Capture the essence of island living in this completely remodeled, mid-island, three bedroom and two bath home around the corner from the beach. Home opens to a spacious great room, tastefully decorated in a tropical motif. Beautiful hard wood flooring in great room where the family can enjoy a wicker seating group, leather recliner with TV/DVD in entertainment center. French country kitchen with large curved counter providing room for 4 bar stools. Stainless steel appliances with sub-zero refrigerator and double oven stove. Dining area includes table for 6 plus a desk/computer area off of the kitchen. Double doors from the kitchen lead to the outdoor deck overlooking the pool. In addition to the Ethernet connection at the desk the home has wireless internet for your convenience.

Master bedroom includes a queen bed, featuring a private bath with a whirlpool tub, walk in shower, walk in closet which features a washer and dryer. Guest bedrooms include one with a queen bed and a second with twin beds. Both guest bedrooms adjacent to full bath. All bedrooms feature a TV/DVD, ceiling fans, large closets and ample dresser space.

Side deck off kitchen with table, chairs and umbrella is a perfect place for breakfast with steps down to the patio area around a large pool.
The lower patio includes gas grill,a large table and six chairs, umbrella and lounge chairs. Large screened porch overlooks the pool and a beautifully landscaped fenced in backyard. Comfortable furniture and a dining area also included in the screened porch. Large covered area under the house is perfect for keeping your bikes, beach and recreational items protected from the sun. A large circular driveway and parking area provides plenty of room for ample off-street parking.
Our home is just around the corner from the beach path and we are just the third home from one of the most beautiful and most private beaches on Hilton Head Island. The private beach path through the palm trees opens up to sand dunes and tall grass as you near the white sandy beach.
Another beach access option is also a short walk away through the public access down a boardwalk that has restrooms right on the beach path.
Save luggage space, as we provide beach chairs, a pop-up beach tent, beach umbrella and even a wagon to give young children a ride down the path. Everything you need for a great beach vacation on Hilton Head Island.

Moonshell is fantastic!

The location of this house is so convenient. We've stayed on the Folly Field end of HHI for years and this home is a short walk from the beach. It was the perfect spot for six of us.

Great vacation home

Quiet and peaceful, great location

We really enjoyed our stay. Neighborhood is very quiet and such a great location. We loved being so close to the beach and having a pool at the house. Home was very clean and plenty of room. Would definitely stay here again!

Great family vacation with dogs

A week stay with spouse, daughter, SIL, almost 3 year old grandson and two dogs. More spacious inside than pics depict. Easy walk to beach. We did bring our own beach cart/chairs but there were some provided as stated. Pool floats and toys were nice. Communication before stay was always prompt. No need to communicate during stay. It was the perfect place and setup for us.

Better Than Advertised!!!

This house was wonderful! The location is one block from the beach, on an extremely quiet street. The grounds are well kept, with a beautiful pool as well. The property was stocked better than any other VRBO property we have stayed at over the years, with regards to paper goods, toiletries, cooking utensils and spices/condiments. Communication with the owner was first class, and she was always just a call or a text away. We will look to book in the future, and suggest all that look into this property to do the same.

Family beach vacation

This property and location were fantastic. Being able to bring our old dog was great! Didn't have to worry about boarding her, and we took her on morning and evening beach walks. Communication with hosts was great.

Perfect Stay in HHI

We had an absolutely fabulous time and the house was just perfect for us. We spent a ton of time at the pool and went walking in the neighborhood and beach multiple times a day. The neighborhood was quiet, beautiful and lovely -- I actually prefer it to staying at the big properties! The house was clean, wonderfully appointed and super comfortable with a truly affordable price being so close to the beach! Thank you for letting us stay at your wonderful home!

Property is exactly as described! Short walk to beach path/beach. Very few people on this section of beach. Quiet neighborhood. The house was the perfect size for 4 adults, 2 kids and 2 dogs! Already booked for next year!

Beach house

Location is wonderful!! Close to the beach/ ocean! Home shows definitely more wear than the pictures show. We had light bulbs out but Maggie had them replaced right away. Don't expect a gas grill. We stayed a month and enjoyed our time.

Great location

Great location, host was accommodating, however, we could only use the poolthe last 2 1/2 days out of a 5 week stay due to the neighbors leaves, twigs etc. same with the deck. My husband had to blow the deck everyday. The pool was cleaned twice a week and for 10 minutes after it was cleaned it was filled with debris again. Staying at any place for 5 weeks should be sprayed for pests more than once. My husband had to kill 3 cockroaches while we were there. We asked for a monetary compensation. Nothing.

Wonderful Vacation Retreat

We stayed at this lovely beach house for our family vacation. It was perfect! The beach is so close and not crowded. The dolphins put on quite a show for us one day about 5 feet away. The neighborhood is nice, quiet and easy to get to. The home is decorated beautifully and all our needs were met above and beyond our expectations. Very clean. The owners have done a lovely job decorating the home and we enjoyed all the artwork.The pool is very nice too. Shopping, restaurants, grocery stores and activities are easy to access. We are already checking our calendars as to when we might return. Thank you for making our vacation memories come true.

