About this property
Cody Bear Cabin- Tahoe City, Dog-Friendly
Welcome to Cody Bear Cabin!
1470 SQFT | 3 BEDROOMS | Walk to Lake | Large Backyard | Dog-Friendly | Hot Tub
Enter right into the great room, a wonderful space for the entire family to relax after a day at the beach or on the mountain!
The main floor of the house includes the living/dining/kitchen and great room along with the master bedroom and ensuite bathroom. The second bathroom and laundry room are also on the main floor. (This means that there is no bathroom on the second level with the two extra bedrooms)
On the second level, there is a queen bedroom and a king bedroom. Please note, the staircase is a classic Tahoe staircase: Narrow and can be tough to navigate in the dark or for anyone with mobility issues and there is no bathroom upstairs. (Including any older pups that may not do well with stairs!)
This home is most comfortable for 6 adults but the king bedrooms have extra space available for a pack 'n play (or other creative ways to sleep kiddos!) should you be traveling with small children. Please note that this is a classic Tahoe cabin and will have some creaks and groans. Sound can travel between first and second floor rather easily.
The backyard is fenced and fantastic for your pups and your whole family! The big patio table with 6 comfortable chairs is wonderful for leisurely evening dinners al fresco. The flat, fenced, open backyard also features a large hot tub that is available year round as well as a gas fire pit with cozy chairs and an outdoor shower to rinse off before you tub or after a sandy day at the beach. (Please note: BBQ, Fire pit and patio furniture are stored for the winter season)
STR Permit #: STR22-4584 | Max Daytime Occupancy is 9 (excluding guests 12 and younger); Max Overnight Occupancy is 6 (excluding guests 12 and younger) | Parking: 3 Driveway Spaces - NO STREET PARKING NOV 1-MAY 1 | Quiet Hours are from 9pm - 8am | Placer County's Good Neighbor Policies Listed in Photos and House Rules.

Please note that this rental does require purchasing short term vacation rental insurance for stays up to 29 nights (reservations longer than 29 nights will need to discuss insurance options with Tahoe Cohost Collective prior to booking). The SafelyStay, Inc. Trust and Safety Fee includes up to $10,000 of accidental coverage for contents damage and up to $100,000 coverage for accidental property damage and bodily injury, if the fee has been paid. Complete terms regarding the Trust and Safety coverage can be found at www. go.safely .com/tahoecohostcollective.
Due to unforeseen and uncontrollable circumstances, including poor air quality and smoke associated with wildfires, we highly recommend purchasing Travel Insurance to cover your cancellation, as we will not be able to offer a full refund outside the cancellation window.
Please note that living in the mountains and staying in a private home means that there are some things we cannot always control. For example, weather and harsh conditions have knocked out Wifi and the power before. While these instances are far and few between, we please ask that you are patient as these are things that we unfortunately cannot control. While we will try and accommodate all requests, we handle refunds for situations like this (power outages, appliances breaking, etc.) on a case by case basis.
Furnishings and amenities will be furnished as described whenever possible. In the event that an item is damaged/broken/lost the owner will restock as soon as possible. All items in description/pictures are not guaranteed.
One lesson we've learned about the great outdoors is the frequent requirement to wipe down the deck furniture. Despite our efforts to maintain the utmost cleanliness for your convenience, it seems that nature is working against us. You may need to wipe down the outdoor table, chairs, and any other outdoor seating. The dust and pollen accumulates within a matter of hours.
Tahoe Cohost Collective is not a property manager and is not liable for any injury or damages incurred while staying at the property. All reservations are between the booking platform, the property owner, and you, the guest. We do our best to keep up with the maintenance of the house. Even though the house is cleaned and checked prior to your arrival, we may miss something, or, like your home, appliances, TV, hot tub etc. may malfunction during your stay. If you can’t remedy the problem, please message us.

About the host
Hosted by Greg & the Tahoe Cohost Collective team
From The Owners: We bought this storybook Tahoe City cabin to have a place to enjoy and share with friends and our wonderful dog Cody. We loved the fenced in backyard for pets as this is rarity in Tahoe. The house is great for summer and winter stays with its proximity to the lake and skiing. Growing up in the Bay Area and visiting Tahoe each summer, it was always a dream to be able to live in this mountain paradise. We hope that you enjoy your stay and find this house as cute and charming as we do.
