We were looking for a cabin in the woods to disconnect, do a little fishing, have a campfire, and be comfy for our anniversary. This cabin was wonderful! Clean, warm & inviting, and the suggestions of what to do locally were an added bonus. Would definitely stay again, or recommend to others.
Lovely remote property with beautiful views. We enjoyed the clean cabin and wooded property. The easy access to historic Montreal and the trails leading to historic sites was amazing. Anyone looking for a relaxing time away will love this place.
Had a great stay at Grandpa Jim's Cabin. Peaceful and quiet area. Great spot to jump on the trails or throw a line in the water! Great communication and easy to get to!
Thanks for helping to make it a great trip, we look forward to visiting again!

We took a weekend ATV trip with 2 of our friends. We arrived to the cabin and were very pleased, it was exactly as described and clean. The cabin has all the day to day essentials and was very comfortable for our stay.
We had a great time, lots to see and do in the Hurley area. This cabin is nestled away in woods near the Gile flowage, wish we would’ve brought our boat!

So glad you enjoyed the cabin and your visit. Hope to see you again soon!
The cabin is the perfect base camp to explore this part of the state. The Gile Flowage is definitely as close to a Canadian Shield looking lake as you will get in Wisconsin.
The cabin was very clean, everything worked, very well appointed.
This is how all rentals should be

We are happy to hear you enjoyed your experience. Hope to host you again soon!
Nice and clean, well supplied kitchen and bathroom. Bed was comfortable. Very quiet place. Only disadvantage for us was having to put our boat in and out each time we went fishing on the Gile. We knew that when we rented it. Just wish the cabin was on the water with a dock then it would have been perfect! Thanks for letting us stay.
Perfect place to take your Black Lab dog. She could go out snoop all she wanted with plenty of room. Take a short walk to the boat launch area where pup can have nice swim and retrieve her toy/stick.
I went 4 on the property only because of the junk laying out back by the shed. Sorry, beautiful property, why trash it?
Enjoyed the quiet of the property - no tv, internet and very limited cell service. Good to get away from it all.
Thanks for sharing your property.
Lots of activities to do around the area!
