The house was very clean, plenty of supplies including condiments, spices and coffee supplies. We would definitely stay here again. The only thing is it does not sleep 12 adults comfortably, definitely 6 adults and 6 Kids but only if you use the pullout sofas.
Enjoyed our stay immensely. Amenities are wonderful - hot tub, ping pong, archery and shooting range. Hope to stay again when it’s warm and the pool is open. Beds are comfortable and the linens are of quality. Great family time with our two kids.
Very kind host! Relaxing atmosphere with beautiful views. Home felt secluded, yet just a short drive to town. We were snowed/iced in for several days but happily utilized the cozy fireplace, game tables and plethora of movies and games. Look forward to returning in gentler weather so we may enjoy the outdoor amenities. Great layout for couples or families with kids.
This is a lovely house, with spectacular views, set in a large private lot with plenty of amenities, for kids and adults. It feels like a home and it's well stocked with linens, kitchenware, toiletries. The host was very welcoming and responsive. It's pet friendly, plus not far from Winchester and Gore. We really enjoyed our 2 week stay here, we'll be back.
This house was by far the best rental we’ve ever stayed at. It offers privacy with spectacular views and plenty of activities and games. Waking up every morning to that view was wonderful! We will definitely stay again next year!
If you're looking for a more secluded place that you don't have to leave then this is it. Beautiful home on the mountain and the host, Lanah, is an absolute gem. The views from the deck were one of a kind. I highly recommend and hope I can make it back there with my kids.
Great peaceful weekend with the family. We really enjoyed our stay! My only issue was all the stink bugs that kept coming in the house … but I guess that is part of the mountain life!

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay! Yes, like you said, we live in the country, sometimes we get stink bugs depending on the season. However, to battle this, we have a quarterly service that treats inside and outside the house which proves to be very effective. Occasionally, there will be a few that do get into the house due to open doors. Thank you for your feedback!
The house was very clean and well stocked. The indoor wood burning fireplace and fire pit outside were a hit. The hot tub was extremely nice and the view from it was beautiful. We would definitely recommend it and would definitely stay again.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this comfortable home. From table tennis to sauna, the home had it all. Coupled with gracious and responsive hosts. Recommended.
This cabin was everything and more! Some of the amenities we enjoyed the most were the outdoor shooting range, hot tub, watching movies complete with our very own popcorn machine, and ping pong/foosball. The owner was extremely responsive and the check-in/check-out process was so convenient! We definitely recommend this property to anyone who is looking for some time away to enjoy the great outdoors with friends and family!
The house and location was perfect for our family.
Archery, hiking and bonfire were so fun. Easter egg hunting with 20 + year olds on the property was a hoot.
Great memories made. Thank you for having us.
Amazing home with all the amenities and more! The host made everything so easy. Fast, accurate and thoughtful communication.
Wonderful mountain retreat You feel like you’re a million miles away but a short drive away are groceries and a few restaurants.
The pictures do not do it justice.
My kids and I stayed here for 2 nights and it was so amazing we immediately booked another stay for 2 months out! This house is EVERYTHING the listing states and MORE. There was so much to do both inside the house and outside the house. For me, sitting on the deck, enjoying the view with a cup of tea is the closest thing to Heaven on Earth I have ever experienced. My family (me and my 6 kids who range in age from 9-27) will be back as often as finances allow…the home, the host, and the ambiance exceeded our expectations by SO SO much.
My friends and I had a fabulous weekend at this property! The views and the grounds are idyllic. Everything was as advertised, the house was very well-stocked and furnished wonderfully. We had a delightful time exploring the media collection while gathered around the fireplace in the conversation pit, grilling out on the porch, and stargazing from the hot tub. The house very comfortably accommodated 11 adults and could have fit more with couples sharing beds. Lanah was a gracious and thoughtful host. Can’t recommend highly enough!
We had a great time here. It was exactly what we were looking for. We were able to get away from the city for a bit and relax and have fun. The space was clean and comfortable - perfect for our group of 5 adults, 4 kids (10 to 14 years old) and 2 small dogs. The best part about the space for us was the pool. The water was nice and warm and a good size for the 9 of us. And we loved the pool lining. It was gentle on our feet and made the pool experience that much better. The basement has great activities - including a foosball table and a ping pong table. It was a great space for the kids. The kitchen was well designed and we had all that we needed. The sleeping accommodations were great. We all slept well. We would definitely come back here and we highly recommend it!
Delightful hillside abode, with gorgeous views and all the possibilities for fun and relaxation. Came looking for a place to gather our offspring and families together while we were in VA for a wedding. We were out with wedding festivities much of the time and wished we had more time to just relax and enjoy the premises. Grandson enjoyed looking for polywogs in the pond and roasting marshmallows in the outdoor fire pit. A little out of the way but we really enjoyed the outdoor space and tranquility!
My family and I booked this place for our Thanksgiving dinner. It was very well stocked! The kitchen is beautiful, and there is plenty of space for everyone! The basement was well stocked for the kids and kept them occupied even on a rainy day. Beds were comfortable. Be warned about gathering in the living room at night, as the master bedroom is a loft and can hear everything happening in the living room. Overall a gorgeous place that has all the amenities one could ask for. We want to come back in the summer so we can use the pool!
A beautiful secluded house with amazing views of the mountains and sunsets. Plenty of amenities for both adults and kids between pool/hot tub, ping pong, darts, misc. games and outdoor activities. Kitchen was well stocked with essentials for cooking and they had a nice gas grill to utilize. Some shorter hiking trails were on the property (<1mile). Only few reservations with the property was it is a little bit of a drive (30mins + minimum) to most any activities and we stayed in the 2nd week of October and the stink bugs were very present. Other than that, we’d love to stay here again either same time of year or any other.
This is a very comfortable family home with stunning views. The Host has put a lot of thought into outfitting the kitchen and lower level family room, and the decor is very nice while still kid friendly.
There are hundreds of videos to chose from in the lower level family room, but no streaming or cable. That was a little difficult for my news junkie husband to accept, but he enjoyed watching movies with the grandkids!
The back deck is a very comfortable and relaxing amenity. If the weather had cooperated, we would have eaten every meal out there.
We are looking forward to returning next summer when the pool is open. Between the rain showers, we hiked the trail and explored the property.
Communication with the host was excellent. We had an issue with the hot tub, which led to a very nice phone conversion with the owner.
We are looking forward to staying here again!
House/ property was beautiful with lots of rooms and beds. The basement was a great social area with multiple games. Pool was very clean and owners are very pleasant and helpful.
Our extended family, ranging in age from 1 to 71, thoroughly enjoyed our stay here over the long Labor Day weekend. The kids couldn’t get enough of the pool! The DVD library gave us plenty of choices for movie night, there were craft supplies for the littles, and ping pong too! The kitchen was well supplied even for our big group. We definitely stretched the house to its limit but it was manageable. Consensus was “much better than the beach!” and “when can we go again?” so clearly this was a good choice.
