About the host
Hosted by Natalie Zensius

Hi there, it’s very nice to meet you! We’re Jon and Natalie Zensius.
We met fresh out of film/art school working on a children’s TV show. We got married, raised kids, and spent our free time remodeling fixer-uppers and being in nature until we decided to buy mountain property nine years ago. (We landed on Yosemite because we LOVE this area, and wanted to be within several hours of the SF bay.)
We didn’t plan on being vacation rental owners at first. We just wanted a weekend place to share with friends and family that reflected our love for comfortable gatherings, so we designed each space accordingly. When we weren’t building things, we were hiking in Yosemite and the surrounding foothills and mountains. Our friends loved escaping office life and being outside, even when we put tools in their hands. They kept asking to come back–and if they could bring their friends too! This helped us realize a passion that eventually became our mission: providing awesome spaces in nature for people to make special memories with their loved ones.
Almost nine years and one pandemic later, we now live full-time in Mariposa, just outside of town, and are focusing more and more of our time and passion into serving our guests. We consider it a privilege to host you!

Why they chose this property
The whole property is yours to roam as you wish. Use our place as a convenient base camp for exploring Yosemite National Park and Mariposa County, or simply settle in and retreat here. We've carefully designed everything so you have what you need to enjoy the best time hanging out with family or friends, getting your work done, or just relaxing.
What makes this property unique
One of the highlights of our property is our river, which is accessed by a well-marked trail that's perfect for taking a morning or evening stroll on. If you venture there and go a bit further downstream, you can find lots of swimming holes and waterfalls to splash and swim in. (Please note: the Chowchilla river is a perennial river, so depending on the rain and snow each year, it typically runs from October to July or August.)
