Location
If lodging & location is all you need, this place is perfect. It’s super clean. Neighborhood is not what I expected and the house amenities are basic but the house served it’s purpose and that’s all we expected.
We had a great stay at the house in Indy. House was big enough for a group of 11 and allowed us to be together while traveling to watch the BIG 10 Championship football game at Lucas Oil Stadium. Would definitely stay again!
Paul and Alyssa have a great location just a short distance from Downtown Indianapolis and Lucas Oil Stadium. Plenty of places to sleep, very clean and a modern, open kitchen. The quiet, neighborhood vibe was a great change of pace after checking out the great restaurants and bars that Downtown Indy has to offer. Highly recommend!!
House was very hospitable- extremely clean! Grammarlyat baths/shower area and lighting. Beautiful features for an older house remodel. Negatives- Wifi was spotty and kept dropping internet. All beds were extremely uncomfortable- but okay for two days. Driveway and parking was very hard to use tonaccomadate our full size truck.
Had to stay while some renovations were happening and this home was perfect for me and my children. Home was clean, beautiful, and just as seen on their listing! Thanks again for a lovely 5 star stay. I will definitely be booking again in the near future.!
Our first thought was the neighborhood was a little sketchy, but it was a nice place to stay. We didn’t have any problems and the area was pretty quiet. There was plenty of room and we had lots of family traveling with us. Everyone was comfortable and plenty of space for all of us.
Was a great place for our needs. Had a little difficulty entering with code but it finally worked. The back yard could use landscaping as we would have liked to be outside more. But over all a great place.
We stayed here on a trip to watch the Olympic Trials. There was plenty of room for multiple families. There is a park down the street for kids to play at. We did not spend much time at the property or cook there. It was clean and cool, the temperature was hot during our visit. There is not an ice maker at the property, so pick up ice if you need it. We found it convenient to take a short Uber ride into downtown and keep cars parked at the house, rather than paying for parking. We truly enjoyed our visit!
The home was just as pictured. The home was clean and close to downtown. We had no problem getting Ubers or Lyfts to where we needed to go. The home is drafty when temperatures are low. We were very cold in the home the entire stay. The hot water was a problem but we communicated our concerns and the Host sent maintenance over to accommodate. We would recommend this home when looking for a place to stay in Indy and stay there again.
Overall a great experience. The place is close to the city and seems to be in a nice neighborhood.
Ubers were cheap to anywhere we needed to go and you could still ride the bird scooters back if you wanted.
Beds were pretty comfortable and there were quite a lot of them. Every one of the double size beds have beds that slide out from underneath them.
The hallway bathrooms shower is quite interesting. That was the worst part of the place. The only water goes everywhere. So for all things considered it’s a great place.
House itself was ok. Proximity to downtown great. Just a lot of little issues. Came back to a mouse in the family room. No hairdryer. Limited towels (one per person for entire trip). Only 3 coffee cups (one with chip). No way to make ice. Hall bath shower gets a lot of the bathroom floor wet the way it is designed.
Large family attending stadium event and other things
We were in Indy for several days attending a large stadium event and a few other fun things in Indy. The property would good for our family and the location is literal minutes from Lucas Oil-it might even be walking distance for the ambitious. I wasn't sure about the neighborhood at first but the people were friendly and stayed to themselves and there is a driveway for off street parking and we were perfectly secure. Nice to have our dog along. Beds comfortable and new. Unusual open shower in the primary! Soap dispensers in both bathrooms. Owners were responsive when needed, although we never did get a solid freeze from the freezer. Didn't affect us too much, and we had a nice week. Thanks for everything. Would stay again.

Old home/Nice Potential/Communication needs work
The pictures don’t show the accuracy of the remodel work completed. Bad sheet rocking shows bumpy walls and Sheetrock tape. Baseboards and walls painted without 1st sanding, Master Bedroom not properly insulated and is much colder than the rest of the house. Dishwasher did not work. Advised owner, he responded over an hour later saying someone would be by within the hour. We left 2 hours later and no one had shown.
Several issues, such unable to reach property manager
Several concerns - none of which were addressed during stay due to unresponsive property manager:
-House was very cold during stay despite running thermostat
-No shower curtains so unable to shower
-TV on second floor did not work
-Fuse blew while using microwave second evening of stay and property manager did not respond to messages through VRBO and phone number on file when straight to VM/no VM box set up so no kitchen lights, no power to fridge (all food spoiled), and no power to microwave for the remainder of stay
-Contacted VRBO directly following no response from property manager and VRBO also unable to reach property manager

Communication
This is a beautiful and cute little space that hosted our numbers comfortably. We had 10 people staying here and it was great. However, we weren’t sent check-in instructions until a couple hours after check-in. I had to call the property manager (they never answered or called back). They did eventually send the instructions through VRBO. I also had to call the Property Manager multiple times to get a reply when I had concerns about our stay prior to arriving. They also have some nosey neighbors who took pictures/videos of my students as we entered the house. I messaged the manager through VRBO and they did respond to this message immediately, apologizing profusely.
The house was missing some basic items like a can opener & the flooring is popped up in some spots so much so, that you almost trip.
I want to give this stay an 8/10, but due to how poor the communication was initially, I’d give it more of a 5/10 as it added a lot of extra stress to my planning process.
