Uniquely located apartment with sea/lagoon views, 2 bedrooms (T2)

Unique situated apartment (ground floor), detached and with two bedrooms / A fully equipped kitchen / bathroom and large terrace (34m2) with unobstructed views of the lagoon / sea. Max. occupancy is max. 4 persons.

Important INFO: Unfortunately, dogs are not tolerated in the complex.

The apartment is ideal for summer holidays, but is also ideal for the beautiful and mild spring time, as well as the mild autumn/winter months in the Algarve. Cabanas combines Portuguese tradition with sweet idleness by the sea and the beautiful nature reserve of the 'Ria Formosa'.

Bed linen and towels are available for our guests (for up to 4 persons already included in the rental price).

Location:
The apartment is located within the resort "Golden Club" in Cabanas de Tavira (https://www.goldenclubcabanas.com/en/location/).

After a short walk in the picturesque village of Cabanas you will find a large selection of typical Portuguese restaurants for every budget, as well as bars, cafes and some shops (only 5 minutes walk). Regularly there is a market with fish merchants, fresh vegetables and other things, several supermarkets are also available in the village. On a long promenade along the lagoon, you can stroll around and enjoy the sun or the evening atmosphere.

Golfers appreciate the large number of golf courses available in the area. There are four 18-hole golf courses nearby. Benamor Golf is located just outside Tavira, while Quinta de Cima, Quinta da Ria and Monte Rei Golf and Country Club are not far from Cabanas.

A car is not necessary in Cabanas. For excursions in the beautiful Algarve, we recommend you to organize a rental car at the airport in advance.

In the holiday resort itself, you will be expected by a trusted person who can also arrange transport from the airport to the resort. (Taxi)

The taxi costs from Faro airport to Cabanas are about 60 Euro per trip.

We enjoyed our stay in this accommodation. It had everything we needed for a good holiday - comfortable beds, adequate kitchen appliances, a good lounge area and a nice patio area for sitting in the sunshine.All in all, an enjoyable stay and we hopefully will stay here again.

Quiet Relaxing Holiday

Very clean and comfortable property which was well equipped and very quiet. It had a large outside area which received the sun all day. The resort is well kept and the indoor pool, steam room and sauna were spotless and a pleasure to use. The owner is very quick to respond to any queries and was most helpful when my flight was cancelled. Cabanas is a charming village and I had a wonderful holiday.

Great location. Unfortunately the property is tired. Bathroom needs a full refurb. It looks like no money has been spent in many years. Door missing from Cupboard and generally dirty and mould in bathroom. Toilet seat doesn’t fit and barbecue rusty!!!It’s a shame as the the property is in a great location.

Hd to pick up keys at a reception, no further instructions, we thought the house was occupied because the door was open. Some things were allright, some things (frying pans) dirty. We will not go there again. Location was perfect, club was very nice.

Fabulous location. Great complex facilities and only 5 mins walk to shops and restaurants. Only negative is the mattresses are very soft and could do with being replaced, so we did not sleep well. Cabanas de Taveria is a lovely quiet slow paced environment. Ideal for a relaxing holiday.

Fantastic location

Our family have just returned from a lovely relaxing break here, the weather & location was amazing, had everything we needed within a short walk so perfect for our little ones. Loved the free boat service to the beach, and having use of both the indoor & outdoor pools was great for the children. There were still lots of restaurants open locally this early in the season and we had some great local seafood. Pedro was so quick to respond to our questions and his place is a real gem. Thanks for an amazing stay!

Location is good and it's nice that you can use the resort's facilities including the pools. The house is somewhat worn-out, but it's pretty okay for most people. There is nothing luxury about it. It has a good outdoor grill and two sunbeds. There's no sunshine in the late afternoon on the terrace but the pool is not far away.

Dated furnishings and broken items

Suspect photos show the property as it was nearly 10 years ago. Furnishings and outside walls had years of neglect and usage. Majority of cushions, sofa (a beige throw does not cover stained arms), curtains, bedding, bath mat all well worn or stained. Fridge iced up, replacement toilet seat wrong size, bed broke when sat upon (already broken before), light fittings not working, patio door locks broken and replaced by steel bars, shutters broken in lounge. Location, shower, washing machine, dishwasher only good things about this tired property. Owner did send maintenance person around promptly, who has hopefully fixed some items. But all furnishings and bedding need replacing.

Schöne Aussicht und netter Ort

Die Wohnung ist schön eingerichtet und hat eine tolle Terrasse. Wir waren im Mai dort und es waren angenehme Temperaturen. Es gab kaum Nachbarn und es war ruhig, in der Hochsaison sicherlich etwas belebter. Es war alles da, was wir bräuchten. Besonders gefallen haben unserer Tochter, die zwei Pools innen und außen. Der Strand ist unendlich lang und in wenigen Minuten erreichbar. Auch der Ort bietet eine ausreichende Auswahl an Supermarkt und Restaurants/Bars,so dass man auch auf Auto verzichten kann. Wir waren sehr zufrieden.

Die Wohnung hat 3 große Vorteile: die Lage, die Ausstattung und die Anbindung an die Angebote des Golden Club (2 Außen-Schwimmbäder, beh. Hallenbad, Sauna, Dampfbad, Kraftraum usw.). Es ist absolut ruhig (jedenfalls im November/Dezember) Der Blick von der hübschen, geräumigen und teilüberdachten Terrasse geht ins Grüne, auf das Haff und das Meer. Wären da nicht die Gezeiten und ab und zu vorbeituckernde Fischerbötchen vermutete man bei Flut einen Binnensee. Stand-up-Paddler fahren dort. Das Häuschen liegt am Rande von Cabanas, ein lebendiges Fischerörtchen mit Hafen, kilometerlanger Uferpromenade und sogar einer kleinen Markthalle, in der sich von Die-Sa alles erwerben lässt, was Meer und Umland an Gutem hervorbringen. Da Cabanas kein reiner Touristenort ist, sind dort auch im Herbst/Winter die Bürgersteige nicht hochgeklappt. Vielmehr herrschte reger Betrieb in den zahlreichen Cafés, Bars und Restaurants. Unser Lieblingslokal Torrié in der Routa Infante Henrique (ca 5 Gehminuten vom Häuschen entfernt) macht z.B. Winterpause von Mitte Dez. bis Anfang Februar (unbedingt probieren: Sopa de peixe als Hauptspeise). Es gibt mehrere große und kleine Lebensmittelgeschäfte. Alles ist fußläufig erreichbar. Der mit (kostenlosem) Böötchen erreichbare Strand ist endlos, total sauber und naturbelassen, Anlegeplatz ist keine 30m vom Haus entfernt. Und schöne Rad- und Fußwege gibt es. Wir konnten im Advent jeden Tag auf der Terrasse frühstücken! Warme Wollwäsche empfiehlt sich gleichwohl.
