The stay was wonderful! It was very peaceful. The smoke alarm went off upstairs during our stay and the properly manager was very prompt in getting the situation solved!

Very comfortable cabin.
Great, quiet location and centrally located for the destinations we traveled to. Driveway a little tricky for motorcycles but would be no problem for cars.
We had plenty of space for a family of 4, and we would have been fine with even more people. We spent most of our time out and about, but cooking meals at the cabin. We enjoyed our stay.

Our stay was great. There was enough room for the five of us. Kitchen was stocked well with kitchen ware, utensils and cooking supplies.

So glad you enjoyed your stay. We hope you visit us again. Thank you.
We enjoyed our stay being up high in the cool mountain air.
The house fit our needs well, it provided enough beds and the hot tub was a plus.
The inside of the house was very clean however the outside needed some TLC.

Glad you enjoyed your stay and the grandkids had a great time. It is constant upkeep with having the home up in the mountains, under the trees, thank you for letting me know and we will have maintenance look at the outside and see what we can do. Thank you again.
Good location for cabin. Extremely clean. Be aware that there is no dishwasher but it wasn't a big problem for us since there was only two of us.

Thank you. Glad you enjoyed. Correct there is not a dishwasher, one is not listed in the amenities nor in any pics. Kitchen just is not big enough for a dishwasher and would lose cabinet space.

Secluded but still close to everything
The pictures do not do it justice. Rustic Charm says it best. The cabin had everything we needed. Was secluded and yet a few minutes from stores and hiking. Hot tub and wood burning fireplace was well used. Enjoyed our stay.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
Our stay at this cabin was unfortunately far below expectations. The listing did not reflect the actual conditions of the property. The hot tub — one of the primary reasons we booked this cabin — was unusable for the first three days of our eight‑day stay, which significantly reduced the value of our trip.We also discovered two dead mice inside the cabin, which was both disturbing and completely unacceptable. This raises serious concerns about the property’s cleanliness and overall maintenance. On top of that, the listing claimed the ski area was only 6 minutes away. In reality, it was closer to 30 minutes, which materially affected our plans and was a major inaccuracy in the description. To make matters worse, the owner chose to reimburse only one day, despite multiple issues that clearly impacted our stay. VRBO support informed us that this was all they could do, which was disappointing given the circumstances.Between the cleanliness issues, the misleading listing details, the missing amenities, and the minimal compensation offered, this stay did not meet even basic expectations. I hope the owner takes these concerns seriously and makes meaningful improvements for future guests.

I am extremely sorry you felt the need to leave such a review. The hot tub had been cleaned/filled and ready for your arrival. Unfortunately, there was a seal that had a leak, as you are aware, and drained the tub. You arrived on Christmas Eve, even asking for an early arrival, which I was more than happy to do. I called as soon as you reported the hot tub, even having my hot tub guy go out and it Christmas Eve. There was a mechanical issue that he could not fix. Unfortunately, the technician could not come out until the day after Christmas (he does not make service calls on Christmas). It was fixed with it being down only 2 days, again I cannot help a mechanical issue. No where that I can find does it stay 6 minutes to the ski area. If you goggled it using the address, then you saw the service road, which is not accessible to the public. The cabin was clean and, yes, unfortunately, there were 2 dead mice. Terminix had just come and serviced the cabin, and they try to find somewhere warm to go to, which was the cabin. That is part of being in the mountains. I also had Terminix back out on Friday (the day after Christmas). I spend my whole Christmas Eve and Christmas Day trying to make everything right for you. The issues were addressed and taken care off as soon as I could, which was the Day after Christmas. The hot tub was fixed and Terminix was back out, even though the mice were dead, they came back to address any concerns again. It was determined by VRBO that a night's refund was ample considering all that I tried to do to resolve and rectify your concerns. I responded, asap, I had a service person out on Christmas Eve, and technicians back out the day after Christmas. Nothing was going to appease you or make you happy, as you had already made up your mind that anything I tried to do for you was not good enough.
This cabin was the perfect size for us. The hot tub was great paired with the cool weather and heating the creek every day was something else. My only complaint is that I wish I knew it costed money to throw our trash away.

Glad you enjoyed the cabin and hot tub. I have been doing rentals for over 15 years and have never ever had anyone be charged at the County transfer sites (which is where in your welcome package it states to drop it off). So, not sure where you threw your trash away.
My girlfriend and myself stayed at Rustic Charm which was between Waynesville and Maggie Valley and was up on the side of of the mountain. We were close to all attractions. It rained one night and was pleasant to sit out under the balcony and listen to rain and thunder , if i hadn't a home emergency and had to leave a day earlier, but would give 5 stars for our stay and hope in the future we are able to stay there again

Charming cabin in the mountains!
My girlfriend and I stayed for 3 nights at the Rustic Charm cabin. We really enjoyed our stay and will likely stay there again in the future. We went snow skiing one day at Cataloochee, and then we toured the Biltmore Estate on another day. This cabin is perfect for a couple or small family getaway vacation. It is about 10 minutes up the mountain from the town of Maggie Valley so it is not too far from anything. We are glad we stayed there and would recomend it to anyone else.

Thank you so much for the kind review. We are very glad you enjoyed your stay and hope you visit again in the future.
Easy access for a mountain cabin. Constant sound of the creek with a view of a little fall from the porch. Best equipped kitchen we have ever had in a VRBO (pot, pans, etc) . Only thing I would say is the upstairs is a little smaller than the pictures. Overall a great time.

Thank you and glad you found everything you needed during your stay and got to enjoy the creek. It is very relaxing.
Cute cabin, very tight quarters. Worked for us because we had activities planned for each day. Wouldn't be comfortable for a party of our size (5) if you plan to hang around the property. Hot tub was lovely, clean, well-maintained. Lovely setting. Weirdly, only 2 washcloths in the whole house?

I am sorry you felt it wasn't large enough for you. Have never had anyway say that before. I guess it is what you make of it for your stay. Also, had you let me know during your stay about the washcloths, I would have been happy to have had them replaced. I cannot fix something I do not know about. There have been new washcloths added now. Thank you.
Wasn’t to fond of the pest control contractor coming while we’re there. Other than that great place

I am so very sorry. I was unaware that they had come during your stay. They are supposed to schedule with me first to be sure no guests are there. Again, my apologies.
Our stay was wonderful but a little further away from the ski slopes than we thought. The cabin was well equipped and roomy! Very homey cabin vibe. The driveway and road right outside of the cabin iced over in the snow and we had a horrible time getting out (even at 4:30 PM to go to dinner). We did have a four wheel drive vehicle with us and an all wheel drive. Just a heads up!

Thank you. Glad you enjoyed your stay. It is about 15 minutes to the ski resort (depending on the roads). Yes, anywhere in the mountains when it snows and rains, there is the potential of black ice. I always tell everyone to have their provisions with them, just in case you can't get back down (happened to us too).
The cabin was clean, neat, and nicely decorated. The kitchen was well stocked with all the things one might need for cooking. The bed was very comfortable and very high, however, there was a small stool for short people like me! lol
We enjoyed the peace and quiet, the wonderful cooler temperatures and the sound of the rushing creek below across the road. During our stay we saw a black bear, a momma and baby deer, some wild turkey, a wood chuck that came in the yard early evenings, and lots of black butterflys.
