Step inside this beautiful and spacious east-facing log cabin, where you'll be surrounded by incredible lake views and peaceful woods. The open-concept floor plan is perfect for entertaining and comfortably accommodates two families.

Your private paradise is on an 880-acre lake known for trophy fishing and water sports. The shoreline has a hard sand bottom, perfect for swimming.
* Wood-Fired Sauna: Just steps from the front door, the barrel sauna seats up to 8 adults and offers relaxing views.
* Waterfront Fun: We provide kayaks, a paddleboat, and a canoe. Two new docks are available for sunbathing, fishing, or mooring your boat.
* Explore: Discover 20+ acres of woods (bring snowshoes in winter!) and enjoy excellent ice fishing right off the shoreline.

Guests will have private access to the entire log cabin, the surrounding 20+ acres of property, and the private lake frontage with two docks. Enjoy a seamless and private arrival with easy self check-in using a secure keypad. This is a secluded cabin offering ultimate privacy with only one direct neighbor to the north. When we do not have back-to-back bookings, check-in and check-out times are flexible—just ask!

We respect our guests' privacy and offer a fully contactless check-in process. The cabin is your private retreat, and we will not be present during your stay. However, we are always available via phone or message if you have any questions or need assistance to ensure you have a wonderful and comfortable stay.

* Occupancy Limit: Our septic system can accommodate a maximum of 8 adults. Children ages 4 and older are counted toward this maximum. Children under the age of 4 do not count toward the occupancy limit.
* Rental Agreement: We require the primary guest to sign a short-term rental agreement prior to their stay. This helps us legally enforce rules that protect both our guests and our property.
* Smoking, pets and hunting are NOT permitted anywhere on the property.

Our family enjoyed staying at the house as much as exploring the area. We canceled a local river canoe outing to spend our last day on the lake at the house. I could easily make this a yearly trip!

A Nice Getaway

Please with our stay. Probably a bigger place than needed for a family of four! Great lake to kayak and paddleboard - very calm, and lots of inlets and pathways to the other lakes. Laura was very responsive, and house was well-equipped with all the basic supplies needed for the week.

Barnes Family Getaway

I rented the cabin so that my family and I could get a chance to get together and spend a week up north. The accommodations were as advertised and the scenery didn’t disappoint. Lake House Retreat

Everything about this sprawling lake house exceeded our expectations. The furniture and bedding were very comfortable and coordinated with the wood cabin decor. Peaceful get away

The cabin is spacious and has a variety of activities to entertain old and young. The dock is perfect for little fishermen in training:). All the amenities you need are there to make it even less of a headache for packing. Would certainly stay again! If you need a place to reconnect with family and enjoy a bit of peace and quiet this is the place!

Our family stayed here for a week in late July. Cabin is very large with enough space for everyone to do their thing and not get in each others way. Lake was beautiful with a sandy bottom. Highly recommend using the kiyaks to check out the channel between middle and lower Eau Claire lake. We enjoyed our stay.

This property was a little slice of heaven. Very private and cozy. Property owner was very responding and I loved how they had everything labeled from light switches to cabinets and drawers. The bed was very comfortable and the lake was extremely clear. Perfect for families with children. We saw lots of eagles, turtles, deer and even a mother mallard and babies went past us our first evening. The use of the kayaks were a plus. So much to explore here. I’ve stayed at many lake places but I will say this lake was by far the easiest to access and cleanest to enjoy. Oh and the internet service was awesome. I would recommend it to anyone that wants to get away and relax and enjoy some lake life 😊

WOW! Everything you want for a great vacation!

Sprawling home with enough room both inside and outside for all activities. Middle Eau Claire Lake is clear, good swimming/tubing/sand bars to enjoy. Laura was an excellent host with great communication and helpful with answering our questions. All the amenities for our multi-generational family to enjoy. And only an hour from Duluth for a nice day trip too.

Family vacation

This property offers expansive inside and outside space. The host, Laura, was responsive and check in was a breeze. We spent most of our time outside. The wrap around deck, walking paths, chairs for coffee/sunrise, patio dining table and the lake front were our go to spots. The lake’s coves were explored using the kayaks. We were entertained by the deer, loons, and eagles. Thanks for a peaceful week on the lake.

So thankful for the time with family at this beautiful location. The house is huge! Plenty of space. Wonderful wrap around porch (needs more outdoor furniture to enjoy it fully). Comfy beds. Newer appliances & a big dining room table. The host, Laura, was always very quick to respond & checked in to ensure we were settling in. The kayaks and canoe were a hit. The lake had loons, eagles, deers wading in and a beaver (grandsons disappointed no bears…I wasn’t). We loved exploring the coves. Memories were made!!

Spacious getaway
