About the host
Hosted by Cleve Brown

My wife and I live in Gainesville, GA (a little over an hour's drive). We were approaching retirement when we bought this cabin. We are both retired (elementary teacher and pharmacist), and LOVE spending time at our second home. We know you will love it, too!!
Why they chose this property
We chose the Suches area to purchase our cabin because it is close enough to our home so that we can use the property, but it is remote enough to 'get away from it all'. This area also has all of the things that we enjoy such as hiking, kayaking, and trout fishing to name a few. We are also close enough (30 minutes) to golf, live theater, stores, movies, etc.
What makes this property unique
We love spending time in the mountains! Our property has 400 feet on the Toccoa River that our guests can use to catch trophy sized trout( catch and release) or just sit on the deck and watch the water flow by and relax. Excellent tubing and kayaking is right at the back door. Great hiking to numerous waterfalls, The Benton Makaye Trail and The Appalachian Trail are close by. We also enjoy viewing the wildlife! Deer and turkeys can sometimes be seen strolling the field in front of the house. Of course viewing the different colors of the mountain views is spectacular! Our cabin is large enough to accommodate our growing family, but priced so that it would make a great romantic get-away for a couple. We know you will love this area as much as we do.
