Beautiful, quiet, romantic get away

This property is absolutely gorgeous!! Quiet, serene and it felt like home!!!!We loved the proximity to Moraine and McConnell’s Mill State Parks where we hiked, biked and kayaked.

Quiet Country Retreat

My husband and I stayed here for several days during the Thanksgiving holiday. It was quiet, free of nighttime light pollution (we live in a city, so this matters) and afforded us a peaceful, comfortable little vacation.

Serene and Peaceful

The retreat was beautiful and the property was immaculate. It was a great place for our group to relax and enjoy time together. Had the weather been warmer I'm sure the outside amenities would have been great also.

Beautiful home in a lovely location

Really enjoyed our trip! Gorgeous setting with lovely touches like nice linens, aromatherapy and soaps. Home is comfortable and cool. Location is near to McConnell state park and others - wonderful hiking, biking and kayaking. Recommend!

Peaceful retreat

Beautiful green garden spot. Secluded but not far from all the necessities. Well appointed kitchen and baths. We loved watching the hummingbirds, the bees and especially the light show of fireflies over the lawn and among the trees. We are already thinking about a fall trip to take in the next season. Quiet Getaway

I cannot say enough good things about this property. It’s beautiful, comfortable and is a wonderful place to relax and unwind. We were in town for my son’s motorcycle races, so it was the absolutely perfect place to unwind and relax in the peacefulness of the property after a long day at the track. There are beautiful personal touches all throughout the property and home and it is a joy to be there.

Beautiful and relaxing retreat

This roomy and well appointed property is in the most beautiful setting! Just being there and listening to the bird song in the surrounding forest is so therapeutic. I took off one point because we had trouble finding it. But I suppose that is part of it's charm, and the owner was readily available to get us on the right track.

Mirabile dictu

So much more than we expected, and to some degree that's because of what is absent. Absence of noise, and the chorus of distraction so often ignored until it vanishes as it does in the woods. It was a place of discovery for us, and we hope our kind hosts will see fit to welcome us back some fine day. Thank you for this extraordinary experience.

What a great home in a beautiful setting! Off the beaten path, we enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. A water feature would be amazing in front of the house to give it a more spa like setting. Great that you can arrange to have a massage too! Loved the front porch. Maybe some more cushioned chairs so you can sit out there longer. If you are senior citizens like us, be careful on the walkway up to the front door. Also the step up to the front door is quite high.
