We had an amazing stay at this beautiful home! Amazing views of Lake George and a perfectly placed hot tub you can enjoy with the same views of the shoreline and lake. We went during the offseason so not a whole lot to do, but we enjoyed the privacy and quietness of this home tucked away in Putnam, NY. Would definitely rent again!

Beautiful house and property on a gorgeous and quiet part of Lake George. Our first time staying on the north side of the lake and would 10/10 recommend staying here. Awesome experience

Michelle was wonderful! Super communicative and knowledgeable about the area, what to do and provided plenty of activities for us. I would definitely return in the future, the house was fully equipped for our needs and last minute we were able to bring our dog along for the visit with no issues! Highly recommend!

Thank you Rachel for the nice review! We welcome you returning!!
My family and I spent a wonderful week at Michelle's place in early July. The setting was incredible- quiet, relaxing and easy access to the lake. Michelle's home was beautiful and had everything we needed to feel comfortable. We especially enjoyed the deck, which has a great view and some breezy shade. We did rent the golf cart which was definitely needed to be able to go to and from the lake multiple times a day. I do think it's important to note that the docks and sun deck are shared-just not what we were expecting. Michelle was a great host-she gave us all of the info we needed and was responsive when we had follow u questions.
We stood at Michelle place and she was super responsive. The house was great and clean. The easy access to the lake, canoes and sun deck was such a nice amenity and kept our teens busy. There really wasn’t a need to leave the property because it was so much fun to relax by the lake. The house was charming and was exactly as advertised. We would definitely stay there again.
Private and peaceful location for our active family's vacation. Property is as described and able to accommodate all seven of us comfortably. Lots to do; swimming, fishing and kayaking at the HOA beach. Great trail running right next door at the Gull Bay Preserve. Many family friendly hikes; Anthony's Nose has great views of Lake George. Awesome ice cream close by: Wind Chill Factory. Hot tub was very relaxing each night after our active days. Great vacation!!

Great guests!!! Left the house immaculate and even washed and dried sheets and towels… Hopefully we will see you back next summer. Glad you enjoyed the stay!! 😊
Michelle’s home was truly stunning. The location was excellent, but during the winter you should be prepared to drive with AWD OR 4WD. I believe she mentions this in the listing so we were prepared. This home was spacious, clean, and had all of the amenities listed. The hot tub was the cherry on top of a perfect weekend with viewed of lake George and the mountains in the distance. We highly recommend this stay!
We enjoyed a wonderful. peaceful, and relaxing week in this beautiful home. It was warm and cozy and immaculately clean. There was absolutely NO EVIDENCE of mice anywhere. The house was one of the most well-stocked homes we have ever stayed in. It has every condiment, spice, kitchen utensil, dish, pot or pan you could ever want. We cooked together every night so we appreciated all the tools any cook would need. We used the kayaks, swam in the lake, warmed up in the hot tub, caught many lake trout on a fishing excursion, and hiked every day despite the bad weather. Michelle was responsive, caring, and reached out when she knew the weather was bad. She provided details about the area which we appreciated in this remote spot. We even got to meet the resident porcupine one evening at dusk! We highly recommend staying in this beautiful home in this stunning location!

Thank you Patty for the lovely review . So glad you were able to experience a lot of what Lake George has to offer! Happy you enjoyed all of the Overlooks’ amenities. Would love to have you back!
When we first walked in we thought the house looked beautiful, it was only after we settled in that we found out how unclean it really was. We reached under the kitchen sink for a garbage bag and there was a dead rat right in front of our faces. There was rat poop all over the cabinets and it was clear the place hasn’t been clean. The rat was under that cabinet for so long it had solidified pee and poop stuck to it and on the cabinet… when I messaged the owner about it she never replied. Do yourself a favor, pick a clean place with no surprises. It was absolutely horrifying and disgusting

The house is professionally cleaned after every rental and we have never had one complaint regarding cleanliness.( Unfortunately we don’t have the cleaners regularly clean under the sink.) We were up the weekend before and right after you rented and found no evidence of mice residue in any cabinet or drawer. We did find evidence of mouse residue under the sink and set traps , we also found the point of entry rectifying that. We apologize for your experience but mice (not rats) are indigenous to the adirondacks and occasionally find their way in.
House is spectacular and nicely located high enough up to have fabulous lake views, but not all that far from the dock. The inside of the house does look just like the pictures. (Note that the pictures of the large lawn mixed in are not the lawn of the house but rather the association area next door). Décor was nice in that it was themed around the wilderness so that you felt like you were away and not just staying in someone else’s house. House has every kitchen item that we wanted. Beds were very comfortable. Use of the kayaks was great but note that another rental house has access to them too so they may not be there when you want them, which wasn’t stated. The patio area over the shared dock was very nice, with lots of chairs to sit and take in the view. The hot tub was very relaxing after long days.
So why the lower rating? There is not a single window treatment in the house. That means unblocked views of the lake. It also means sunlight steaming into the bedrooms at dawn. And it means you cannot use the toilet or step out of the shower without being clearly seen from the road through the large picture window in the main bathroom.
We would love to book our next getaway there, but until window coverings are added to at least the bathrooms I cannot recommend the house.

Thank you Russell for your nice review. This was the first time renting our lake house; I appreciate your feedback and we have since added window treatments to all of the bedrooms and bathrooms. Hope to see you back next year!
This house is absolutely stunning. Every amenity a family could want. It is a remote location, and therefore perfect to get away from it all. We hiked a nearby preserve, fished in the lake, and enjoyed beautiful fires each evening. We would stay here again without a doubt.
The house is new and beautiful with a fabulous view of the lake. We came in the off-season, so we were just there to get away. It is remote, the nearest town is about a 20-minute drive away. During the summer, there would be no need to leave though. The lake access and recreational area are really perfect.
Communication was one of the best I have had, ever. We have a Prius and the roads got really icy. I reached out to Michelle, just to let her know we might have to wait for the ice to melt to get out later in the day. Not only did she say that wasn't a problem, but also called the area association and they came out and spread some sand the same day.
The instructions note that there are porcupines in the area and not to let your dogs off-leash. We made the mistake of not worrying about this since it was the off-season and nobody was around to be bothered about the dogs running around. BIG MISTAKE. Our Lily caught a porcupine and the ER vet was a 1.5-hour drive away. The porcupine was literally RIGHT by the house and out in the morning at 9:30am. Our dog's mouth was full of quills and it was beyond horrible. We have nobody to blame but ourselves though.
