We’re excited to offer Kin House, a secluded and convenient, spacious 2,600 sq ft getaway for groups of friends and families - all are welcome to enjoy our beautiful property. It's the perfect retreat to disconnect and recharge. Enjoy the fully stocked kitchen, coffee bar, serene yard and porch, hot tub, and thoughtful amenities, and the best outdoor attractions, towns, farms, & restaurants all mins away.

The space
The 2 acres of property is close to hiking and restaurants and less than 2 hours from NYC. A hot tub, BBQ, fire pit, large deck, outdoor dining set and picnic table, indoor wood-burning fireplace, are just some of the amenities that await you.

The best hiking and biking in Hudson Valley, Minnewaska, Mohonk, The Gunks, and Rail Trail Kerhonkson are minutes away.

Kin House is the perfect peaceful home base from which to easily visit the best Hudson Valley towns - New Paltz and Stone Ridge (15-20 mins) and Saugerties, Kingston, and Woodstock (45 mins). There are so many places to visit that are a gorgeous and short 5-20 min drive.

Kin House sits in the middle of a dead-end - so you'll enjoy peace and privacy, with a very limited number of cars passing by.

Looking to do lots of home cooking? Kin House provides all the basics (oil, salt & pepper, etc) and cooking tools (great knives, pots, and pans) you might need. Plus there are tons of local markets with fresh, local, and organic produce, meat, and dairy products.

Love a hot tub? Our outdoor hot tub fits 6 people and even has built-in cup holders. It's conveniently located steps from the back porch.

Have pets / dogs you want to bring? We provide: a crate, 3 ceramic bowls, a couch cover for each couch, pet specific towels, and a fence for the deck. We allow up to 4 pets. It is $50 per pet per night up to $200 per pet max (for example, if you have one pet and stay 5 nights it will only be $200).

Have kids or teens? We have games and fun activities for a range of kids (and adults!). We also provide a pack and play. Kin House is the perfect family retreat.

Into fitness? We have a dedicated ~200 sq ft gym room complete with gym flooring, yoga and workout mats, free weights from 3-30 lbs, and more.

Gone green? We have a NEMA 1450 electric vehicle charger, a super-fast EV charger serving up 35 miles an hour, and have made other thoughtful choices to make Kin House a sustainable short-term rental.

Worried you might forget things? Less than 10 minutes away is a Stewart’s grocery store and a Wal-Mart Super Center open daily 6am-11pm. Enjoy being surrounded by nature, along with everything you might need just a short distance away.

Looking for a work-cation? Our house has desks in 3 of the bedrooms plus a dedicated "zoom room" and fast wifi. Send emails from the porch while you BBQ lunch or take conference calls from the balcony while you drink your morning coffee.

Going skiing? Kin House is nearby both Holiday Mountain (~30 mins) and Hunter Mountain (~50) and is the perfect post-ski day retreat for groups.

In the green room there is a chair that unfolds into a small bed that’s good for a kid / teen.

We provide full sheets that can be used for the futon, green room chair, or they can be used to sleep on the couch in the den, which is quite large.

Guest access
During your stay, the entire home and property are all yours. There is parking for up to 6 cars. Relax and enjoy!
Other things to note
+ Kids are welcome, but the house is not childproofed. There are easy to use gates blocking each staircase. If you have any questions, shoot us a message
+ There are no TVs in the bedrooms (but there is a large TV in the living room and the den). This is a purposeful choice.
+ Guests are responsible for taking out trash to our trash receptacle.
+ Kin House is in the woods, and there are bugs outside, and occasionally inside.
+ The summer gets buggy - bring bug spray (we don’t provide)
+ We provide starter items including toilet paper, soap, trash bags, detergent, and cleaning supplies, but guests are responsible for purchasing additional if needed.
+ Any firewood, food or drinks in our photos are just for show - they are not provided with your stay.
