We had a great long weekend! Very comfortable and welcoming. The host was welcoming, helpful and available. The location worked out well for us, 20 minutes to Gore Mountain for skiing and 20 minutes to Lake George for other fun. We would like to return the next time we plan a trip to ski at Gore!
The house has everything you could possible need. It’s clean, well decorated and beds and furniture are comfortable. Comfy, cozy and great location too!! Created great memories!!!
This is a beautiful, cozy gem in the Adirondacks! The property was just as good as it was described and showed in pictures. It was extremely clean and decorated so nicely. If I could give this more stars, I would. Kate was amazing to deal with and very prompt in responding. Our family HIGHLY recommends this sweet place!
Beautiful home and decorated for the season. House was spot less and notes letting you know if there were issues what to do and who to call. We have stayed in many vacation rentals and by far this was the best. You felt like you were home and only a few miles from shops and adventures.
What a wonderful townhouse! Everything was perfect! Loved how fully stocked this house was even with fans to put in the bedrooms, and board games to play! Definitely will be back with my family! The house is also furnished nicely and decorated beautifully! Kathleen did an amazing job! She was also so easy to talk to and get a hold of and so accommodating !

Host was very helpful, great location to Gore Mountain
Amazing place, homey, spotlessly clean. Quiet getaway. Lovely property owner who makes sure her guests are comfortable. Easy access to all the fun activities nearby, without the crowd. A true hidden gem. So happy we found this place!
Just a wonderful experience from start to finish! The owner was very responsive to all questions! The place was very homey and easy to get to! I can’t say enough about the place. And the owner gave us lots of ideas of what to do while there. Thanks for such an incredible vacation!
Kathleen's place is an amazing place for a family getaway. She is extremely responsive and the place is well kept and clean! We will definitely return!

I’m so glad you and the kids were able to enjoy the fireplace with the holiday lights! The winter is my favorite time with the lights, fireplace and plenty of laughs, to me it’s always magical. I’m so glad you enjoyed your time. Hope to see you soon and thank you for taking the time to leave a review.
Ms. Kathleen had it decorated for the holidays so prettily. Which is exactly what we wanted over a hotel. It had everything we wanted to stay and have winter fun!
This house is so cozy and comfortable. The host was very easy to work with and the hospitality was 110%. This area is great for short pretty hikes and near Lake George. We enjoyed our short stay and would you love to return in the summer or fall.
We had a great time. The house was perfect for us. It had everything we needed. I loved all the holiday lights Kathleen had. It gave the house a warm cozy feeling. It was convenient to Gore which was our main reason for being there. We can’t wait to go back.
Beautiful, clean, and comfortable mountain escape. Short hike to beach. Close to Forest Lake Camp wedding venue for those looking for more of the comforts of home than a cabin.
The condo was perfect! One of the best and well-stocked condos I've ever seen. We needed some downtime from a hectic summer travel schedule and found it. Loved the fireplace and the cozy atmosphere nestled in the woods. Cellular was sketchy, but the wi-Fi signal was great and we had no problems at all.using our mobile phones.
Our stay at this rental was so delightful! We've already planned our next visit. Host is wonderful, very nice and helpful. The condo has everything you need in addition to many charming custom touches. The location is close to all the action available in the area, yet so beautiful that you'll want to stay put and enjoy the property too.
Kathleen's home was the best place we have ever stayed in on our vacations in the Saratoga/Lake George area. Comfortable, beautifully decorated, and immaculately clean. She is the ultimate host, including going out of her way to suggest fun activities for us to do. What a wonderful person! We would love to stay there again as she made everything a total pleasure!

About the host
Hosted by Kathleen
I grew up in the area and graduated from the local high school in Chestertown, NY. I know the area well but never seemed to take advantage of the things in my own "backyard" but isn't that how it usually is? I currently live in NYC and enjoy every moment I come to my home away from home as I still have family in the area.
Why they chose this property
My grandparents, with the help of the extended family, built their home from the foundation up located not too far from here in the Adirondacks with the interior being wood. The first-time walking into my place reminded me of their beautiful home and instantly gave me the feeling of being home once again. It also helps to remind me that you should never forget where you come from and to always be grateful for the blessings you have in your life. It helps me to remember all the fun times our family had growing up doing the simplest things together as a family. In the time that I purchased to now, my family has all helped to make it the home you see today as they each had a hand in it. Tremendous thought went into every detail, not matter how great or small, to make it feel like home for not just my family but yours as well. Examples are the outlets/light covers in the bear or moose room, pictures that I took of the local areas, or the painting that my mom did that is hanging in the living room in hopes that others are able to experience the feeling of "home". The vision I had when I purchased the property was to create a place that family and friends can come and enjoy the place as much as I do each and every time I come here. My wish is that others are able to come and make memories like I had growing up. In a world of technology and craziness, this is a place to come and reconnect, to build stronger relationships with your loved ones or simply "just be" and enjoy living in the moment. Life is so short and often times we take our time together for granted....
What makes this property unique
With the property located at the top of a small hill, there is only one other building next to the unit. With it being the end unit, I am next to a stream that runs next to the property and after a heavy rain or snow melt, there is nothing like hearing the peaceful sound of the water running towards the lake while sitting on the porch or listening through an open window. Through out the day you can hear the birds at the lake or at night the sound of the frogs down at the lake. The lake is so close so often times I can be found there, enjoying the water or simply just sitting by the lake enjoying the beauty that surrounds. If you like running like I do, there is a loop I do that passes the golf course and there is nothing like an early morning run when others are still sleeping. By far my favorite time here is during the winter. The wall where the fireplace has windows from floor to ceiling (including the White Birch room) and to sit by the windows or lay in bed and watch the magic of the freshly falling snow.....feeling as if you are in a snow globe. Add in the holiday lights... just feels magical to me. Once you stay here, I think you will be able to see and feel what it is that I do. That is what I have envisioned for this property.
