About this property

Family apartment with great old city view, balcony, wifi & parking on the street

The tasteful furnishings in our family apartment reflect the love and care we have put into it and clearly distinguish these accommodations from typical vacation rentals that only offer the bare necessities. The apartment is located in a quiet residential area close to San Domenico, just a 10-minute stroll from the center of town (with the bus in front of the house you can reach the pedestrian zone in three minutes without walking uphill...).
The house is built on a slope: The apartment is actually on the 3rd floor but it is half a floor below the main entrance (about 15 steps down the stairs without elevator).

All of the rooms feature antique furnishings. Both of the generously sized bedrooms have hardwood parquet floors with a fishbone design, while the yellow marble flooring in the living room creates a unique, colorful accent.
The two baths, both with windows, have been completely renovated and feature luxurious amenities. Thank to the brand new water heater (installed 2019 December) the warm water supply is now much better than the years before. Water pressure and temperature are ideal.

The kitchen provides virtually every convenience you could think of, including a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave oven, refrigerator, oven and of course a gas stove.

The spacious living room offers a magnificent view of the cathedral hill that simply cannot be found anywhere else. On the balcony you'll find a bistro table and two chairs inviting you to enjoy sunset with an aperitiv or a good wine glas.

All balconies offer sun awnings to protect you against heat and sunlight at summer.

Parking is available in the neighborhood. Please consider that we don't have a privat parking slot, so that you cannot book a place for your car.

IMPORTANT: A brand new portable air conditioner "PINGUINO DE LONGHI" is available to cool down the master bedroom or the living room. Both sleeping rooms are equipped with modern fans.

Very nice apartment in a great location in Siena! The apartment was roomy, clean, well decorated with nice paintings/furniture and had modern appliances. The balcony views were outstanding. There was an unusual September heat wave with multiple days in a row of 95 degree heat, but the fans and portable air conditioner kept the main room comfortable and could be moved to the master BR at night. On most other days, the breeze through the windows did the job. Alternated between walking up the hill to town and calling a cab on rainy or extremely hot days for dinner, exploring sites, etc. We also used Siena as our base and rented a car for a week for day trips to other great Tuscan hill towns such as Pienza, Volterra, Castellina in Chianti, and Montalcino. No issues parking on the street near the apartment. The host Alessandra was very nice, helpful and responsive. Overall, a great trip and the apartment/city are highly recommended!

The hostess, Alessandra went out of her way to accommodate us, in that she allowed us to drop off our luggage at 12:00 while the apartment was being cleaned. We went to a nearby bistro and had an excellent lunch, bought groceries at a nearby market (A&O) and returned to the apartment. The views from 2 of the 3 balconies of the Old City are spectacular and the apartment is very comfortable and spacious. 5 star accommodation!

We loved our stay here. It was a short walk to historic center and the views were amazing from all the balconies. Plenty of room to be comfy!Alessandra responded to emails promptly!It was nice having a washer as it was midway through our “carry on” vacation!

We had an amazing time in Siena. The view is spectacular and we so enjoyed all the natural light. The kitchen was very well equipped and we made many delicious meals.The location is amazing! Walked into Siena everyday. The neighborhood market was also very convenient. I am so sad to leave but know that we can return in the future. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here! It was a beautiful and clean property with a great location. Everyone at the property was super accommodating and was helpful in getting checked in and acclimated to Siena. Would recommend to others and hope to stay there again!

Purtroppo non posso dire la stessa cosa della mia recensione, in quanto voi personalmente siete persone molto carine, ma avete lasciato la casa in uno stato catastrofico. La mia donna, Laura, si è messa a piangere quando ha visto gli asciugamani sporchissimi in fondo alla vasca tutti bagnati, il lavello della cucina davvero lurido e tutto il resto che non sto a descrivere. Per questo motivo chiederò un rimborso per pulizie intensive. Mi dispiace, ma questa è casa mia, e non un albergo, e sentire che è stata lasciata così in malo stato mi dispiace personalmente. Inoltre con il phon avete rischiato l'incendio. Quando ho visto la foto che mi ha mandato Laura mi è venuto uno shock, come potete lasciare un phon dentro una scarpa e lasciarlo surriscaldare in quel modo? è vero che mi avete lasciato un piccolo importo per ricomprarlo, ma davvero avete rischiato di incendiarmi la casa, una cosa mai vista prima... The apartment gave us a truly immersive experience in Siena. It takes you back in time while offering all modern amenities. Our host, Alessandra, was very responsive, informative and flexible. Fantastic location. Comfortable, spacious and gorgeous property!

I loved staying at this property. The home was immaculate, very comfortable and stunningly decorated! The property manager is a gem to communicate with and everything from laundry, kitchen and bathroom essentials were available. I would highly recommend this home to anyone and I am very likely to be a return client.

Our main priority as a host is to ensure that our guests always feel right at home and view our apartment as their own.
