Our stay was all good at this property, as it was close to the expressway for us to drive to our destination in Creedmoor each day. It was also near to good restaurants, golfing and parks. The house was well equipped and clean.
My college roommate and I stayed here for our reunion weekend. It was a quick drive to campus and was a cozy and quiet retreat after days filled with reunion events! The house was perfect for the two of us and was stocked with everything we needed! It was clean and nicely decorated and perfect for our trip! We would stay here again!
Me, my dad, and my dog drove down to the Triangle area to visit family for the weekend. Truly no complaints about this place; it was clean, cozy, quiet, accessible, comfortable. Very easy logistically and a nice place to relax. Super glad we picked it!
This is the second time I used this property owner’s property. Both properties are clean, comfortable, and very well supplied. I strongly recommend and look forward to returning in the future.
This is a terrific location - close to major routes and all parts of the Raleigh-Durham area, yet a walkable, quiet neighborhood. Michelle was accommodating and the house was clean and perfect for our needs. Would stay again!
What a great spot to land while helping our daughter move home after grad school! Super convenient location, and an amazingly quiet neighborhood made for a restful, peaceful place to reset each evening, and jump off in the morning. We would stay here again!
This listing checked all the boxes for us — a safe, clean, no-hassle stay for us during our sons baseball tournament in the area. It was really comfortable and a great alternative to a local hotel. It allowed for the extra space for me to be able to take work calls, and for all of us to relax. I really am grateful to have stayed here, and would do so again in a heartbeat.
Great location for us to visit my father and other family. Very nice layout with large back yard ... we didn't actually use the yard for this visit but we will definitely book again the next time we drive with our dogs. They will love it!
This was a great place to stay with our dog. We loved the fenced in backyard for him to wander. The house was nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. The little neighborhood is close to a park for walking. The location gives easy access to Eno River State Park, Duke University, and also downtown Durham. Would definitely stay here again!
Beautifully updated and remodeled cozy home. Special touches and high quality provisions throughout. My dog loved the huge fenced in backyard and this was a lovely retreat while receiving treatment at Duke (8 minutes away). Super responsive hosts. Highly recommend!!
The house is on a dead end street, so while there is a highway nearby it is relatively quiet. It is so nicely decorated, which adds to its charm. Everything was very clean, and the kitchen had everything I needed. It is very near Guess Road, so it is close to lots of stores and restaurants. My grandson and I had a great time playing soccer and football in the huge backyard.
Perfect location, safe, quiet neighborhood, with kind neighbors. Close to every venue, store and restaurant you need.
House was beautifully updated with modern interior. Fenced in yard was perfect.
Property is as described and in a nice quiet pocket of Durham but still really close to all you come to Durham for. Owner was very prompt with replies to various questions about the house before and during my stay.

About the host
Hosted by Carson & Michelle
My husband and I take a lot of vacations with our dogs using VRBO and we decided that we would like to offer a place, just like our great hosts have offered. We found the perfect property, close to Duke and the VA so that families who were receiving treatment could have a place to stay close by if needed. My Mom needed that when she was alive.
My husband is quite talented as a tradesman and works for a local hardware store. Myself, I work with data for a worldwide medical equipment manufacturer.
While neither of us are native to North Carolina (Carson from Connecticut/New Mexico and myself from Saudi Arabia), we do love this area and all that it has to offer.
Why they chose this property
This is the coveted Watts-Hillendale neighborhood! It's the most desirable for it's location, urban parks, golf course, and ease of access to downtown, Duke University, Durham School of Math and Science and 3 hospitals, including Duke University Hospital and the VA.
What makes this property unique
This property was recently remodeled back to it's mid-century roots. It's on a large double lot and has a wonderful lanai to enjoy the afternoon breeze.
