My group of 10 people had a wonderful time at the house. The home itself is excellent with plenty of room for a large group and so many interesting spaces to spend time. The beach and lake are great and there are many things to do within a short drive from Westport. Communication with the host was easy and quick and Antoine is helpful and informative, I highly recommend this property!

This is a truly magical home for a large gathering get-away or an intimate weekend away. Right on the lake with views to the west, access to a little beach, a beautiful patio to enjoy the sunrise and evening drinks... lots of room for kids to play also. The lake house itself is an excellent example of the old Adirondack style, with interconnected rooms and plenty of privacy. The kitchen is very well-stocked and ready for your chef inspirations. Antoine was an excellent communicator and responded in a timely way to all our inquiries. Thanks for sharing this space!

Antoine was an incredible, responsive, and helpful host. The home was perfect for a large family gathering - including adults, kids, and dog - with sprawling rooms and spaces that allowed everyone to gather but also have privacy. The decor of the home creates an unforgettable experience, and family members enjoyed paging through old books dating back to 1800s while relaxing by the fireplace in the library. The kitchen was well equipped with many dinnerware options and plenty of cookware options that exceeded our needs. The outside grounds were relaxing, and the view of Lake Champlain and the Green Mountains of Vermont were eye-catching and breath-taking. Linens were clean and abundant. Bedrooms and bathrooms were also clean and well-equipped. We had a short stay, but we had no need to leave the home throughout our stay as we just enjoyed gathering as a big family in a comfortable place.This home is magnificently appointed while preserving a rich history as a home dating back to the late 1800s - the home still carries much of the character! (i.e. abundant lamp lighting). It is a clean and wonderful space, and as a guest, you will also notice the original character of a historic home that's been enjoyed over many decades. If you are someone that can appreciate that charm and history, this home is an absolute must stay!

I've thought hard about how to handle this review. This is a gorgeous house in a scenic spot. There is much to love! At the same time, the property is in real need of deep cleaning and a lot of deferred maintenance. We dealt with a mice infestation when we arrived and ongoing issues with cleanliness throughout the house. The owner was responsive and sent a crew to deal with mouse issues, but we had to live with the rest of the situation throughout our stay. It was particularly frustrating because we had a toddler, infant and pregnant family member with us, and did not feel we could give them the freedom to enjoy the house as we would have hoped. The house is filled with historic character, but it is also pretty dark inside, so we had our meals and spent most of our time on the beautiful, large oversized porch which looks out over the water. Throughout our stay and troubles, Antoine was kind and responsive on the one hand, but also defensive about the state of the house. He refunded our cleaning fee as a gesture of consideration, but I did not feel that was adequate to the inconvenience. I truly believe this place is a gem, and I hope it gets the attention is deserves so many future guests can enjoy it.

This property is a beautiful, rustic, classic Adirondack property overlooking Lake Champlain. It has a great mix of modern amenities and vintage furnishings. Antoine was very helpful with check-in and any questions we had regarding the property. The house is a great stay for a large family or group of friends. We look forward to returning next year.
