This is a Upstairs unit overlooking the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. Two bedrooms, 1.5 baths with an extra large front porch and a great safe beach for the kids. Quite, serene, waterfront home. No tourists--no hotels--no fast foods--just the real deal like old Florida used to be.
We have kayaks, beach chairs and a large deck to sit and sun on that we share with the neighbors. Alligator Point, Carrabelle, Dog Island, St. George Island, and Apalachicola are all within an hour's drive of the house.
The Ochlocknee River State Park, FSU Marine Lab, Wakulla Springs State Park and the St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge are all close by with a top notch golf course, St. James Bay only 10 minutes from the house.

We loved our stay here! It was wonderful to be right on the beach! If you want to relax with no distractions this is it! Our communication with Fincher could not have been better, he was so great! If possible we would definitely stay hereagain.
This vacation was an absolute dream. this sleepy little beach side cottage had everything we needed: a short walk to the beach, an expansive grassy lot for our kids and dog to play on, a huge screened in porch overlooking the gulf to enjoy our morning cup of coffee, and plenty of room inside for our family of 4 plus a large bar top and dining room space to host little gatherings with our extended family. We absolutely loved this place!

Thank You Tara, I'm so glad you got to experience my wonderful slice of heaven, please come again. By the way you and your husband have a beautiful family. So glad the kids got to enjoy it too. It truly is a special place.
We had a wonderful 5 days at Fincher’s place in St. Teresa! The space was comfortable and everything you could need was at hand, the view unbelievable, and Fincher was available and warm.

Thanks Marcy, I enjoyed meeting you and Bill and please come back anytime- thanks.
We found paradise here in Saint Teresa Beach. Serene and secluded, this beautiful property was the ideal getaway for our family of six and our pup. A slice of old Florida where dogs can still frolic on the beach and bonfires can still blaze at night. The house was perfect, especially the large screened-in porch. Such a gorgeous view to take in all day long. Kayaks and paddle boards along with sand toys and chairs were available for use. We made magical memories and hope to be back!

Your family picture looked great and I'm so glad to of share my special place with you and your family. I've grown up down at St. Teresa Beach during the summer months since 1957 starting at one year of age, of course it is a newer house now, thanks for the kind words and PLEASE come again.
We were at Fincher’s place for four nights and could not have enjoyed our stay any more than we did! The porch is beautiful and I could sit out there all day! The kayaks and paddle boards were used and enjoyed! I kayaked with the dolphins- an amazing experience. Great for kids, our daughter played in the water and on the beach all day everyday! The kitchen was stocked with everything a cook could need! We will be back!

Slice of Heaven!
Our first Home Away experience and what a surprise! I was a little skeptical at first due to this being our first experience and reading the one negative review. But all skepticism was gone in the first 10 mins. as Fincher was a great host and truly sums up what southern hospitality means! The place was perfect for us and our 3 daughters who spent hours collecting "treasures" on the beach or swimming in the beautiful water . The house was definitely stocked with anything we needed and provides amazing views which make you not want to leave. But the area has plenty to do if you find the strength to leave this relaxing oasis. I cannot say enough about this experience, this host, or this community; we loved every second of our stay and will definitely come back.

David/Nicole--it was a pleasure meeting y'all and for the kind words and hope u can make that long drive back down from Wisconsin again-we will be here--again thanks.
We rented the downstairs unit for our family of five. Plenty of room, clean, and comfortable. The setup was so easy for playing on the beach and boating while having access to everything in the house! Peaceful screened porch, kayaks, and a place to moor the boat - perfect for us! The kids had so much fun and we plan to rent again. On a practical level, the kitchen was well appointed and the washer and dryer made it easy to wash our swim stuff and towels daily. Fincher was available and accommodating! Highly recommend!!!
Had a lovely stay here - peaceful and intimate surroundings - had a grill and kayaks - it was a fun family getaway

A great place to stay. Fincher was very helpful and flexible with our travel needs.
The view from the upstairs porch and windows was beautiful... two herons seemed to have a morning ritual of hanging out on the beach right in front of this house. We enjoyed a few sunrise views. The unit is comfortable and nicely decorated. St Teresa is a peaceful beautiful setting.

Another week at a quiet relaxing beach!
Have rented the upstairs and downstairs units over the past 2 years. Both units are spacious, comfortable, clean, well stocked and best of all quiet! Most of the time was spent on the flat beaches during the day and on the screened in porch for the evening! Morning and evening dolphin shows are enjoyable! If you want a nice quiet, non-commercialized vacation spot then this is it!
Looking forward to coming again sometime!

Relaxing Getaway on Quiet Beach
I took my five year old twin grandsons here in mid-June and we loved it. Great location between Ochlockonee Bay and Carrabelle with clear shallow water for the little ones to play and miles of beach for our low tide "treasure walks". We enjoyed eating all our meals on the screened porch and being so close to the water was great with little ones. The home was spacious, clean and comfortable and we have a week long stay scheduled next month to enjoy fall fishing and more beach time with all the little ones.

Enjoyable time at St Theresa Beach!
We really enjoyed our stay at this Hidden Gem ! The accommodations were very clean and comfortable, with a huge front porch that was perfect for early morning coffee and watching the sunrise. The beach is only a few steps from the house and our two hairy children (okay, they are actually dogs but don't tell them!) had the time of their lives playing in the waves and on the shoreline. It was so refreshing!! We will be returning as soon as our schedules will allow!

