but plentiful (just my pet peeve on knives lol). Sunsets very pretty, some noise from other people on pond partying, but did not go on too late into night. Very relaxing and enjoyable stay!!
The house was beautiful and peaceful! It was perfect for our family of four. Our children (5&7) had no issues with the stairs. We loved the canoe! Life jackets of different sizes were available on the lower level.
We had a wonderful stay here. The property was right on the pond and water access was right across the road. We took out the canoe and kayak out to hang out on sandbar near the dock. We stayed during the 4th of July weekend and were delighted when neighboring camps let off fireworks that we also got to enjoy. We also took advantage of the many biking trails in the area, there were so many options! The closest convivence store is 7 miles away and an actual grocery store is 20+ minutes away, so just make sure to bring what you need. It was a beautiful location even my 13-year-old could appreciate. We would definitely stay again.
This house is GORGEOUS! It literally has everything you need! We ordered groceries ahead of time from Walmart and picked them up along the way. There is plenty of extra floor space for more people so if you have an air mattress, they may allow more than 5 guests. The only issue was the dock and a pathway to it, but the owner is in the process of building a bridge and new dock. Such a beautiful setting!
NICE HOUSE, needs a good cleaning , but satisfactory,
could not find the beach towels , no extra towels needs some upgrade , needs some new pots and pans , keurig coffee maker had no cups did not tell us it was not a regular coffee maker , had to bang down nails on DECK MY WIFE HIT ONE WITH HER FOOT ,. LUCKILY SHE DID NOT GET HURT , OVER ALL OK .,
This place overlooks Miles Pond and is spacious and clean. The towels and washcloths are quite plush and the beds are fairly comfortable - maybe a little softer than I normally prefer, but not complaining. The house comes with 2 kayaks and a canoe to use, which I didn't see in the listing. THAT was a great amenity, as it allowed me to spend one afternoon with a family of loons on the pond. Firewood isn't included for the firepit, but you can buy it from the owner for $10. We were surprised, after having done a variety of vacation rentals, that there was absolutely NOTHING in the fridge. Not a single condiment or salad dressing, which are almost always present. Also, the landscapers showed up Sunday morning for an hour+ to cut the grass, which was a bit of an annoyance. Power lines obscure the view from the decks, and the second floor deck railing is position perfectly to obscure any view of the pond while sitting in the deck chairs. Despite the minor complaints, this place is well worth a visit.
The camp is lovely inside and out - rustic and modern at the same time and comfortable throughout. Nice view of the pond, great lawn for bocce, and easy access to many places to kayak. Saw moose up in the Victory Bog and loons on the pond.
We were in Vermont primarily to mountain bike Kingdom Trails. The house was about 30 minutes from the trails but it was great to be by the lake! I was able to paddle board several days. The lake was pretty and the other people who live there are friendly and considerate. Enjoyed the house and the location!
