Complex has one of the best locations in Kona. You are within walking distance of the pier, the beach in front of King Kam Hotel, Safeway, the post office, the Club, restaurants, bars, farmers market, just about anything you want to do in town you can easily walk to.
Free parking stall included, you can walk to most restaurants and shops on Alii drive without having to pay the parking fees. Parking is on the ground floor, one flight of stairs to the condo. Or if you walk around the other side of the building, no stairs to the unit.

This was the most clean and updated Vrbo we stayed at on our trip (out of 3). It had all the things we needed to be comfortable, our favorites were the window AC units and in-unit laundry. It was walking distance to multiple stores and restaurants, as well as a sort of downtown area next to the beach. The best way I can describe the Vrbo is very comfortable and homey- it felt like we were living there for the few days we stayed and it was great! Would absolutely stay there again.
Great communication with the host. Great place to stay, the condo was perfect!! Walking distance to the beach, shops and dining. Would highly recommend and definitely would stay there again!!
Convenient location in Kona. The suite had everything we needed and host left lots of useful local information. Would stay again and would recommend to others.
Fantastic stay close to down town Kailua Kona. Clean and the bed was fairly comfortable. There’s an AC unit in the bedroom and the living room. Only downside was the pool/hot-tub area were not available due to their construction resurfacing. Overall, excellent experience!
My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights and loved it. The condo had everything we needed and we couldn't have asked for a better location! It was a short walk down to restaurants & coffee shops right by the ocean and also over to Kona Brewing. There are awesome beaches within a 30 minute drive, and the condo had beach chairs, an umbrella, a small cooler, and even more amenities for us to borrow. Check in/out was a breeze and Erika was a great host and responsive to our questions. A great experience all around.
Two adults 50 and Corgi. Perfect in-between stay that accepts pets...while we looked for longer term rental and new home purchase. Clean and well maintained unit. Mix of tenants in complex.....Owners, longer term rental and nighty guests. Community BBQ, pool and grounds are well maintained. No dishwasher in our unit. But had in unit washer/ dryer a plus. Easy Walking distance to downtown Kona for a dinner out and souvenirs. Host was super helpful and responsive.
Location is an short drive to Kona Brewery, Target, Walmart, and Ola Brewery. Short walk to Ali'i Drive (beach side shops and restaurants) and Marriott King Kamehamehia.
Inside is clean, updated, and "professional."
Host was very responsive and had great recommendations for massage place, nail place, and other recommendations.

My husband and I moved to the islands seeking the surf and the hawaiian lifestyle. We met and married here and now have two young children. Kona is a great place to be, nice people, sun, sand and surf, it can't be beat!
Why they chose this property
Kailua Bay Resort is in the ideal location. It's quiet, yet at the same time it is centrally located so you don't need a car, all the activities are just steps away. If you want to go out and have cocktails, you don't have to worry about driving, just walk home. The pier and the beach are a short walk, as well as the grocery store and even the post office is right there. The condo is nice and comfortable, and a great place to have for a home base.
