Wonderful

Everything was wonderful, including comfortable beds and a fully functional kitchen (a surprisingly frequent issue with rentals recently)! The proximity to hiking, Blowing Rock, and Boone was perfect, as well. Very highly recommend staying here.

Thank you so much! We'd love to have you back anytime! - BRMR
Property was great. We only had a few issues. Fireplace smokes terribly until fire is lit and door is completely shut, then works fine. Outdoor lighting is lacking. There is a post lamp by the street and lights on the steps, but these were not working during our stay. Overall, very nice property.

We were notified by the rental company 2 days prior to our arrival date that this property was unsafe to occupy. We had to scramble to find other lodging as we had family flying in from out of state and another rental booked for another family member. We had no choice but to stay a home that did not meet our needs and was remote in location. This was a very stressful and upsetting experience.

Liked: Check-in, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Cleanliness, communication
House was great but not very clean.
The home itself was so nice. A true cabin feel. The cleanliness of the home was very poor which was disappointing. There was a wad of black hair in the master shower drain and long pieces of hair in the tub upon arrival. Traveling with little kids made this extra gross as they need baths not showers. Also, the rug in the main living space was full of hair/fuzz. Every time we sat on the floor our pants were dirty when we got up. Having a crawling baby who was finding bits of old wood and food under the couch was also unfortunate. The fireplace was also a huge problem as it created a ton of smoke in the house.
