Really enjoyed our stay! Cabin is peaceful and the creek view is excellent. Check in/out is easy and everything was very clean. If we end up in the area again we will definately rebook this listing.
This cabin is very clean and has everything you’ll need. Beautiful creek outside and a fire pit, too. Host was very accommodating and quick to respond with any questions. We will definitely book this cabin again.
Everything was wonderful. This is my second time staying here snd there will absolutely be a third (and 4th, 5th, etc...). Clean, easy to check in/out, friendly, responsive host. Will definitely be back.
It was an amazing little cabin with lots of character. It was very private, which is what we wanted. You could hear the babbling creek from the balcony which was so peaceful. Only suggestions -- I would add a washer and dryer and a hot tub.

Hot tubs are hard to manage with a well in the mountains.
The cabin is surrounded by a beautiful secluded yard, gorgeous stream and endless trees. The cabin itself was rustic. It was decorated well and had plenty of space for gathering. We did have a hiccup related to the sewage pump, and we had to set up a fan and open the doors to air out the private suite downstairs.
Loved this cabin. Was a little hard to find but just what i wanted. Loved being creek sode and hearing water running. Inside was clean. Well stocked with everything to make stay comfortable. Would love to plan another stay during late summer early fall. Driveway is a little tricky getting out but concrete pads make it doable. Give it 5 stars
The property (indoors and outdoors) was much better than what we were expecting bases upon the online pictures. The kitchen was well equipped with anything you might need and the variety of games was an added bonus. The fire pit next to the creek was a nice addition and they even had s'more supplies. The only way to get to the main area was an outdoor spiral staircase. We all thought it was great but just beware with smaller kids or older guest.
Overall we enjoyed our stay, There are a couple of things that could be a deal breaker for some. I will give the positives and potential negatives.
Positives:
--Mountain location with a small level yard area with fire pit and beautiful mountain stream wraping around it(probably great for families where parents can view chidren while they play in the creek)
--Host was accommodating and responded quickly.
--Cabin was updated well stocked and clean.
--Wifi was good.
-- Decks overlook creek and yard
-- washer/dryer
-- Two hiking trails and a couple wineries/ orchards about 20 min
away.
Potential Negatives:
-- Steep descent and sharp turn entering property(a 4×4 or all wheel drive is reccomended)
--The two areas of the cabin are seperate and you can only reach the other by going outside and down or up a spiral staircase( this worked for us with a teenager who enjoyed having their own space)
--To enter the main level, you have to go down 15 steps, across the lower porch then up a spiral staircase.
-- drive time to Ellijay with wife driving was right at 30mins.
We stayed for a week at the cabin with our family of three. The cabin was very clean and had pretty much all the essentials you would need. The cabin is 2 levels and the rooms are not connected except from the outside deck. Our daughter who is 14 loved the separate room. It was like her own appt. During our trip we drove into MCCaysville's Ga to go white water rafting and Blueberry picking. We walked around the cute town of Ellijay and had lunch there. We also went on a hike to see waterfalls. The drive into the cabin is not for the week at heart! Please read through the owners directions about car type, we made it okay with a front wheel drive but it is not recommended! Everything took about 30-60mins to get to from the cabin. At the cabin there was a nice porch with rockers to sit on and enjoy the sound of the creek. There was a tube blown up for use but the creek was very low so we just walked around in it a little. We did make a fire at the pit which is right near the creek. Overall, we had a very relaxing time. The tv had all the channels available and the cabin was comfortable.
Loved this property!! Beautiful scenery, cozy, cute and quiet cabin. Will definitely be staying again!
Heed owners warning about a proper vehicle! It's a mountain cabin with mountain terrain! But we loved how secluded the property was. Just beautiful! Easy check in and check out as well. Great experience.
I’m a career aviation maintenance professional with experience as a COO of a law firm and a background in tax. During COVID, I built a cedar cabin by hand and spent that time in Ellijay Ga,—creating a place rooted in craftsmanship, privacy, and peace.
I currently host two cabins within walking distance of each other, both located directly on the edge of the Chattahoochee National Forest. These are true mountain properties—expect natural terrain, wildlife, and a quiet, tranquil setting.
We take pride in sharing these cabins with respectful, conscientious guests who appreciate the beauty and serenity of the mountains.
