The managing owner of the Yosemite Lilac House and Yosemite Country Cottage has lived and worked in the Yosemite area for over 40 years. As a professional Driver/Guide in Yosemite, he will be happy to provide you with a special "Place's to Go" self trip planning guide to get the most out of your visit upon booking a reservation. The owner will contact you by phone upon booking to answer any questions and explain a few things. These properties have always been non-smoking and non-vaping inside or outside and no animals have ever been allowed. Rates are based on 2 people, and there is an additional charge for each person per day or night. Occupancy at any time can not exceed the number of people stated at time of reservation. The Yosemite Lilac House is charming, new, and completed in 2024. Custom built as a vacation home, designed with the traveler in mind. Be some of the first people to stay in this beautiful new home! It is conveniently located in Midpines near Yosemite National Park in a private, quiet and secure location away from Highway 140. About 9 miles east of Mariposa and 18 miles to the Park boundary. Outside security cameras operational on the property 24/7.
Beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean, the Lilac House has large comfortable bedrooms with vaulted ceiling that sleep up to 5. Both with country quilts, wood floors, ceiling fans, and adjacent tiled/granite bathrooms. The large master bedroom has a Cal-King bed, vaulted ceiling, large lighted walk-in closet, and footboard bench. The big master ensuite bathroom has vaulted ceilings, extra large beautifully tiled floor/walk-in shower with glass doors, and large granite topped double sink vanity. The big Queen bedroom has vaulted ceilings, a large nearly walk-in closet and a footboard bench. Bathroom #2 has a vaulted ceiling, large beautifully tiled floor/walk-in shower with glass doors and granite counters. Both bathrooms have solar tubes for added lighting. Additionally, the living room has a twin day bed for an additional person. Baby items (crib, baby bath, highchair, etc...) are available on request.
The highlight of the Lilac House is the Great Room with vaulted ceilings and ceiling fans for cozy evenings. The living room furnishings include wood floors, comfortable couches, end tables, and a 65" smart TV for streaming movies or Internet TV. The fully furnished dining area next to the living room affords easy access to the kitchen. The large full amenity kitchen is fully equipped for the gourmet cook and includes all the conveniences for the vacationing cook. Additionally, the large beautiful granite topped Island/Bar with sitting stools for gathering while meals are being prepared. USB plugs for charging located on Island/Bar and kitchen counter. We will send information on the grocery store~ Pioneer Market~ in Mariposa, and restaurants, etc.....
Outside amenities include a propane gas barbecue. There is also a 10'X14' Gazebo with a picnic table for outside meals and enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding Sierra Nevada foothills in the mornings or evenings. Night sky perfect for stargazing out in front of the Lilac, depending on the Moon fullness!
The Yosemite Lilac House is just the place for families and friends looking for comfort, convenience and charm. The open floor plan in the Great Room is ideal for socializing and relaxing. The Lilac House is conveniently located near Yosemite National Park and offers a variety of activities for all seasons. There is easy access to two nearby park entrances, Arch Rock Entrance Station (about 23 mi.) along the Wild and Scenic Merced River Canyon, or the South Entrance on Highway 41 on the way to the largest and majestic Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias.
The Historic Gold Town of Mariposa (9 miles away) with its quaint shops, restaurants, Wine Tasting from local Vineyards, great Beer Pubs, Mariposa County History Museum, California State Mineral Exhibit (located at the Fairgrounds), and Yosemite Climbing Museum are great to explore. Additionally, great food (no reservation needed) 1 mile away from the Lilac House at June Bug Cafe. Hot Tub/Spa and Massage service available at the Yosemite Bug with a reservation at yosemite bug dot com. Whitewater Rafting on the Merced River May-July.

All bed pillows, bed blankets, towels and couch pillows or cushions must stay in the Yosemite Lilac House at all times.
To keep everything clean, please no food or drinks in beds. Additionally, please no sleeping on couch's / sofa's.
