The main level has a fully furnished galley style kitchen, dining area, MBR/BA with queen bed, Queen guest room, bath, and LR with wood burning fireplace. Sliding glass doors from the LR lead to the deck & gas grill. Take the stairs to the "kid zone" & enjoy the foosball table, games, books, and crafting supplies, daybed, and 3rd BR with a full & 2 twins. Inflatable hot tub recently added. Near Watauga Lake, Boone, NC, trails, Bristol Raceway & more.

My husband Paul retired from the USMC after 20 years of service. I spent my career in ophthalmology as a technician and retinal angiographer. We live in on a horse farm in eastern NC close area beaches, and recently celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary. Our son Christian recently turned two, and he is our inspiration for Leap Frog Lodge. He loves jumping around like a frog and saying "ribbit, ribbit" when he does. He is the answer to our prayers, our most precious blessing, and we are lucky to be his parents.

Why they chose this property

We recently sold a long term rental in Wilmington, NC and decided to purchase an Airbnb/VRBO property. I grew up in east Tennessee, and I've always loved the mountain vies. We chose this cabin because it is cozy, peaceful, and has beautiful views of the mountains. Watauga Lake is approximately 2 miles away, and it is breathtakingly beautiful and the 3rd cleanest lake in the US.

What makes this property unique

I loved this cabin because it instantly felt like home, and it had a porch swing which I love. It required little work, just a few minor touches to make it our own. I want our son to learn about nature, and he is happy there.