THE OWNERS' ARE WONDERFUL TO RENT FROM!

We have vacationed in Hilton Head for the past 13 years and this was one of our favorite places! The owners were extremely welcoming, very easy to work with (by far the nicest people we have rented from!), and the home was great. It was very clean and beautifully decorated. There is just a short / easy walk to the beach and the pool/patio were very nice. Also,there are many pool and beach items the owners have for you to use. A few small suggestions we would make is; to put a king size bed in the master bedroom, make sure the refrigerator is cleaned out well before the next guests, and have a few more everyday type dishes and bowls. Overall, it was a great beach house for a great price and we would definately reccommend it to others! Thanks for helping us make some great vacation memories!

Not impressed

While the house and location was good, only 2 blocks from the beach, the accommodations were less than expected. The master shower hot water wouldn't work, the beds were not of any quality, and the furniture was far less than comfortable. The house is pet friendly, but the back yard is not so much. The pool is not segregated from the yard to prevent accidents with children or kids.

A Great Vacation House!

We really enjoyed our one week stay at this lovely home. It was our first time visiting Hilton Head Island, we are Florida people, but I think this home might have changed our minds! We have rented many homes over the last six years and there are three important things we look for cleanliness, a great pool/outdoor space, and proximity to the beach. This home had all three. The home was clean and comfortable looking exactly like the photos. The outdoor space was great. We spent our days in the pool while our older dog loved laying in the screened in room on the cement floor with the fan blowing on her. The fenced in yard was also great for a family traveling with a pet. Lastly, it was less than an five minute walk to a wonderful beach. The owners were very easy to deal with, they confirmed deposits with emails and were always quick to respond to any question. We hope to return next summer and encourage anyone looking for a home on Hilton Head to give it a try.

Relaxing, Secluded and Well-Equipped House

This was such a perfect house for a much needed vacation away from it all. The house had the perfect layout and location (just a 3 minute walk to the beach), and it was both nicely decorated and well-equipped. The backyard pool area was so ideal for privacy - the landscaping made it feel like any neighbors were far away, and everything you would want in a pool area was available: pool floats, table with chairs for outside dinners, charcoal grill, lounge chairs, a screened in porch area. The house came with a beach cart, beach chairs, umbrellas and boogie boards, so we used the cart everyday for our morning beach visits, and we had everything we needed. There was a private beach access path that was literally around the corner form the house, and the beach area was not crowded and very family friendly (exactly what we we wanted). Because of the COVID-19 crisis, we stayed home each evening and cooked from home, played in the pool, enjoyed time as a family. This house was ideal and I know we will be back. Maggie, the owner, was very helpful with any questions that I had - thanks again.

Back again!

We love this house. This is the second time that we rented for a 2 week stay. I didn't even bother looking around this time, as why change a good thing?! It is very close to the beach, has a perfect pool for a family of 4 to play pool games or relax on rafts, is welcoming and inviting and includes everything you need. The yard is perfect for our dog, and he even uses the screened in porch while we swim. I can't imagine staying in a tiny condo after staying in this perfect sized home. The location is perfect, too. North and south the beach is crazy crowded. Not so here, due to no plantations or condos. We play Bocce, golf... take up a lot of space because there might only be 10 people on this stretch compared to hundreds by plantations. The bike path is at the end of the street and shopping is about 7 min away. Maggie and Peter are quickly responsive, accommodating, and caring. I love dealing with them and not a management company. Perfect house, perfect location, perfect owners! You can't go wrong here.

Our 4th time at this house

The title says it all. We have been to HH 4 times since 2012 and have stayed here all 4 times. This was the first time without a dog but I can attest to this being a wonderful home with or without a pet. There are several updated features since our last visit. I’ll admit, I was a little nervous after reading a few more recent reviews, but I honestly did not find any of their complaints to be valid. The beach chairs were in great shape and the kitchen cabinets are totally fine. I don’t expect the owner to supply my cooking ingredients and the cookware was perfect for our needs. Like most VRBO homes, you should bring/buy laundry and dish detergent and extra toilet paper because there is not daily or mid-week cleaning services. Someone commented on the poisonous snake sign on the beach path. We have never even seen a snake and a poisonous snake can only kill you if you eat it- so don’t. (They meant venomous.) The path is only a block away and is gorgeous. We felt safe going at night, too. The furniture is comfortable and enough for a family. My husband brought his pillow but used the one at the house! The bedding is very comfortable. We had an AC emergency and Maggie had someone out that day to fix it. She is very responsive. The location is about 7 miles from Coligny, but such an easy drive. I prefer being away from the crowds and the Folly Field private gate access area is deserted compared to looking up and down the beach. We can play bocce or paddle ball mid-day and not intrude on anyone. Perfect beach location. I can’t say enough positive things about this home. We weren’t going to HH because the house was booked and then a week opened. I jumped on it. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else.

Nice Place

Nice clean house close walk to the beach. Pool is nice to have after day at the beach. As others have mentioned it is a bit dated but the price reflects that it is not new. Nice place to send a quiet vacation. Washing machine comes in handy and the large kitchen and bar area is nice.
