Perfect for everything we needed. Cute and cozy, and 12 miles from our son’s home. Our granddaughter stayed over one of the nights and loved having her own space (she is 4). We Will definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful time staying here. We have family that we visit regularly and this was such a nice place to have our personal space. The neighborhood is just lovely. And our pup absolutely loved the dog run. Highly recommend

Gerty, what a touching review! We were so happy to host you and enjoyed meeting your pup!
The cabin is super cozy and we felt right at home. This is just what we needed for some r&r that wasn’t too far from where we live. The cabin is located on a secluded street and the neighbors were super friendly. The lake was less than 5 minutes away by walking. The view was beautiful and we enjoyed sitting on the docks. Would definitely recommend staying here.

This is a comfy, rustic cabin. It was so much better than staying in a hotel, as we cooked our meals, washed laundry, had more privacy with two bedrooms and saved a lot by chosing this. There was plenty of room for my son and his friend to visit us.
Such a great host, good communication throughout, perfect little lake cottage with lots of privacy in a quiet, quaint community. Close to the lake and pretty central for venturing out to explore CT. The personal touches puts this host over the top...coffee, toiletries, fenced in area for pets, kayaks on the property with life vests...even towels and a beach blanket! Loved our little home away from home...you will, too!

Thank you for your kind words, Tess! We're so glad you loved the cottage and all the little touches that make it special. It was a pleasure hosting you, and we'd love to welcome you back anytime!
All though the cabin wasn’t exactly how the pictures on the website looked, we did have a great time and I did recommend to several of my colleagues and we figured it must’ve looked like that when they first purchased it , because now a lot of things need updating/repairing ,but overall such a charming cozy cabin

Thomas, Amazing review - we are so glad you enjoyed the Lake House at Coventry Lake
The lake house is super cute! Just enough space to spread out and take a break from our tiny Brooklyn apartment, but not too huge as to feel overwhelming. Very comfortable and cozy! The outdoor spaces are very lovely as well.

My wife and I wanted to spend New Year's Eve in this cute log cabin. The property manager made sure we felt welcomed and always checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed during our stay. Even our furry friend "Walle" our dog haha enjoyed his stay. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a lowkey weekend

Jeff, thanks for the AMAZING review and we hope you can come back with "Walle" in the summer time to enjoy the lake!
Everything about the property was accurately described, the property manager was easily reached and quickly responded to my questions. I would recommend renting this property.
We are an elderly couple in our eighties and appreciated the extra touches. Clean and comfortable.
The cabin is old but done over nicely. It is small and since it rained the entire time we watched a lot of tv which offers a lot of options.
Good food locally.

Thanks for the GREAT review - yes, the house is amazing and all enjoy it!
I rented the property for my fiancé’s birthday. We enjoyed the peaceful neighborhood. Since it was just the two of us, the size of the cabin was perfect. I wasn’t able to light the fire pit but that was definitely the selling point for me. The house is very close to the lake. They had everything we needed and even a few things that we had forgotten about. Very convenient. We had a great and relaxing time.

Remember; this is a lake home. There WILL be an amount of nature involved in your stay. (cobwebs, mosquitos, etc.)
The property had everything I needed. Fully stocked with linens, paper products, toiletries and Keurig coffees. The dog run was a real plus; it allowed my pet to have a vacation too! The manager was very responsive and thorough.

Thanks, Tamara! Glad you had everything you needed for a comfy stay—plus a little adventure with nature! That’s part of the charm of a lake house. Happy your pup got to enjoy a little getaway too!
Property had heavy odor of strong cleaning products/ Industrial style air freshener plugins while the back of the house had a heavy odor of mold, the floors in the house were different levels uneven surfaces and were a tripping hazard as well as backyard stairs had broken cement on steps and the area around the fireplace which were covered repeated on steps and the area around the fireplace which was covered with a rug was an inch lower than the rest of the floor my husband was the first one through the door and the first one to the back of the house and he was the first one to notice the mold smell I noticed it immediately as well

This review is highly misleading and does not reflect the true condition of our home or the experience of any other guests before or after this stay. We personally inspected the property with the guest present, and they confirmed everything was in great order — including directly with their travel companion at the time. We even made a house call within 30 minutes of the initial message.
We value honesty and transparency in hosting, and while 99% of our guests are wonderful and respectful, occasionally we encounter situations that don’t reflect those same values. The platform has been made fully aware of this matter and is reviewing it accordingly.
