The location is secluded but not too far from stores & restaurants. The 3 levels provide privacy but is also cozy. Owners have provided lots of games & toys & the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. The bear themed decor is very appropriate for the setting. The hot tub was much appreciated. I would recommend this place & hope to return in the future.
We had everything we needed and more! The house is beautiful and well taken care of. When we lost power the owner was very quick to respond. We loved how each floor was like its own master bedroom, and that there were coffee and tea and condiments provided for us. Also, the check out procedure and information about the house was thorough and very helpful! We would definitely stay here again!!!
The cabin is so cozy but spacious and the property is gorgeous. We had plenty of room to commute together inside and out and then we’re able to retreat to our own levels for privacy. We enjoyed our coffee on the porch with the fire crackling and watching the deer, bunnies, and birds flitting around. This is a wonderful place to relax and unwind.
We make an annual trip with another family. This house satisfied all of our needs as far as space, both inside and out. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies and allowed for easy meal prep for our large group.
I want to share with you part of my communication with the host.
“Everything is so tastefully and thoughtfully done. It is greatly appreciated. Generally when we arrive to rental houses we need to make a beeline to the nearest supermarket and spend a few hours just getting things right. Not so with this house. My family is really happy to be here. I will let my children know about the hot tub as well.”
That was an early communication.
It only got better from there. Aside from all the basic necessities and an ample supply of them there were plenty of games and and recommended activities to keep our family busy for 10 days. It isn’t super close to whitewater rafting or tubing so it is not yet a touristy area, but it is only about 45 minutes away. Boating on lake is a great activity for the kids and that is about a half hour away. All the technology and appliances were in working order so you won’t be roughing it. There is a fire pit and two fire places with wood supplied by the host. The host is super responsive and a pleasure to deal with. If you want to go fishing I would recommend fishing on one of the nearby lakes in North Carolina. They have 10 day licenses and they stock many of the lakes with trout. Something worth mentioning which I am not sure will make a difference to you, but I come from Florida where all the land is flat. For some (not for me personally) when pulling up to the house for the first time the incline is quite steep and may be a little disconcerting. I assume you should probably switch gears navigating that incline.
Everyone of my family and friends that stayed raved about the cabin!!! It’s location, cleanliness, charm all were perfect for what we were looking for. Our group rode motorcycles in the mountains all week, and at the end of the day everyone looked forward to coming back to the cabin and reminiscing about the days ride and hanging out on the screened in porch. The owner was very pleasant to work with, making sure all our needs were met. Definitely would come back!!!!!!!!!
Had a very enjoyable stay with family over the holiday. Pat was very communicative and all of our needs were met. Cooking away from home can sometimes be challenging but it felt just like being at home . Would recommend this property to anyone. 5 stars.
We had an amazing time staying in this Murphy , North Carolina cabin . It was immaculate and beautifully decorated . Pictures do not do this place justice . It was beyond our expectations. The owner answered all our questions and had a notebook that had all instructions , local attractions, and restaurants in one place . This was our first experience with VRBO and it was a perfect place to start . I couldn’t be more pleased with the cabins and bedrooms . It was everything you could ever want in a cabin/ mountain adventure . It had 2 fireplaces and a firepit. We had s’mores and cooked hotdogs . There was so much room for our family and a huge tv in both living rooms . You will not be disappointed. We are planning to come back as soon as we can. I appreciate being able to spend our Christmas vacation in this lovely home .
