Island View is a charming three bedroom estate situated on three tropical landscaped lots that overlook the Atlantic Ocean and provide you with your own private paradise. Boasting expansive ocean views, and a heated oceanfront pool and tiki bar, you may never want to leave! Whether you lay in a hammock, enjoy frozen drinks from the tiki hut, watch the sunrises & sunsets over the water from your wraparound porch, or just relax by the pool, this ocean side retreat provides everything you need to enjoy a little slice of heaven in the Florida Keys. Take a swim in the ocean, or fish off the dock. Great for kayaking & boating too! (Photos are post Irma)

We loved everything about our stay at Island View. Incredible views in every direction, huge private lot(s), well-heated pool in winter, dock for fishing, great kayaking around the mangroves. Communication with Kelly was excellent. While we spent most our time enjoying the outside, the interior of the home is in great condition and had everything we needed. We’ve already booked it again for next year.

Wonderful Location

Awesome property in a fantastic location on Ramrod Key. Great house, pool, tiki bar and boating access to the Lower Keys. Hosts were gracious and extremely responsive. Well cared for property. Love this place and look forward to visiting again in the near future.

Perfect place to relax

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was the perfect vacation. Everything that we needed was here from the pots and pans and cooking spices to the pool floats and blender in the tiki bar. You can tell that Kelly has put a lot of thought into everything, even the beds and pillows are very comfortable. We will definitely come back.

Amazing Stay!

It is impossible to state how much we enjoyed our stay! The house looked exactly as pictured but you cannot describe how lovely the property is! The pool was fantastic, the beds comfortable and the living areas comfortable and up to date! Kelly was a fantastic host - always willing to respond to a question and gave some great recommendations for restaurants and things to do! Everything about this property is wonderful. We had everything we needed - and so much more! We enjoyed it all, from the well-appointed house to the pool, the tiki hut, and the hammock. The location is fabulous, and it was great to just wake up in the mornings, hop on the boat and go. We never wanted for anything. I highly recommend this property for family fun. Best view in the Keys

We had a great week at Island View. The house was well appointed and had a very well stocked kitchen. Pool was fantastic. Dock was safe. We were there through Hurricane Helene and the owners were very helpful and supportive. The house was so strong you couldn't even feel the wind.We felt very safe the whole time. Would love to come back another time!

Perfect Keys House

We have been renting in the Keys for 40+ years and this is by far our favorite rental! The property is huge (3 lots) with a cool Tiki Bar, big pool. cleaning table and great dockage. The house is superbly maintained, beautiful, and well stocked. The view is spectacular and the location is perfect for both ocean and gulf activities. Kelly is awesome. We would highly recommend this property.

Hosts With The MOSTS!

Having been there six weeks, we can say that every one of our 42 days was a delight, especially since we knew for fact that Kelly and Bill would be just a text or call away to answer our endless questions and deal with any rare, unexpected issues. There are many superb properties on VRBO but none come with the huge benefit of having such a competent, caring couple watching over their tenants.

Gorgeous property, perfect location.

The property is huge...3 lots, large clean pool, fish cleaning station, brand new dock with dock whips for my boat, fresh water hose at the dock and in the front of the house. The chanel leading out to the bay could accommodate large boats. I saw some 45 footers in the chanel. The "no-wake zone" was about 100 yards long. The house was immaculate, we never ate out as the kitchen was ample. Really cool Tiki Bar next to the pool. 2 kayaks for use. The view was gorgeous. Looe Key, some of the best diving and snorkeling on the planet is 5 miles away. The owner was very kind and accommodating considering that we went during the COVID-19 pandemic. We will definately be back.

Why they chose this property

We hope you enjoy your stay at Island View on Ramrod Key. We immediately fell in love with this property the first time we saw it in the early 1980's and finally got the opportunity to purchase it in 2000. We bought this home for the spectacular ocean views and the privacy and space of the three lots which give a resort feel to the property and we are happy to share it with you, our family and friends.

What makes this property unique

There are many things to enjoy in this area during your stay. Whether you are an outdoor enthusiast and enjoy fishing, diving, boating or water sports, the lower keys have something to offer to everyone. Key West is nearby for shopping or site seeing and although we have tried to equip our kitchen with whatever you may need during your stay, we do have some wonderful restaurants nearby as well.
Whether you are looking to experience all that the lower keys have to offer, or just have a vacation away from it all enjoying our views from inside the house, in the pool or having a beverage of your choice around the tiki bar, we hope you enjoy your stay at Island View, and we truly hope you will come back and visit us again.
