What a great stay! The place was clean and adorable on a peaceful lake within walking distance to Mercer. The hosts were very responsive and friendly. Highly recommend!
Was great place to stay for weekend iid snowmobiling. We had best time house was clean and nice. Will be coming back later this season for another trip.
Very fun property on the lake! Great communication between the owners and myself. We felt as if we had everything we needed and could easily get something we didn't have.
Group of 6 adults up for riding the ATV trails. House was clean and hosts were very responsive.
Nice to have the garage to park in.
Would stay there again.
Great place to stay in Mercer! Plenty of parking for 2 or more trucks and trailers. The driveway entrance is pretty tight with the tree limbs and snow banks. The snowmobile trail is just down the road so easy access. Overall good experience and will definitely be back!
Great stay at this cozy cabin in the north woods!! The location of this cabin couldn’t have been better for our family trip. Beautiful Echo Lake and the amazing firepit area offered some great views and water access. The parks across the street were perfect for kids and adults alike - a nice walking path and great soccer/softball field, pickleball, basketball and volleyball courts and a swimming beach and playground. The cabin itself is perfect for gathering and the basement amenities (bar area, darts, gaming table and video games) were a big hit with our kids! If that’s not enough, the garage is stocked with everything you might need for keeping everyone busy. Chris the owner was SO helpful and easy to communicate with. We will be back.
This property was perfect for all types of activities & ages. Close to trails, rode our UTV’s up to Lake Superior & local attractions. Sat lakeside, fished, had bonfires, enjoyed the sunsets. Went tubing down the river at Rivers Edge Outfitters. Kids Zip Lined in Minocqua. Went to Boulder Junction Flea Market. Great location & great accommodations for our group. Owners were very attentive & responded quickly, smooth check in/check out process.
Our stay at Nordvann cabin was wonderful. Our group was 4 adults and 5 teenagers. The cabin provides enough space to spread out, with a large yard, tv/game room and bar in the basement or enough room for us all sit together at the kitchen table or the upstairs living room. The fire pit area was a favorite gathering place and the large garage was great for holding all of our outdoor/fishing gear. The location is great, with a nice park/beach just across the road, the boat landing just up the road and a quiet neighborhood yet it's close enough to town to make shopping convenient. There are so many lakes in the area we were able to catch lots of fish, which was a big plus! Owners were amazing at answering all my questions before and during our stay and provided all the info we needed. We really enjoyed our stay!

Brenda,
Thank you for staying with us! We're so glad you enjoyed your stay and we hope to see you again!
Chris and Janice
We had a great time at Nordvann which was perfect for our long family weekend over the 4th of July. The cabin is quaint and cute but spacious, with plenty of amenities and supplies for our 7 adults and 2 little kids that joined us. Everyone commented on the convenience of the cabin and everything that Chris and Janice provided. The cabin is perfectly located on a pretty lake with short walk to town and park, which made coming with the little kids that much easier. We brought four cars and a boat and there was room enough for all of it. The hosts were also friendly and attentive in helping us with everything we needed and we'd love to come back!
Cons: The cabin could use some updates, mostly cosmetic, to bring it up to perfection. Some of the beds (especially pull out couches) were hard for 2 adults to sleep on as advertised. The lake is beautiful but fishing not great, so if that's your primary goal you might try other lakes around.

About the host
Hosted by Chris Johnson
We are a family of four with Wisconsin roots. We have always been a lake family and enjoy boating, fishing and travel. Nordvann, meaning North Waters in Norgeign, is a tip of the hat to our Norweign family and inspired by the family cabin located in Edgursund, Norway.
Why they chose this property
Mercer is a special place to us because of the year round activities available. In the summer the lake is a special draw as well as the town of Mercer. During the fall the leaves and fires spectacular. During the winter we are close enough to the UP ski hills, the vast snowmobile trails and snow shoeing.
What makes this property unique
Nordvann is nestled on a quiet lake with quick access to UTV, snowmobile and bike trails with span miles around. We are close enough to walk to town where you can dine, shop and pick up necessities within minutes.
