The Greenleaf Lodge - Old Tahoe Charm with modern upgrades, walk to the lake!

The Greenleaf Lodge is the perfect getaway in North Lake Tahoe! Our cozy cabin in Carnelian Bay has 4 bedrooms and 2 baths and can sleep up to 8 adults or 10 guests total including children. The two downstairs bedrooms and one upstairs bedroom each have queen sized beds and the fourth bedroom upstairs features two queen beds and is the perfect place for kids to hang out with a separate TV, and DVD player. Both bathrooms have been recently updated and feature heated tile floors and instant hot water so you will never have to worry about running out of hot water, even with a large group. The kitchen has been recently renovated with granite counters, stainless appliances, and a breakfast bar. The cabin is on a large lot with a conservancy lot in front of it allowing plenty of room away from nearby homes with off street parking spots for five+ cars. Wi-fi service is excellent for guests who need to get some work or school done while they enjoy their vacation. Our spacious deck has peek views of the lake and is the perfect spot to enjoy a meal with family and friends or relax with a good book.

The Greenleaf is well outfitted with all the extras you need for a perfect vacation. Our two TV's have cable service and we have a variety of DVD’s for adults and kids to enjoy. WiFi is free for your wireless devices and cellular signal is good throughout the cabin. Check out our bookcase to find a good book or play one of the variety of family friendly games available.

Our excellent location provides easy access but still maintains a private feel well away from the road. Carnelian Bay is in the heart of North Lake Tahoe between Kings Beach (5 min drive) and Tahoe City (15 min drive) which both have grocery stores, restaurants, shops, beach parks, and golf courses. Carnelian Bay has several restaurants and activities within walking distance of the cabin. Cross the road and walk 100 yards and you'll be at Patton beach, one of the few dog-friendly beaches in North Lake Tahoe and a great spot to rent kayaks and paddle boards. You can grab a cup of coffee at Waterman’s Landing Cafe, walk over to Magic Carpet Mini-Golf, drink Wet Woodies on the Gar Woods patio, or hop in your car for a short drive to check out the Stateline casinos, hit the golf course, go whitewater rafting, or hike or bike on the many nearby paths and trails.

Amazing Cabin near the Lake

This cabin was exact what we needed! The cabin was just the right size and in a great location for our family getaway. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a nice place to stay with the family.

Perfect location

Classic Tahoe cabin located perfectly across the street from the lake. Beach access nearby, breakfast just a few doors down, wet woody’s at Gar Woods just a short stroll away. Everything you need to unwind and enjoy classic Tahoe vibe.

As always, a great vacation!

This is the fifth time we've stayed at The Greenleaf and it continues to fit well with all of the accommodation needs of our growing extended family. We've been staying here from before the cabin renovation to after and simply LOVE it. It's beginning to feel like our own place in Carnelian Bay -- without the mortgage, taxes and repair bills! We are here only in the summer so can't comment on the winter experience, but the location is great and the owners are super nice.

Cozy stay for four adult friends during Winter Wondergrass!

A great base for attending the Winter Wondergrass Music Festival! Four adults in four bedrooms made it very comfy. Kitchen was well stocked. We loved the old post office for breakfast - you can walk there. Garwoods is also a short walk. Great dog walking opportunities nearby. Heated floors in the bathrooms were a plus. I have nothing negative to say about this lovely home!

Christmas at The Greenleaf Lodge, Lake Tahoe

We really enjoyed our stay at the Lodge for Christmas. The lodge was very comfortable and cozy. It was well prepared, as listed upon our arrival. Its a great location off the lake with incredible views. Only slight criticism would be that the bedding was a bit on the hard side but other than that we had a magical time and very memorable Christmas holiday. We'll definitely be planning a future trip to Tahoe and the Greenleaf Lodge will be at the top of our list. 5 stars, thank you Laura

Tahoe

It was a nice location but never mentioned the main highway around Lake Tahoe was right in front of the house. So it was deceiving in the pictures. This should be stated up front in the pictures. Also, dogs are allowed but there is no fence around the property and with the busy highway at the bottom of the driveway this was concerning. Check in time should be 3 pm. All other rental properties we have stayed at it’s usually 3pm. It was a very nice house but the deck furniture is in need of replacement, all of it is rickety. Beautiful location and the manager was very nice! She let us in early!

Old Tahoe

This cabin has the old Tahoe charm. It is located right across the street from a dog friendly beach. My grandkids loved playing with the beach toys provided. The Old Postoffice cafe was delicious! We had a huge breakfast and could walk to it from the cabin. Less than a half mile away is Garwoods. We sat outside and enjoyed dinner and drinks. I would happily stay here again, thank you for making this family gathering so much fun!

Great Location

This house was in a great location and we had an amazing time. At other VRBO's we have stayed at the house comes with equipment for the beach. This house had limited towels ( no beach towels) no beach chairs or other things we could have used to go to the beach. Some of the beacheds were rocky so a chair would be nice. We found 1 place across the street that would rent them but found out too late. Overall it was a fantastic time.

Perfect Location

I have been renting properties at Carnelian Bay for many years, and this was the best. The house was comfortable, clean and accommodating for my family of 10 and our dog. The proximity to Patton Beach was perfect, and being able to walk to Gar Woods was a bonus. We had a great time!

Cozy escape

Really enjoyed our stay at the Green Leaf! Cozy, clean, warm, and well decorated with attention to detail. The two upstairs bedrooms were perfect four our three kids. Laura was very responsive and friendly. Great location on north side of Tahoe. We'll definitely consider staying here again!

Perfect Getaway for your family plus pets

We had an awesome stay at the Greenleaf Lodge. It was immaculate when we walked in and we loved the lights outside that seemed to welcome us home. We were so thankful to find a place that welcomed our 2 dogs. They loved their time at the cabin and especially the dog beach right across the street. The location is fantastic! Perfect Getaway

A Beautiful Respite from the daily grind

We love to ski in the winter and hit the beach in the summer and we couldn't believe our luck in finding a cabin that combines fantastic location with Old-Tahoe charm. This is a place where a family can really get away from it all while still having access so many wonderful amenities within walking or short driving distance. The great location means you can enjoy everything North Lake Tahoe has to offer in every season.
