Formia (Formiae in ancient times) is an Italian port city and seaside resort with a mild climate all year round. The thermal wind is ideal for surfing, kite surfing, sailing. The city is in the province of Latina region of Lazio with 40,000 inhabitants. It is 110 km south of Rome, 90 km from Naples.
Shops for daily shopping are 5 minutes away on foot. In 5 minutes by car you can reach a shopping center with over 30 shops. The center of Formia with the port and train station connections Roma Napoli can also be visited with the local bus (stop 4 minutes from the house) Every Thursday from 8.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. the big weekly market takes place. In 1 hour you can reach Roma, Napoli, Pompej , Pontine Islands, La Reggia di Caserta, Monte Cassino 1/2h
