Downtown Craftsman with King Bed and Private Yard - Walk Everywhere
Stay at one few of the remaining homes in the core of downtown Bend. Enjoy the natural light from vaulted ceilings, charming architectural details, original hardwood floors and paintings by local artist Sheila Dunn. Choose from dozens of restaurants, breweries, coffee and shops within blocks. Cross the alley to food trucks and occasional live music at the historic Lucas House or relax in your private walled courtyard. A beautifully restored 1922 home with plants and warm wood throughout.
An inviting home with lovely light, attention to detail, character and the historic charm. that comes with carefully cared for homes of this vintage.
The entire house is accessible to guests, with two exceptions: the garage and the loft.
The laundry is in the closet, in the front room.
We live right down the street and are happy to meet our guests, but more often than not, we let you enjoy your privacy for the entire trip.
A mixed urban downtown setting with traditional historical homes converted to businesses. In the evening there is often live music or DJs just across the alley at the Bunk and Brew (most people love it!). Please be aware it can be noisy in the backyard or bedroom but should be wrapped up by 10pm. If it is noisy past 10pm please let us know immediately and we will respond to resolve it.
The location is extremely walkable and also has easy access to/from the highway 97 (especially southbound).
Live music can be heard from the historic Lucas House next door and can vary from acoustic guitar to rock and karaoke. The music should be wrapped up at 10 pm but often goes a bit late. Note that this is an urban setting and comes with urban sounds. It is also close to the highway. Please use the leather three-ring notebook for all kinds of helpful information.
NO PARTIES. Noise monitoring devices and exterior cameras on all entrances are in place.
All guests must be included in the reservation. Any unauthorized additional guests will be charged a $100 fee, per additional guest, per night. A guest is considered anyone who enters the property for more than 1 hour.
Pets not included in the reservation will incur a $200 charge.

Beautiful home in a fantastic location for exploring downtown Bend. Excellent communication about our stay and no issues at all. This home is adorable, larger than it looks online and nicely appointed.
These super cool and caring hosts have an outstanding consideration for guests, absolutely everything has been thought of and provided. The house is quality and the location is perfect for quick and pleasant walks to all the shops and restaurants. I was thrilled to find it surprisingly quiet (December), absolute gold for me as a noise-sensitive person who loves living in urban areas. 10/10 will book again!
We loved the house and the location. We didn't spend much time in the house outside of sleeping and coffee, but it fit our needs perfectly, and we loved being able to walk everywhere.
We had a fantastic time staying at this beautiful little house in Bend, Oregon. The location couldn’t have been better—right in the center of town and within walking distance of great restaurants, shops, and everything we needed. Free parking was a huge bonus! The house itself was super clean and cozy, with a very comfortable bed and a great shower. We also really appreciated the fresh coffee provided—it was delicious and a great start to our mornings. Having a washer and dryer on-site was very convenient as well.Overall, this place had everything we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. We truly loved it and would absolutely come back!
Hi Jeff - we always aim for 5 stars and would be happy to take care of any issues you had, or any suggestions on improvements. Thank you for staying with us.
This property is perfect for a getaway for two. The space is updated, clean, and a perfect location for exploring downtown Bend. I will definite comeback!
Cute house, very nice landscaping and backyard area. Plenty of room for 2 people, fully stocked kitchen and very comfortable accommodations. This property is easily walkable to the downtown Bend area. Host communicate with us well and was very helpful
We were initially concerned about being so close to a main road. But it turned out to be a non-issue. The owners were great and promply answered all our questions. We had a great time.
Really cool cottage in really cool old town Bend. Walk to breakfast, dinner or cocktails. Close in but quiet. Loved my all too brief stay. I’ll check for its availability next time for sure!
We had a wonderful time. The property is exactly as described and even better than the pictures. The bed is incredibly comfy. The location is quiet at night but an easy walk to down town and an easy drive to Mt Bachelor and other fun parts of the city. We recommend starting the day with Lone Pine coffee, just down the street. The fire place was cozy after long days of skiing. We will definitely be back!

Claire - we are so fortunate to have Lone Pine so nearby. As a coffee roaster myself, I cannot emphasize enough the importance of buying your beans as soon as they come out of the roaster. Hard to beat a local roastery 2 blocks away. Did you happen to try the Ocean Roll while you were here? If not, its worth a trip back.
Glad you also enjoyed the bed. We like the to call it the "Morning Plans Ruiner" :)
Thanks for staying with us and we appreciate the care you took of the place.
This is a fantastic little house. I’m going to try and stay here every time I come to Bend from now on. Completely remodeled, really well done, comfortable with everything you would ever need. I can’t think of anything that would improve this house. The only thing I will add… They mention in the listing that it’s in an urban neighborhood and sometimes can get a little noisy in the evenings. We had no problem with noise whatsoever. With that said, we only stayed for one night, and that was a Sunday night, which is generally quieter than Fridays or Saturdays. Also, the noise from the 97 was a total non-issue.This is my new go to place in Bend
This little house, just blocks away from downtown Bend, feels like a home away from home, with space to spread out and relax. It is the perfect staging for everything you do in Bend. My wife and I stayed for 11 days.
You will relish the wonderful great room with its vaulted ceilings, comfy couch, cozy writing desk, and warming fireplace. The gas fired kitchen is spacious and has everything you need for food prep and cooking. Something often overlooked, that guests love, are surfaces to put things on. They are everywhere in this cottage so you can spread out and keep everything visually organized. This cottage has been tastefully refurbished and seems "just built". Who raves about showers? Well, just try this one. OK, and the comfy king bed doesn't want to let you go in the morning, making for lazy breakfasts at the generous nook table.
Enough, just book it and you'll be glad you did. Need help? Ryan is at your service.

The location was prime for walking to downtown; the backyard was fenced in and beautifully manicured; and the cottage felt like home. It was perfect!
Great location; close to downtown Bend. Fully equipped, including washer/dryer which came in handy.
Very cute one-bedroom house. Lovely outside space in backyard. Occasional noise at night from the bar behind, but not too bothersome. We would gladly stay again.
This house was perfect for a trip for any couple. I liked the private backyard, the open space inside the house, and the bed was very comfortable. We were close to everything and was able to walk everywhere. The owners/host were very communicative and welcoming.

About the host
Hosted by Ryan Lenz
Two friendly outdoor-enthusiasts who love their five year old boy, their Indonesian cat, chocolate, and time in the kitchen. We met through a shared love of travel and adventure. Now that we have put down roots and have a family, we want to provide the kind of warm hospitality we experienced in so many places around the world.
We were both born in the Pacific Northwest and spent our first three years together living in Jakarta, Indonesia. Ryan enjoys mountain biking, snowboarding, roasting coffee, surfing and all things nerdy. Katie likes yoga, reading, trail running and creativity in the kitchen. We feel fortunate to have absurdly easy access to nature and endless ways to enjoy it. We also appreciate that kind and thoughtful neighbors surround us. We are delighted to share our space and hope you enjoy every minute.
Why they chose this property
We believe in walkable urban cores, where people and businesses coexist.
What makes this property unique
As avid walkers/bikers eager to leave the car in the driveway, we love being able to walk everywhere downtown! On the inside, the high ceilings and rich wood really sold us when we walked in.
