Easy to communicate with, the house had everything we needed and more. The house was spacious, beautiful views, definitely a place everyone would come back to. Especially in the summer!
This is a great home for larger family gathering. We had individual spaces as well as great communal places to be together. I felt like I was staying at my parents.
Excellent house on a nice lake! The jacuzzi was a hit with adults and kids too! And grand daughter treated up to playing on the Lowell level key board! Stay here!
We stayed at this home during our daughter’s wedding weekend at a nearby venue. Lots of sleeping space and a large living room with a fantastic view. We enjoyed our stay and the hosts were great!
Much needed rest was had by all at this beautiful property nestled on the lake. We are grateful for the accommodations to rest and recover between those long days peddling across tyecUSA!
Absolutely an amazing place to create a memorable get away. Thanks for listing, we will definitely be coming back when we can. Easily slept our large group with comfort and the lake views are amazing.
We absolutely love staying here! This was our second time returning. The home is beautiful, extremely clean, accessible, quiet and relaxing. The owners are responsive and kind. A great place to stay for families or anyone looking to create a staycation.
The stay was overall very lovely. The house was clean and clearly well maintained. The layout of the house is a little more disjointed than the pictures led me to believe and we had a small ant problem but overall very nice stay. The owners were very responsive when we ran into issues.
The CLICK6 visited Chisago, MN and had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful home! Everything you could need for a quiet lake getaway. Hot tub, paddle board, kayaks, life vests, floating tubes, Lilypad… We had a nice time during evenings playing cards and other games such as Guess Who? Hoping we can return again soon!Hosts were great
Close to hiking, shops, restaurants. The house itself is lovely. Enjoyed the hot tub looking out at the lake and playing games in the kitchen booth. Chargers in every room was a nice touch.
A special thanks to Zach and Betsy for being such wonderful hosts!! Our family had a great stay in their beautiful home. We enjoyed games, fishing, kayaking, good food and the beautiful view of the lake. We were also happy we could bring our fur babies :) please don’t hesitate to rent this wonderful property, it’s ok perfect!!!
This was a big, beautiful property with plenty of amenities and walking distance to a local restaurant and brewery. The property manager was responsive and very helpful. 5 stars all the way!
It was too cold to do anything outdoors, but we enjoyed the views, fireplace, and hot tub! Made for a cozy weekend of crafting, reading, games, and good conversation.
Beautiful property, with a great lake view. There's a dock too. Very neat and clean and very spacious. Kitchen is fully stock, great screened in porch and deck. Owners are very receptive with questions. Big beautiful windows in the living room. Spacious lower level. The bedrooms are private from each other. We'd stay again
We had a wonderful stay at this property, rain or shine! The home is spacious, well-maintained, and stocked with everything you need for a perfect lake getaway. All of our guests commented on how comfortable the beds were, which made relaxing easy even with the cloudy weather. Although we didn’t get much sunshine during our visit, we still had a great time exploring the area — highlights included Taylor Falls and some charming local shops and restaurants. We’d happily return, hopefully with a little more sunshine next time!
We had a surprise birthday party for my wife where our three adult children and their spouses (and a 14 month old) all stayed at the Gables. We had a lot of fun together and it was a memorable stay with outstanding quality family time. Could not have been better!
We had an amazing family vacation at your lake house. There was lots of space to spread out, but also to gather together for games or meals. The lake access was great and the lake itself was perfect for boating and tubing. The family also enjoyed hanging out in the hot tub after a day on the lake. The owners have thought of every detail and the quality of linens, decor and amenities was beyond what we expected. Thank you and we will be back next year!

About the host

We are a fast-paced family of five who knows deep in our bones how much we need space away to paddle or ski across a quiet lake at sunset. So we come here, and we invite you to stay here and wander in the woods, to bike through fall color, or curl up with a good book at the fire or enjoy a long chat in the kitchen nook over a cup of coffee.
Why they chose this property
THE GABLES captured our imagination as a place where families like ours could build layers and layers of memories over the years.
Because proximity makes the magical possible, we are thrilled to offer an upscale, expansive home just minutes from two significant wedding venues in the area: Winehaven Winery and Ojiketa Regional Park. Between a main living space on one floor and the huge French-door bedroom with two queen beds, the space feels like it was made for a wedding party to prepare with their family for the big day.
For the everyday adventurer, we loved the fact that we can be rock climbing, canoeing, or hiking at Taylor's Falls within 15 minutes. While THE GABLES is tucked in nature outside the hustle of the Twin Cities, it was important to us that guests could easily catch at flight out of MSP with a drive time door-to-door of 45 minutes.
What makes this property unique
We adore the privacy and serenity this home perched at the top of Little Green Lake as much as we love the quiet, natural beauty of the Chisago Lakes area. All along Chisago’s chain of lakes and out to Taylor’s Falls, we keep finding hidden gems: our favorite beers are here, the best mead wine, fabulous hand-made goods, trails for days, and all of our kids’ secret beaches.
