About this property
Charming & Conveniently Located to Attractions!
This cute home has charm and comfort! Beautiful Garden and grounds (front and back), outdoor shower, second restroom outside, and a hot tub. Depending on the season there is fresh fruit trees and berries to enjoy.
This space is super unique and has had a lot of TLC put in to the development of the property. There is a hot tub and an outdoor shower with hot water. The second bathroom is a detached outbuilding in the backyard. The backyard has high fences and is completely enclosed, making it a very private space to spend time and enjoy being outside. The front yard garden area is completely enclosed behind a fence, also making it a safe space for children to explore as well. The home is great for children and babies. Bedroom 1 has a crib. There is a baby swing hanging from one of the trees and some children play toys and a play house. There are also many edible plants in the yard which guests can help them selves to when fruiting/blooming. Bedroom 2 has a king bed, and the office has a floor futon that is suitable for kids as it isn't that long so feet might hang off at the bottom. The north east corner of the home has a sump pump under the king bed and during the rainy season it can come on regularly to mitigate water accumulation under the house. For a light sleeper, this may be an issue and ear plugs would be advisable.

We rented this property for our employees during a work trip, and it worked out perfectly. The home was clean, comfortable, and well equipped with everything we needed for the week. Check-in and communication with the host were smooth and straightforward, and the location was convenient for our needs. Everyone had plenty of space to relax after long days, and we appreciated the thoughtful touches throughout. Would definitely book again for future team stays or group trips.
Could not have been more pleased with our stay.
Very clean, orderly, well equipped. The hot tub was an added plus we didn't realize we would use as much as we did.
We will be staying here again in the future.

Thank you so much for being our guests! We’re happy you enjoyed your stay!!
My three kids and I stayed here for four nights and absolutely loved it. The bedroom with the king size bed was large enough that all three could sleep together and I could have my own bed (bonus!). The hot tub was a huge hit as was the backyard. The location is central to just about everything and never took more than 10-15 minutes to get anywhere. We will definitely stay here when in the area again!

Thank you so much for being our guest! We really appreciate having families and kiddos enjoy the space :)
The property was in a safe neighborhood and the home was just as described. The host communicated well and we had no issues. The hot tub was a nice perk! Accommodations were comfortable and it was easy to get to the highway and places we were traveling.
My husband and I booked this property for a long weekend with two friends. This was perfectly located for our trips to Healdsburg, Sonoma, Napa and Sebastopol. The checkin and check out process was easy and clear. We appreciated the amenities and everything was as listed/as expected. Not sure why the other reviews mentioned a "sketchy" location - it felt like a perfectly safe neighborhood and we had no trouble.

Thank you so very much for being our guests, and also we really appreciate the feedback on locations. My wife and I raised our kids in the neighborhood and we never felt like it was too unsafe. Comparatively, we lived in Oakland for 7 years and that was what I would call sketchy. We LOVE our neighborhood there at Russell's Retreat. It is not the nicest and most affluent part of Santa Rosa, like the Fountaingrove area, but it's definitely not the hood. Come back anytime!
Great location only about 90 minutes from San Francisco Airport. Was there with my daughter & friend for an the Adult Sectionals Ice Skating Competition. House was the perfect size for us & close to everything we needed. Communication with the owners prior was easy with quick reply. Definitely on my will stay there again list if ever coming back to Santa Rosa.
We stayed here for a family get-away with our 4 year-old twins. The property is super family friendly - our kids were delighted to find toys to play with in the closet and also loved exploring the backyard, complete with playhouse. The house is very well prepared - kitchen and all supplies were well stocked, things were neatly labeled and easy to find.
Location was convenient to many things including less than 5 mins to the Children's Museum and Schulz museum, just a few mins to downtown Santa Rosa square.
We definitely hope to stay again!
Property is exactly as described--fit our needs for a 2 night stay while wine tasting and beer touring during the day plus had time to visit the Charles Schultz Museum only am. Found a great place for breakfast--Piner Cafe--yum! Have added to our future VRBO searches since it was a very hot weekend while we stayed at the retreat--central air or at minimum air conditioning units in every bedroom--our only disappointment as we failed to read the all the details.
My family and I were in town visiting my sister in law. We loved that it was close to everything! We forgot a few things and the store was a 5 min drive away. The bed in the main bedroom was super comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet, except for the occasional fireworks (we were there 4th of July). The backyard is spacious and good for kids. The 2nd bathroom is outside and bigger than we expected. Overall, we would stay here again. It was a great place for our family!

Wine country trip
The house looks as if it were just remodeled and has a beautiful kitchen and nice family room, new washer & dryer, so super nice. It says 3 bedroom and 2 bathrooms which technically it does, however, there is only 1 full bathroom and that's inside the house. There is a 1/2 bathroom outside and then there is a shower...literally outside the bathroom. Also the "3rd bedroom" isn't really a bedroom. The master was good size with plenty of closet, dresser space but the 2nd bedroom didn't and it's super small. The house is only 850 sq ft, so I'm not complaining, just giving notice to future renters. It's a good house for 4 people. The neighborhood was a bit concerning as we pulled down the street and we were a little nervous but we didn't experience any problems at all.

Our listing description has always been accurately representative of what our home offers, with only 2 bedrooms and a second backyard bathroom and outdoor shower. We always strive for clear communication in this regard. We are thankful for your feedback and stay. We were happy to host!