Could Have been better
My wife and I stayed in the downstairs unit for 1 week. We asked about arriving early and was told by the owner that we could absolutely come as early as noon and that the unit would be ready. We showed up around 1 and the housekeeper was shocked! The housekeeper told us that the owner had told the people staying in the unit that they could stay as long as they needed...needless to say we had to wait about 2 hours. Not a huge deal but strike 1. We finally get in and the owners daughter is staying upstairs...the pounding on the ceiling was quite loud but not too bad because we were spending most of the time outside. It is not quiet at all on the weekends as you are very close to neighbors and the other 2 units that are in this house alone. Then as we were laying down at the beach the owners daughter asks to come into our unit to get her water skis. Strike 2! Come to find out the front and back porch are SHARE porches with the upstairs unit and the unit right next door. There were loud phone conversations on the back porch right outside our window! You actually had to pull a wooden divider across the front porch to separate yourself from the unit next door. The unit itself was VERY dated and a bit dirty. There was mold in the bathrooms and on the blinds...the owner lives there and all his clothes were in the drawers and closets so we couldn't use those...the fridge was like walking into someones house with all of their condiments, half used milk, etc...the freezer was a mess with coffee grinds everywhere. The water was actaully brown the whole time we were there...we even had brown ice that the fridge made...obviously we had lots of bottled water and bags of ice! The beach was actually very close and that was nice, but the beach is not your "Destin" type beach...LOTS of sea grass washed up shore and not alot of room to put your chairs when the tide is up. This all being said...strike 3. We would NOT recommend this rental.

Relaxing family vacation
We were looking for a quiet place to spend some family time on the beach. We found this home and decided to give it a try after reading others' reviews and doing a little research on the area. St. Teresa is a tiny place and definitely "off the map" as far as the normal hustle and bustle goes. Once we arrived we made a trip to the grocery store (a must) and, other than a short break to Apalachicola, didn't leave during our vacation. We found everything to be as was advertised and just as others have stated in their reviews. The owner has thought of everything and goes out of his way to make sure your stay is enjoyable. High on our list . . . we really enjoyed the beach at low tide. Be sure to read tidal charts and explore the shallow waters for crabs and other creatures, but be on the lookout for stingrays and jellyfish. We saw a few but avoided them with a little care. We were fortunate enough to see Manatees (very rare) and dolphins during our stay. Our thanks goes out to the owner for sharing his home. We can't wait to go back!

More than just a vacation
My wife and I had the opportunity to stay at this house earlier this year and it was beyond perfect. The pictures do not do the view from the porch justice. We had an amazing time and it was just what we needed. If you have a boat this is the place to stay. There are several close boat ramps in the area, and anchoring in front of the house is a breeze with no need to take the boat out every night. The inshore fishing here is some of the best the panhandle has offer, and is only a 5 minute boat ride from the house in either direction. If you happen to see another person on the beach during your stay you will be greeted with a smile and a friendly face. Can’t say enough about the owner extremely helpful and treats you like family. We will surely be back very soon!

Absolutely Perfect, but dont tell TOO many people.....
I really wish I could rate this place/our stay 1 star, only with the hopes that it would deter people from staying here so that we could have it to ourselves in the future. However the owner is way too nice and our stay was absolutely perfect. My wife and I are already looking at our summer calendar and trying to find a way to make it back down here. I will be trying to stay here from now on, everything was perfect and the owner couldnt have been better. Best vacation we have had in a while!!

A Dream Come True
My husband and I needed a relaxing vacation from the little ones...and boy did we find that here! It was one of the BEST vacations we've ever had. We only saw 6 people the whole time we were there. I layed out on the deck on the beach most days while my husband rested on the screened-in porch. The owner was great and very helpful...we felt like we had been old friends! We will definitely be staying here again (and again and again and again....)

Unbelievable piece of heaven! We didn't know a place like this still existed. You have a long stretch of beach with beautiful sand bars here and there at low tide. Dolphins swim near the shore and we saw boaters jump out of their boats to swim with them. Private homes up and down the beach are lined with trees and grass!!!!!! The spacious porch is a dream! Lots of space and views that are magic. Haven't even gotten to the house itself. The place is classy and clean. I loved everything about it. The owner is more than kind. This was our second time there and won't be our last. Go while we still have this sanctuary. We are fortunate the owner is willing to share this.

Relaxed and Refreshed
I had to force myself to not be selfish and go ahead and reveal this treasure to others. I had wanted to keep it a secret... Nowhere can you find a calm, peaceful, private beach with beautiful trees and vegetation in a neighborhood of residents whose families have lived there for generations. It is a treasure of beauty and serenity, nothing like the stark, crowded, noisy beaches elsewhere in the panhandle. The beach is clean and white-sanded, and the water is shallow so that walking, wading, and skimboarding are possible and children are safe. Deeper water is also accessible for any ocean activity. Families and beloved, friendly dogs trickle by, and the tides bring an ever-changing landscape. The house is nestled in the cool trees but steps from the Tiki Hut and sand. It is decorated beautifully, with everything you need, and is very comfortable. Perfect for me is the gigantic sleeping porch that stretches across the back and due to its being on the second level, gives you an expansive view, including dolphins every day. I have never napped better! The owner is someone you would like to have as a life-long friend, very kind and gregarious. All will love this place; just don't book it when I have the fortune to go there! :)

Should be called the "unforgetable" coast
Cannot say enough good things about the owner and the accommodations! We had one of the most memorable vacations we've ever had. The house is unique and comfortable, clean and the view from the porch is breath-taking during the morning sunrise. With the trees next to the shore one would think they had traveled back in time to a place that has not been ravaged for commercial prosperity. Just a short drive and we were on St. George Island, Appalach. and Alligator Point. A trip to "Dog Island" yielded some of the biggest shells I've ever seen in their natural habitat.
Looking forward to going back, hopefully soon.
