It's well-equipped with everything you and your guests could ever need to spend an unforgettable time together. It features a well-equipped kitchen with all the essentials, central air-conditioning, a private balcony with terrific views of the pool and beach, on-site washer/dryer for your laundry needs, comfortable and inviting furniture, and a large, TV with cable.
This beachfront condo is ideally located within walking distance of various dining and shopping options; you can also take the bus for hassle-free travel to your favorite destinations. The historic Ocean City Boardwalk, with its carnival atmosphere, great food, and superb nightlife, is located five miles south. You can also plan a fun family day at Jolly Roger Amusement Park and Splash Mountain Waterpark, only four miles south.
Things to Know The building provides complimentary WiFi as a courtesy, but it is not guaranteed. The indoor pool and large outdoor pool will not accommodate children in diapers. There is an outdoor kiddie pool provided for children in diapers. Ocean City has adopted a noise control ordinance that makes it unlawful to cause or permit noise levels which exceed those established by the Department of the Environment of the State of Maryland (COMAR 26.02.03.02) or are in violation of Chapter 30, Article V of the Town Code. It shall be a violation of this agreement and grounds for eviction under Maryland law if these noise levels are exceeded as a result of activity on this property. Ocean City has other noise ordinances, which are criminal offenses if violated.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). ocmd vacasa was great. We stayed at Golden Sands. Clean towels were provided in addition to made beds so we did not need to bring those items. Also provided soap, shampoo and conditioner, paper towels and toilet paper. Which was all a nice surprise.

Awesome Condo overall!
The condo space itself was amazing. The layout was so nice and the view was on point! LOVED IT! But the cleanliness of it definitely did not match up sadly.

Nice space
We enjoyed our stay here. Master bedroom and bath are very nice. Each bedroom has its own bathroom which was great. Only main complaint would be that the sliding glass door to the balcony was extremely difficult to slide open (took 2 people at times). Kitchen could use a few extra items (cutting board, sheet pan) but not a big deal. Close to the beach always a plus!

Lovely Place but needs cleaning
We had a wonderful time in OC for my daughter’s birthday. This is a lovely place that needs a little attention to detail. It is explicitly non-smoking and the deck smelled like smoke and there was a wet cigarette on the deck that was disgusting. The interior needed a good cleaning.

We had a lot of difficulty using the front door lock. Our initial code was off and we had to get a new code. None of the televisions and remote controls were synced up together. There were multiple remote controls and NOT LABELED. There was a short in lighting in master bedroom. It was difficult to use fan without light. The beds were nice, but high off floor. Kitchen has most everything you need. The furniture was nice and comfortable and we had plenty of space for our family of five. There was a broom, but no dustpan. The hot/cold was mislabeled in Master bathroom. Vacasa is quick to respond to any challenges in the property and fix what they can fix.

Not great
The air conditioning stopped working 2 different days during our stay. The first time we reported it (78 degrees!) no one came until the next day. We had to sleep on the couch because it was the coolest room. The 2nd time, we only had 1 more day left so didn’t feel like calling. Luckily it corrected itself.
The place is dirty. The floors and bathrooms seemed clean but tables/dressers were filthy and clearly not part of the regular cleaning. The furniture is dingy and stained. Sand was all under the beds, Tables snd dressers. There was a nasty broom but no dust pan. 2 vacuum cleaners were there but didn’t work great.
Shampoo, conditioner and soap were advertised but some were empty. You are given 2 rolls of toilet paper but bring more.
Balcony door is almost impossible to open. I strained my back towards the end of our stay.
There are no games or activities so bring your own.
Linens and towels are provided. A few garbage bags are provided as well as some dish soap and dishwasher detergent. 1 small roll of paper towels is also provided.
There is an ice maker which was very helpful.
There is no extra parking. You have to check each day to see if another owner is selling their spot. Even then, you can only purchase one extra spot. Public parking is 2 blocks away.
I would not rent this condo again. It was way overpriced for the experience we had.

The condo could use a deep clean. Underneath the furniture doesn’t look like it’s been cleaned in quite some time. With it being peek season, I would have thought a deep clean would have already been done. The master bedroom bed was hard as a rock! We had to sleep with the kiddos every night.. which was disappointing. We were looking forward to a private master suite. As mentioned in another review from a year ago, the hot and cold water in the master bathroom is still incorrect. After almost scolding my body, I realized cold is actually hot and hot is actually cold.. feel like this could be hazardous. Since this still has not been corrected after a year, it would have been nice to have a disclaimer within the unit.. another review mentioned the sliding door in the living room being extremely difficult to open and close. This is still an issue that has not been corrected. Another review mentioned remotes not being labeled.. still an issue we experienced. Tons of remotes everywhere with no labels.. Seeing these items being mentioned in prior reviews with a comment saying those issues would be addressed and an entire year has passed and they still have not been fixed makes me question if I will ever book with this company again.. although we experienced a few inconvenience, it was still a nice vacation. The kiddos loved the kiddie pool and how close we were to the beach! The freezer having an ice maker was a nice bonus we weren’t expecting!

Unit #618 Golden Sands Condo
The Views were truly wonderful. The cleaning services were not. I do not give this place a good rating and will not be working with VACASA in the near future. After my family and I traveling 5 hours with a 10-month old baby, we were eager to finally see our room. This unit was not cleaned. There was sand in bathroom tubs, not to mention the shower doors had scum on them. The floors were sandy, the bureaus in bed rooms were dusty. We went down to the VACASA desk and complained we needed someone to clean floors. We have a baby that is crawling around. They told us they would send someone right away. Ok, so we waited. No one came on Saturday. We went back down on Sunday, asked for them to send someone again, also asked for a vacuum cleaner they might have so we could do ourselves. This vacuum did not work. The filter in it was so dirty and falling apart. My daughter pulled it out and gave it to the VACASA representative. They told us they were going to send someone up and gave us a time. AGAIN, someone was in unit waiting for them to come up. NO ONE CAME!! We went down on Monday, complained again. Again, no one came. It was not till Wednesday that someone came to our unit (they did not warn us they were coming or give us a time they were coming). We told them we have a baby. We tried to get a time designated for cleaning. We had to turn them away on Wednesday, after waiting since Saturday, due to the baby was sleeping. My granddaughter was not acclimated to the new surroundings yet. We have tried to clean this unit both on our own, with what was provided, even down on our knees trying to get the sand up. Not even a broom was provided. I have taken pictures of this mess and will not stop until I receive a deposit or acknowledgement other than "We are sorry for this inconvenience". This is not acceptable after paying 6,800.00 for this unit. NOW I am being told from the manager of VACASA that they need to contact Property Management because since we turned away the cleaning person after 3 days of waiting, they can't refund anything. I do have pictures and will post this on yet.....another site.

Home away from home
Loved everything about condo. Would have expected an iron and ironing board though.
One larger fry pan and larger pot was needed.
Sounds like the air conditioning is about to go.
Very loud as it is next to first bedroom. Guest was unable to sleep in that room due to the vibration and noise. Would love to spend time there in the future and during off peak

Clean, up to date appliances. No issues. Room 618 very nice. Thanks for changing our room when we needed. Would come back.
Great place and great price. Love all the amenities. The building has everything you need. It was a lot of fun. The tiki bar is great. On Wednesdays they have a DJ who has contests. My only complaint is how hard the bed was in the master bed room. It was as hard as a rock. Other then that we loved the place and the view. Also a few things were broken and we called Vacasa but they never came and fixed the stuff. Like the screen door was off and I really wanted to Have the door open when I slept to hear the waves but didn’t want the bugs getting in.
