About this property
Starboard Cove Waterfront *Stunning Sunsets*!
Quintessential Maine home featured as cover story in Accent Magazine (See Cover Photo). Very private situated on the Piscataqua River with access to the Atlantic Ocean. Dock and mooring provide use of kayaks, canoe, and excellent swimming. Lie in the hammock and enjoy stunning sunsets every afternoon. Home is located about five miles from Portsmouth, NH. Boats can go directly to the ocean and use of a mooring at the house is included. The river is tidal and makes for very good swimming (the water is generally 10 to 15 degrees warmer than at the ocean) with safe, gentle current anytime between half and full high tide. This part of the river is wide and wooded with few houses for a very private feel in completely natural surroundings. There is a tremendous amount of wildlife viewing directly from the house including bald eagle, red tail hawk, cormorant, fox, deer, wild turkey, and seal. Excellent fishing for Striped Sea Bass and Bluefish, directly in front of the house.
Home features 1 bedroom with Queen bed, den with fold out futon and bath on the first floor and 2 bedrooms with King size beds and bath on the second floor including a Master suite with French doors to balcony overlooking the water, master bath includes large spa tub. Kitchen/dining/family room with stone fireplace and French doors to deck and screened porch. Living room with grand piano and built in bookcases.
Gourmet Kitchen offers 6 burner Viking cook top, n GE Convection Oven, stainless refrigerator and walk in pantry. Property surrounded by gardens and many opportunities for quiet walks. Nearby Portsmouth and Portland offer tons of cultural events, restaurants and shopping.

Why they chose this property
We honestly feel this is the most beautiful and best location to live in the US. The peace and serenity living on the water this close to major cities is hard to find. We travel alot so being an hour from Boston's International Airport is great. We have the benefit of being on the water, minutes from the Atlantic ocean and less than an hour to skiing or hiking in the mountains.
What makes this property unique
It is very important to both of us that we are in touch with nature every day. Living in this home does that for us. The many large windows that open to decks and balconeys bring the outdoors in. We also have a large screened porch where we literally live in the summer months. We take all of our meals there and sometimes sleep there. Wildlife is abundant in the area keeping every day exciting.
