We really enjoyed our stay here in Kona! Everything was exactly as listed. You're a very close walk to the central part of Kailua-Kona. The unit had tons of space, and it was so lovely to sit out on the lanai in the mornings with a beautiful view of the ocean. The only downside was that there were a ton of fire ants getting in, but Jeff did bring over traps immediately as soon as we said something.
Clean rooms and awesome view. Quite a few ants but it was to be expected with temps. Ac’s are definitely needed to stay on as the place is pretty hot when not on. The view was amazing and the location was absolutely perfect
Host communication was excellent. We enjoyed the location -very close to shopping area and activities in Kona. The view from the balcony is great and we enjoyed doing some work out there in the mornings. Would definitely recommend.
Our family enjoyed our stay here tremendously, with great Kailua Bay views, easy access to Alii'i drive and grocery stores. Kids loved the loft bedroom suite, and the kitchen was nicely appointed for cooking in after a long day at the beach!
This condo was an excellent choice for a Hawaiian vacation. It was convenient with easy access to shopping, groceries, and various beaches. Only a 15 minute drive from the airport is also a plus. Host was very nice and responsive. We really appreciated the later checkout as well. One of my good friends from Alaska and her daughter, who was in a four day swim meet at the nearby Kona aquatic community center, and my daughter all shared the condo for five nights. The location provided quick access to the swim meet. We loved the kitchen a lot and made almost all of our meals at the condo. The only downside was that it did not have a dishwasher, but we had two teenage daughters as extra dishwashers. Lol! This was a definite place to come back to and rebook in the future when my friend‘s daughter has another swim meet next year. Thank you, Jeff!- Robyn

Awesome place with many amenities! Need to fix gate lock and balcony lock, but overall was fantastic
Great location a few minute walk from Kailua town strip. Kinda noisy traffic. Nice pool and hot tub.
Great place - great location close to shops and pier. Seeiously a 3 minute walk... Nice pool and hot tub. Cons - Just above noisy highway and homeless in area made kids a little nervous walking past to get to Alii Drive.
We loved our 6 night stay in this apt at Kailua Bay Resort. Visiting Kailua-Kona for the Ironman World Championship, this apt was in the perfect location, in easy walking distance to everything we needed to do, and not too far from shopping if you don't have a car.
There was plenty of room for 4 adults, with a very spacious living area, and huge loft bedroom.
Immaculately clean, and with all the amenities we wanted, we would definitely stay again.
Note this apt is on the top floor so be prepared if you have heavy luggage and are not used to stairs.
Thanks!
It was perfect. The accommodation was exactly what I had hoped it would be - perfectly centered in the most beautiful area of the Big Island with a superb deck view. The place was a bit large for my purposes but nothing wrong with that. Kelly was also the best host ever, checking to see that I was ok and happy. She is a genuinely nice person.
I will be back.

Dirty
The condo was dirty! Dead bugs all over the bathroom vanity. Baseboards looked as though they had never been scrubbed. Kitchen has no dishwasher so dishes were not cleaned the best. Windows looked as though they never had been cleaned. Air conditioning barely kept the place cool. Downstairs neighbors had a couple dogs that barked all the time. Front door was hard to shut and only had a key code lock. Code for the door was the year, how safe is that!? The loft was hot since there was no air upstairs, however the bed was comfortable. Definitely not worth the money.
This is a great unit on the edge of the tourist stretch of Kona. Easy to get to lots of shops and restaurants via a long walk or short drive. The two separated sleeping spaces and bathrooms worked well for our two-couple group. Just don’t expect the loft to have AC - there’s a unit on the main level but it didn’t seem like it could get upstairs. We were able to use fans and windows and were perfectly comfortable in April. The kitchen was well appointed, plenty of beach gear available including an umbrella and boogie boards, and sunsets from the balcony are unmatched!
We enjoyed our stay and the condo. The cleaning could have been a little better as in under the bed in the first bed room. I noticed this due to an object of mine rolled under the bed when I dropped it. It wasn’t terrible but could have been cleaner.
Condo has a great location and view. The unit is showing signs of wear- stained and chipped cups, scratched pans, etc. Our main issue was the water pressure being super high. The shower head in the downstairs bath is mounted at such a high angle that it sprays onto the back ledge of the tub and floods easily. Aside from that, we enjoyed our stay.

Our experience& so grateful!
The housekeeper was right on about coming over. A few things weren't working & she made sure we were compensated by a later check out. Owner was very helpful & punctual with responses.
This area has so many homeless & fireworks first few nights, but otherwise IT IS AMAZING. Unfortunately the stairs were difficult for hubby facing knee replacement in week but we knew that before we came. Thanks for everything!!
Overall, a good place to stay. There is a pest issue with the first bedroom upon entering and the kitchen. There's ants. I'm sure it's known due to there being bug spray available. The contact person I was unable to reach for the few questions I had. I tried texting and calling her with no return response.
Nice and private. Had everything we needed for a week long stay. Only downside is it gets really hot in the upstairs loft where the king bed is, even with 2 fans. Otherwise a great place to stay in Kona town.
