My 2 gf's & I enjoyed a week's stay at Victor & Elisabeth’s elegant, grand apt. Ideally situated on BD Saint-Michel, next to the Luxembourg Gardens, the apt was within walking distance to many of our favorite shopping and restaurant spots. Strolling through the beautiful Luxembourg Gardens on our way to our destinations was an extra bonus! The building was quiet, secure & the lobby had a beautiful spiral staircase w/ an ornate brass caged elevator. The apartment was extremely spacious with abundant light, original parquet floors, and wonderfully lofty ceilings — plenty of room for 3 women (plus a husband who joined us for a few nights) to spread out, relax, admire the classic sophisticated Haussmann architectural details and imagine we were living the quintessential life of a Parisian aristocrat!The 1st & 2nd bedrooms faced the street (not too noisy by city standards), were very roomy & shared a stunning Art Deco bathroom. The 3rd bedroom faced into the inner courtyard, was smaller yet comfortable, not cramped. It had a private bathroom w/ a mosaic tiled shower. We loved having the large laundry rm at our disposal. It is worth noting, however, that the apartment has one toilet room, located near the bedrooms in the hallway, quite typical for Parisian apts. Victor was a terrific owner/host — proactive, responsive, and accommodating, checked in on us regularly. We appreciated the helpful tips plus a neighborhood guide he provided.
