If you are interested in requesting, please tell me a little bit about you, any guests with you, and the general nature of your trip. This my home so i like to know who is staying in my house :)
This is an old post and beam stone house built in the early part of the last century, that oddly also happened to be the home of the testing kitchen of the Celestial Seasonings tea company at one point. After tearing down the walls, I have tried my best to make the main floor social centric, so the primary living space encompasses the kitchen, dining room, living area, and full bath. The antique floors are refinished Hemlock and are super soft for barefoot comfort. The 100 year old cast iron radiators, provide quiet, steady, warm heat that is powered by a state of the art micro boiler. There is also a brand new AC system to keep you cool during the middle of summer. Everything in the kitchen is brand new and includes a 50,000 BTU gas stove and convection oven, espresso maker, blender, microwave, fridge, and ice maker. If you are a caffeinated type of person but don't like espresso, there is a french press, drip machine, and pour over apparatus as well. The farmhouse dining room table is perfect for family style dinners or for just sitting around and having some wine. If the weather is nice, you can take full advantage of the two patios, one just off the kitchen with a 3 burner grill for those who have skills on the BBQ, and the other is a small creekside setup for a drink, or a snack for 2, while you listen to the babbling brook which tends to run April - November. There is a Sonos music system in the main part of the house, so if you have the app you can play music from your phone.
Upstairs, there are two bedrooms, both with mini split AC units, and another full bathroom (with tub). The upper level has got skylights galore, the bedrooms are clean, bright, and have plenty of closet and dresser space for guests. There is a 3rd queen sized bed that folds out of the wall in the main room of the house so the place can comfortably sleep 5 people.
So that gives you a good idea of the living space, and now a couple of other items that will ensure you have a good stay and know what you are getting. Please understand that this is my home when i'm in Boulder, and i have poured my heart and soul into making it what it is ( i can send you a ton of photos that i took while doing the work if you are interested). i absolutely LOVE sharing it with people from around the world, but i do ask that you treat it as your own, and use it gently.
IMPORTANT ITEMS:
Please know that you are saying in HISTORIC DOWNTOWN BOULDER, and NOT the suburbs, so the houses are close together, of course the trade off is you can walk everywhere.
Please know that I have my artist studio on the property which if I'm in town during your stay I will be sleeping there. The spaces are attached but separate with separate entrances and you may see me watering plants in the morning outside if I'm around.
That about does it, please email me with any questions you might have, and again since this is my home i like to know who is staying in my house. Please tell me a bit about you, any guests with you, and the general nature of your trip. Thank you for reading the entire listing!
